  1. Thanks A LOT for the scan/pic!!! Very revealing!!! From the pics, I'll give a 4/5 stars for the figures (only one of them has a hairpiece), but only a 1/5 for the set. Looks like a bad interpretation of a Battle for Middle-Earth 2 orc building: * Isengard buildings: http://bfme2.heavengames.com/factions/i-buildings (check the armory) * Mordor buildings: http://bfme2.heavengames.com/factions/mo-buildings
  2. AWESOME building! It made me take a look at my MVR for a quick comparison... And it made me feel like doing a new roof, just like yours! Great job! I love the hinges at the door and all the little details -- like the different bricks, the techniques and well, everything!
  3. That's very nice! Seems it just popped-out of the screen right into Lego form!
  4. Don't forget to get them on the novels, too -- very good way to get the kids reading, I must add!
  5. Thanks a lot for yet another awesome blog post on Lego Castle history!
  6. I guess this might be of interest, Just got it via Twitter: http://www.brickjournal.com/view/article/96/ In brief (and I quto): "LEGO CUUSOO Minecraft set to be Revealed at LEGO World Copenhagen!"
  7. Congratz! I wish you all the best with your novel! I hope we see many MOCs based on The Cleric anytime soon!
  8. The Force is strong in the OP! Most impressive MOC!
  9. I just went through the whole thread... And it's amazing! Your city and each and every building in it are so lovely! I really like the classic feel about your MOCs and how you mix it with modern furniture and other techniques.
  10. Is it the 12th already? Do we have new pics? Oh, no, 6 more days to go! #6-day-hibernation-on-its-way
  11. Wow, looks amazing! Can you please pimp my ride?
  12. Looking promising as always, LT! I'm not particularly fond of the lights in that position, because of all the gray in the background (in the bank) -- but I guess it's just something for that one camera angle and it's probably going to work once you get more buildings around and take a couple of other pictures.
  13. When is the next wave of pics due to -- I mean, when is the next toy fair? Is it this very weekend in NY?
  14. Wow! Nice technic on that tent! Thanks for sharing! This is just an AWESOME MOC that keeps getting bigger and better!
  15. Wow! What a great Sauron! Helmet, mace, everything! A worthy opponent for the new Fellowship minifigs!
  16. FRONTPAAAGE!!!
  17. I'm so going to spend a lot of money to get all those minifigs... Thanks for sharing, Skalldyr!
  18. Wow! I'm in love with everything! Impressive MOC
  19. As I cannot send you a PM, NotoriousPYG, here goes my message in full: Hi there! I don't know if you are a Twitter user or not, but I linked your Red Son mosaic to Mark Millar via Twitter (@mrmarkmillar at Twitter). As you know, Mark Millar is the writer of Red Son. He said the mosaic is really amazing and that he loved it. Kudos to you, man! Gratz on the beautiful work -- both with the Red Son Mosaic and the Hellboy one too!
  20. Wow! The amount of detail is just impressive! This is a trully awesome micro MOC! Having watched The Dark Knight just last Saturday, I have to say it's breathtaking the similarities between your model and the real thing.
  21. Wow, beautiful MOC! I like the style -- clean, simple and beautiful. I like the colors, too. You Italian by any chance? Anyway, I really like the colors and the design.
  22. Wow! Great town! Nice layout! Impressive city you got there! Seeing that MMV there makes me think that Lego should really think about releasing some Castle/Kingdoms/Medieval/Fantasy/whatever Modular buildings...
  23. On the side: I love seeing all this Lord of the Rings action in here, but it really got me wondering: does any of you play The Lord of the Rings Online? The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) based on The Lord of the Rings -- and it's great! The Epic Storyline follows the story of the trilogy and there's also the MANY, MANY quests and sidequests that take place all over Middle-Earth. It's one of the most accurate LotR games lore-wise, taking the players all through the history of Middle-Earth. I know there's a Lego Lord of the Rings game coming out, but I really think you guys should at least give LOTRO a try. The original game (with no expansions) is called Shadows of Angmar and it's completely free-to-play. With Shadows of Angmar only you can play in many, many regions, doing both Epic Quests and all the other quests and go from level 1 to level 50. There are many worlds (serves). I play in one called Meneldor. I have been playing LOTRO since 2008 and although I've played games like Ultima Online (which I love), World of Warcraft and many other MMORPGs, my free time always takes me to LOTRO. If you are interested, you can register, download the game and play for free in here: www.lotro.com. If you are ever on Meneldor, send a tell to Calamis, the Elf Hunter!
  24. I'm guessing Orthanc/Isengard will be divided in many sets -- Orc Forge is just the first one. We'll probably have something like: * Rescue at Orthanc: the top of Saruman's fortress with Saruman, Gandalf and Gwaihir, the Windlord; * Chamber of the Palantir: some sort of office/library with Saruman, Grima and the Palantir/The Eye of the Enemy (and why not an impulse with Saruman, a small table/desk/pillar and the Palantir/Eye of Sauron?); * Battle of Isengard: a round black wall with orcs fighting ents (with 4-5 you can get a full round wall for the big "Saruman set" -- see below); * The Tower of Orthanc: 2-3 floors of the black tower of Saruman (maybe even modular in nature, but if you get multiples you can have a high tower anyway). That's just my guess... Or wishful thinking -- call it what you will
  25. You are right. Just took another look at it. I thought maybe the one for the keep was a baseplate, but it isn't either. I used to love baseplates and I believed they should be everywhere. But this very same week I started goofing around with some castle designs and I have to say the plates make some things much easier -- if not altogether modular. I built sme walls and towers and it would not look so good if they had been built over one -- or over a couple of -- regular baseplates. On topic: did you guys notice that if you get multiples of the Uruk-hai Army you can attach the wall to Helm's Deep and have a longer wall -- and bigger armies? Nice feature. I'm guessing Battle for Helm's Deep x2 may be just perfect to get a great Hornburg.
