Eurobricks event #15 Günzburg - information topic
Holodoc replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
IMPORTANT UPDATE! Due to the aforementioned problems we decided to a) chose another date b) chose another location The event will be moved to 11th -14th of April and will be held in Günzburg/Germany once more. That's one day shorter than what we usually do: Thursday - Sunday. This gives us the opportunity to avoid the date struggle in May/June, avoid Brexit complications for those coming from outside the UK (it seems that it will boil down to a no-deal Brexit ), visit the Fabrik in Legoland Germany while it's brand new filled (the park opens the weekend before) AND visit the LEGO store in Munich during AFOL shopping times on Saturday! That's what I would call a win-win-win-win-situation! Hopefully most of you will (still) be able to attend to this shorter event. We are definitely looking forward to it and are planning the program right now. Please reply here to tell us what you think about the change and if you want to join in the fun! I'm currently hard working to get an accommodation (Kirchenbauerhof is fully booked for Saturday/Sunday ), so it would be incredibly helpful to know how many we will be. -

REVIEW: 71023 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie 2 Series

Thanks for you reply! Sorry, that was a typo by me: I meant dbg (dark blueish gray). Looking at your answer it must be it and I expected to be dbg. Too bad, not flat silver... (hips and legs was right) Light tan... whatever that may be... Can you post a comparison to a tan brick? I was mislead by looking at this pic: I thought it was dark green and dark brown, but the dark green is printed. -
REVIEW: 71023 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie 2 Series
Holodoc replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Whitefang can you please clarify what color Tin Man's hands are? Are they dgb or flat silver (like the Torso and legs)? And what about Scarecrow's head? Tan or bright light yellow? I noticed a lot of dual molded parts this time! Even hips are dual molded now! While this is good news for almost everyone, the monochrome enthusiasts (like me) are disappointed. -
Too bad there are no chrome red Hands - the keyring figure Comes with 'normal' red. The legs from the Crayon Girl are dual molded with blue. Both coral parts are dual molded: The torso is plain coral, but the arms are not (with yellow). So are the legs (with light aqua?). Scarecrow's head looks tan to me. I can't really tell from the photo, so I'm not sure what Tin Man's Hands are. I bet they are dbg.

If ever a complete monochrome figure will exist in the new color, my estimation is it won't be soon. Something around 2021-ish. For now it's just 13 parts. Mission impossible (unless there are new recolors). The lbg and the green one is not (yet?) available in the ID 50665. And that is another ID than the old 9842a

REVIEW: 71023 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie 2 Series

Thank you once again for this extraordinary and in-depth review, Whitefang! I'm always looking forward to this CMF reviews, they give you the needed information about what to expect! To be honest: I didn't expect much by the first pics, and the review confirms my thoughts: There is a lot I can easily pass on! There are just 4-5 figures I might buy, mostly for the accessories they come with. And those figures are all not originally from the TLM2 movie... But maybe I'll change my mind after having seen the movie. -
Thank you very much for this excellent review on a set I have been desperately waiting for! The design of the CNY sets came out of nowhere. I was completely overwhelmed when I saw the first pictures. Really extraordinary sets, all of them. Nice (printed!) parts selection, clever details - LEGO at it's best! Now I'm counting the days to receive it. (Finally it worked via Australia ... )

And sand purple hasn't been made for the last 17 years. So I'd start playing the lottery instead of hoping for a sand purple head in the future.

Eurobricks event #15 Günzburg - information topic
Holodoc replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
The doodle is now closed and we have got a tie between 29th of May - 2nd of June and 19th - 23th of June with both 9 votes! One of the problems: Neither date works with Copmike. That, the date finding for the organization team and the just 13 votes all in all let us re-think about this year's event. We are not decided yet, but maybe we will handle the event differently this year. Please stay tuned! -

With a no deal scenario coming closer I would guess YES, but still everything should be manageable. -

We are currently focusing on Travelodge (Slough or Windsor). But any other idea is welcome, too! -

Haven't checked it yet, put most probably yes! -
Oh yes - that's a plain head in set 75971! Well spotted! Plenty of those have been made in what BL calls "flat silver". Unfortunately all of them printed.

please check everything that's possible. There's also an option "yes, if need be" for the dates which are not optimal, but still would work. End of voting - end of week: Sunday, 13th. Is that a good or bad thing? Sure, the park and all other public places would be more crowded, but if that is the only option we will have at the end of the poll, why not? I keep that in mind, let's first see how the doodle works out. -

That's why I asked everybody to write here if a) they will be at BW and/or b) will not come for another reason. The dates are not set stone! So please do the following: I put up a doodle to find out which dates would suit you best. And those who don't want to come anyway (on any date), please also tell us in the doodle (write down your name and don't check anything). I have proposed the dates from Wednesdays until Sundays. It could also be Saturdays until Wednesdays, but that is not possible in one doodle. Leave a comment for that please. Thanks! Edit: I hope everybody knows how to doodle... -

I haven't checked for this year's prices, but following the provided link should guide you to the hotel's website... -
Hi everybody! You may have noticed that there are some especially nice new sets coming to the market soon, but according to Brickset just in "Asia-Pacific". I'm talking about 2019's Chinese new year sets: 80101: Chinese New Year's Eve Dinner 80102: Dragon Dance and 80103: Dragon Boat Race (no pic to date, but you'll find some confidental ones in the net...) According to my sources, this one will be China-exclusive! Can somebody in China (or wherever they are available) keep an eye on those sets? And obtain one of each for me? Pretty pleeeaaase?? Of course I will take care of the shipping costs.

Hello and (still) happy new year, everybody! It's 2019 already and we haven't been talking about this year's event. According to our normal schedule, it will be held in lovely Windsor this year! EDIT: For a few reasons we are plannig differently this year: The event will be moved to 11th -14th of April and will be held in Günzburg/Germany once more. That's one day shorter than what we usually do: Thursday - Sunday. EDIT: changed the picture from LEGOLAND Windsor to LEGOLAND Germany We had some behind the scenes talking about the date and we finally came to the conclusion to set the dates 12-16th of June. (Wendesday - Sunday) We do know that this date interferes with Brickworld in Chicago which will beheld exactly at the same time. So if that is an issue with you and you would like to attend to both dates, please raise your voice here! Experience tells us, that there are just a few people going to both events and we valued other dates of course as well, but these period seemed to fit best. The core of the event will be Thursday - Saturday. The program isn't fixed yet, but this could include - visit of Legoland Windsor (almost obligatory) - visit of LEGO Consumer Services, Slough - visit of Harry Potter Studios (on public demand ) - visit the City of London - visit Windsor Castle and of course a lot of fun stuff, like games, contests and so on... So if you are interested and would like to join and have a special interest in something other might like as well, please tell us here! We are an open community and the event is what the eventees make out of it. Your input is needed and appreciated! Copmike and me are the ones to put all the interests together and knit a nice program out of it. We would love to see a local Englishman/-woman work with us on special issues that are easier manageable from the UK than from abroad. This may count for the accomodation for example. We had two very friendly and cosy places to stay four and eight years ago. The latter doesn't do hotel any more and the Oakley Court Hotel from last time was considered a bit too expensive from some eventees. (although I really liked it!!! ) So please give feedback here and sign up in the according sign-up topic, which will be opened soon when we are sure about the date! EDIT: please scroll down to take part in a doodle survey to find a date for the event!

I almost got the Italian phrase without translation!

Buongiorno as well from Germany and buon anno / "Prosit Neujahr!" Well, that's a bunch of languages you're studying! I can easily imagine that there's hardly any time left to play with LEGO. Hopefully there will be more money and more time when you have finished your studies! I may come back to you with Italian. I started learning your language by an app, but after two months I started to do it in a slipshod way... ... but I still want to improve on my (very little) Italian!
