Eurobricks' 3rd LDD RCB
Lalror replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I am currently working on a bar for all those worn out pilots. I have a few other ideas if somebody takes that one, but it will be fun either way. -
Minifig File Hi all, I have been searching for a minifig model that could be used in other 3D CAD programs for animation or anything else along that line. The only minifig models that have been available for download so far have been expensive, and lack things such as rigging. Anyway, it took me a while to find this, and I think that anyone interested in doing any sort of Lego animation will appreciate this model. ~Lalror Note: I did not make this model and claim no responsibility for it... or something like that, I've never really put this message at the end of anything before.

Did this incident happen during beta, or after the game was released?

How do you convert a 3d model into bricks?
Lalror replied to allanp's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Interesting, I would assume that is how Lego is able to build such accurate large scale models, such as giant minifigs that you see at Lego stores. It must also take things such as stability in to consideration 'cause otherwise you would just have a bunch of 1x1's without any support. Speaking of which, does anybody have or know instructions for a one foot tall "minifig," made from normal Lego bricks. I have done some searching and I haven't found anything yet. ~Lalror -
How do you convert a 3d model into bricks?

Right now, there is not even a way to export LDD files to other formats. Even then, it would take a fairly complex algorithm to make something like that happen. Its one of those things that somebody might come up with someday, but if you seriously want to try to do it, try learning python scripting, and maybe using blender with several imported Lego pieces. ~Lalror -
I did NOT post it in this section, it got moved here from the LDD area for some weird reason. Thanks for the compliments though.

Eurobricks' 3rd LDD RCB
Lalror replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I just missed the second one, which happened right before I really got into LDD and EB, so I am hoping that I can join this one! -
Here it is, my latest LDD moc. Really there is nothing to tell, its just a lego model. Enjoy. ~Lalror

Stalk element not friendly in LDD
Lalror replied to Lego Otaku's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I am not sure how this all works using real pieces, but my suggestion would be to make the flowers on different levels. E.g. every other row is raised one stud. ~Lalror -
Here are some more of my minifigs that I have made inside LDD. Enjoy! ~Lalror The first guy here is some sort of future soldier. Strange traveler A simple practice dummy.

Restoring backgroundless screenshots in 4.1
Lalror replied to Randal's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hmm, I havent seen any changes in that. I recently made a new avatar, which as you can see, is transparent around all the sides, and the program still sends everything to the same place in the same format as before. Could it be the theme that you are using it in. The one I did was the the extended mode but I am not so sure about how the other themes take screenshots? -

Probably because it was almost the exact same as the design by me mode was. -

No, it does not need to be removed at all. That file is actually blank, you can even run the program without it existing. But, if you want to use LE, then you have to keep it saved with the text in it. ~Lalror -

Actually, I would kill to have an altered version of minecraft using the complete assortment of Lego bricks. -

Ok, I just re instaled the program and this time I was able to edit everything, and make it work! Thanks for the help all, I am loving all the new pieces! ~Lalror -
OpenStreetMap Lego city?
Lalror replied to Dilvish's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Yes, that is exactly what it is. But what I think the situation is, is that we want a property that is bigger than the LU properties, and that people can work on together, at the same time. -

Lalror replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
In that case, its not working for me this time. When I did this with the LU mode in version 4.0, I had to actually delete my preferences file because my computer wouldn't let me edit it. So I did the same thing with the Extended mode; I replaced the file. I am thinking that maybe I am not using the right file format, does anybody know if that would change it? Anyway, I will probably figure it out soon. -

Hmm, I tried it and nothing new happend. Does this also create a new mode called "extended" or does it just add on to the LU section or something? -
Wow, looks great!!! I am installing the update now, looks good! ~Lalror

My only complaint is that softer plastic that they use in some of the collectible minifig accessories, clone blasters, etc. It gets scratched really easily and even after sticking in a minifig's hand and pulling it out eventually wears it down to uselessness. I just want that nice, hard, strong, plastic that Lego is famous for back. ~Lalror

Lalror replied to madoka's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am all for this, they are one of the best pieces on the planet! I have a bunch of them and really, the look good on any minifig. -
That is a darn good moc. You have really mastered the art of making beautiful scenes out of Lego. They are not only fun to look at, but the amount of detail keeps me staring for minutes on end. Great job, hope to see more! ~Lalror

I remember that in a bunch of polls that Lego did, it seemed that one of the things that they asked, was if they should reduce prices and lower box sizes. I am actually glad to see that this is happening, but, where are the lower prices then?

Welcome, I really like some of those moc's of yours!
