I want a new pastel Color inspired theme
KotZ replied to Megbricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Dots kind of fits this idea, even if they are smaller tiles and parts. I'd say use those for greebling while using the more accessible pieces as the structure. -
I would've killed for a sorter on LEGO Masters. Instead we did it all by hand.

1) What is your favorite FABULAND animal? All of them. Well, the elephant and the sheep. 2) Should LEGO bring FABULAND back? Yes. Give me FABUStar Wars and FABUBionicle. 3) What is your least favorite Mafia role? (Can either be a generic role you don't like to see including in games or a specific experience in a game) To play? Vanilla. To play against? Masons.

I really hope not. That would be a massive issue for people who want to army build and such. Although depending on wording, they could maybe get around selling whole "figures" and just sell the parts individually, but I'm not holding my breath for such a legal oversight.

While this thread was necro'd, I do have my own answer to this, even though I don't have any kids (and me and my girlfriend actually watched The Lego Movie last night). My girlfriend has always told me if we move in together, we need at least a loft for my LEGO collection that I have where we are. I've got 13 cardboard boxes full back at my parents' place, which I'll grab. Someday. Because I want all my Exo-Force and Bionicle and Castle and everything else under one roof again, dangit. Anyway she knows my love, and after watching The Lego Movie (where she was pointedly looking at me during the live action scenes), she really knows I want to have a city and medieval village, etc. So we live in a HCOL area here in the States and have jokingly talked about buying a house in the middle of nowhere to flip and make a profit on, but also just buying a house in our area is expensive. But we were saying we need a place (or if not a bedroom that could be for only LEGO a garage or similar) for the storage and display. Maybe some sets could be on "public" display in the house. Of course, kids are the big thing of this thread. I've always told myself, and I build my MOCs to not have any glue, both for myslef and the few ones for work I've done, that LEGO is a kid's toy that you can build awesome great things with, but if it's not playable, get another hobby. The only exceptions I have are some Ideas sets and the Architecture line. So the castle I'm building is playable. Would I want my future kids destroying it? No. Absolutely not. Can they add to it? Yes. I think that's where I currently fall. There's no harm in playing together and making crazy contraptions ala TLM. There's no harm in building things just for display. But if you have kids, I'd say (and I hope I will) teach them how to creatively add on and give constructive criticism to builds to make the whole better.

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
KotZ replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
Got mine today from one of my local LEGO stores, currently on Bag 2. I'm really enjoying this build so far. Fairly relaxing. I can hear the waves and cannonballs in the distance! The 2009 pirates used a prefab base that was very similar to the saucer pieces. That was one piece but had a similar idea. The multiple saucer pieces and building on those really help that sandbar look. -
One of my local stores had curbside pickup available so I FINALLY was able to get Pirates of Barracuda Bay. They even had separated the CMFs by type, so I was able to get my two most wanted, Tournament Knight and Viking. I also got 40411 12 in 1 for free, as well as 40338 Christmas Tree. I'm assuming they just had a bunch of those in their inventory and hadn't gotten rid of them yet due to COVID-19.

FABUPUNK Mafia! Conclusion—Heresy!
KotZ replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hi! I'm Caylin Cow, princess of the defecting, successful, FABUrealms! Who are you people again? I had a lot of fun this game, thanks Hinckley! I really used it as an excuse to kind of just go absolutely nuts in a game. Yeah, getting Bob/Priella was incredibly lucky on Day 1, but Bob's doubling down of not even addressing the first vote when pressed sealed the deal that Priella was scum, for me. I'm surprised I didn't get killed at all. Below are the PMs I sent to Hinckley during the game of my actions and thoughts, similar to what he does whenever he plays. Also are the ones he sent back of roles I got from the Trickster. I'm excited to read the deadboard and see everyone else's thoughts. -
I think LEGO just wasn't ready for the massive success that was/is Ninjago. they had experimented before with "mini" big bang lines, like I would say Exo-Force was probably their first real foray into that. Sure we had Bionicle and that multi-media juggernaut. KK2 also was a bit similar, as it had a story, but less media. Exo-Force ran three years, just like planned Big Bangs, had various media like books and I think some short videos, games, etc. It was dealing with a new, unfamiliar world, similar to NK, Chima, Ninjago, etc. I think Exo-Force proved to LEGO that these quick Big Bang themes would work, so they wen ahead with ninjago. And after not having Ninjas since the 1990s, they sold like hot cakes, especially with the story and amount of media they pushed out. The other themes are victim to Ninjago's continued success. The problem with Ninjago now is that it serves as the catch-all theme for everything LEGO used to do. Knights? They're basically in Ninjago. Space? It's in there. Mechs? Yup. City-esque? Yeah to an extent. Ninjago is like LEGO City. We used to have lots of the minor themes but their modern iterations reside under the CITY label because it's easier to sell. We still have and had lots of casual themes. Elves (I'd consider it casual rather than Big Bang), Hidden Side, Galaxy Squad and Ultra Agents. Once Ninjago ends, we'll get a new Big Bang theme that will cycle through on the three year cycle, or maybe it goes 9 years like Ninjago is. What I would prefer is a few Big Bang themes that cover various areas, but not as much as we saw with the casual themes.

Thanks! I love using the double feather or the flame/feather for quills. Thy work great. And fixed in the main post the recruitment listings. Thanks! Everyone needs to see our men working hard at getting more men o join the ranks. Excuse me, this is a peaceful force.

My dear Emile, I hope you are well. It has been far too long since I have heard from you. I pray you are safe. Lots of things have been happening since I last heard from you. Oleon is raising forces? I pray you can have leave to visit me soon, although I fear you will not be able to. Outside one of the taverns we supply, soldiers have set up and begun recruiting. The children seem to love it, the idea of playing soldier. Was this you when you were younger? They are buying people drinks and women to get them to join up, promising them more on the other side of the sea. I hope you are not partaking, although that is the life I married into. Please come home soon. I've heard from Gilbert and William since you sent them to El Oleonda, and somehow they ended up on the wrong side of the war! Can you imagine that? I'm sure you can, love, those two always seem to get themselves into trouble. Please stay safe, and come home soon. All my love, Elise After seeing merc's build of Eltina's walls, I figured I had to continue with them for continuity. Thanks for an easy addition, merc! For raising troops, I am raising a platoon of 10 men.

Yup. I thought it was against the rules anyway. Like make a post about your MOC, and throwing the link to the Ideas page is ok at the end, but show off the MOC, just don't say "support this!" especially if it's, in my opinion, lackluster. I think a signature is fine, but I'm not a rulemaker here.

Where's the tuba? *fwoom fwoom fwoooooom*

All from Warhammer! I'm having a lot of fun turing these into LEGO. Thanks!

"For the Emperor!" the captain shouted. "For Altdorf! For the Empire!" While wildly innacurate, the Helstorm Rocket Battery was incredibly scary, especially when it hit its target. What's that, Toddy? Some rockets almost hit you? Well maybe you should get out of the way! Here we can see Helstorm Rocket Batteries in the colors of Altdorf being led by an Altdorf Captain. Here we can see a captain with his sword and firearm, ready to lead brave men into battle.

Can't we just make two AI Fabuland figures? This is FabuPunk after all.

Lego Legacy as a Tabletop Game?
KotZ replied to RebelTheAnomaly's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I think this would fit better in the LEGO Media and Gaming subforum. I'm a little confused on what you mean as a tabletop game. Isn't this basically the Heroica game TLG put out a few years ago? If it's about a storyline/quest, we did have on this board the Heroica fantasy RPG and hopefully someday the Heroica 2.0 game, which is leaning towards a sci-fi/fantasy/who knows version of the original. In the RPGs on here, characters are infintely customizable aside from race and class which you choose from the beginning, and class could be changed for the most part. Regarding LEGO Legacy, I enjoy the game, but it's horribly imbalanced and drop rates are atrociously bad. I'm not sure how these would run for a tabletop game. -
So I was right! This is Cyberpunk 2077!

Will this one be delayed to november like Cyberpunk 2077? Either way, count me in.
