  1. The total number of casualties costume-wise in the New 52 is pretty small in my opinion. Harley Quinn, Starfire, Raven, Green Arrow a little, and some others that I just can't remember at the moment. Everybody else made it out either much improved or not changed at all. Honestly though, I don't care quite as much about the costume as the character when it comes to what figures we get. I'd like to see what they do with the arms for the New 52 version myself. If it turns out bad I can just replace the arms anyway, so why not?
  2. At least it let them tell some non-Joker stories for awhile. I think the way they handled it was really great, though, the way he used it to prove his point about Bruce Wayne being a mask. Death of the Family is a pretty interesting read, btw. Not every chapter is gold but god, there's enough f'd-up Joker stuff in that book to last 3 more retcons and boy what a climax! Anyway, off-topic...
  3. New 52 Captain Cold isn't that bad. I think the New 52 did him a favor, personally, but his look is close enough to the classic one that you should be able to make a pretty easy custom classic one.
  4. From what I could find on Bricklink, there isn't one with a traditional eyepatch, which is extremely odd.
  5. I actually think that idea is amazing. Can you imagine John Stewart flying the Javelin through a Starbucks drive-thru? Batman glares at him as he sips his latte and John's like "I TOLD you, I can't fight crime til I've had my coffee!" Wonder Woman's got this look of disappointment on her face, and Flash is sitting in the back with a bag of cinnamon rolls that Batman paid for just to shut him up. lol (I don't have any of those coffee cup pieces though. Are they really in a lot of sets?)
  6. But his ring can make a tiny membrane around himself so he can survive in space, and if his ring dies than the shuttle will, too? I don't think that spaceship saves power in any way.
  7. No, I was referring to Kizmoz's minifig display problem! They said that with the official set release. Sinestro steals the lantern, Hal can't recharge his ring, so he...uses his ring to make a spaceship because he can't breathe without his ring...???? Maybe the jet's just faster than flying so he can catch Sinestro or something.
  8. Same. We somehow have 2 Flash rogues but not a single bad guy for Wonder Woman, one of the big three? I think what's most frustrating is the fact that she's composed entirely of pre-existing molds, so it's really possible for her to be made for real. Then we're getting the Invisible Jet, meaning Wonder Woman's one shot at a solo set has been shot and unless we get her just to complete the Legion of Doom like we are with the Justice League, she'll never really make sense in a set. It just kinda sucks. (This is pretty off topic. Don't make a tangent out of this here please)
  9. Coulson is a fan-favorite character, though. People want Stan Lee, too, and he's just some old dude design-wise. Plus decent SHIELD attire means an easy army of SHIELD agents. I think if we do see him it'll either be in an USM set after this Web Warriors thing is over or in an Avengers set later on. Also, Agents of SHIELD is Avengers continuity; with that logic, the Guardians of the Galaxy don't exist either. Do you guys think the reason that we haven't seen any of the Marvel wave yet is because of the Chitauri leaks from the first Avengers? It'd make sense for Marvel to be hesitant to let Lego reveal anything for Avengers 2 when they spoiled the first one on accident that way.
  10. Atom has a cowl, Firestorm can fly, and Red Tornado doesn't have hair and can fly. If you're referring to Captain Atom, I think he can fly, too, but that might be a possibility. I doubt that they'd get desperate for Superheroes enough to include the Watchtower staff so soon. I considered that, too. Maybe one JL/Legion of Doom and one Bat-Family/Bat-Rogues?
  11. I don't see why Billy Batson would be flying the Javelin, although it would be nice to have Shazam in some form or another. Dick seems like the most likely right now, since we actually have a design for him that DC would want to push, but I think we should think a little harder. We know that the pilot has to fit these criteria: Spiky black hair White A or high-B List Hero Most likely no ability to fly Male Possibly has stubble, or is at least old enough to That opens quite a few doors. Kyle Rayner hasn't been a big deal since the 2000's and I doubt that they'd want two different Green Lanterns in one wave. The hairpiece exists in enough colors that they wouldn't need to use it as a stand-in for any alternate color save for orange (which could possibly make Jimmy Olsen an option, though an unlikely one). A Robin variant would be too young for the stubble aspect. Superboy seems possible but also very unlikely. Hulk, what expression did the head have? That could give us a clue as to personality.
  12. That's Tech Suit Robin, not Space Suit Robin. I'd say that that's just a diving Robin variant they used to save some money on new printing. It might just be a placeholder, though. Either way, I'd be okay with it. As for whose in the Javelin, that's hard to say. I'd look through some of the confirmed characters for the game with that hair (Dick Grayson (not Nightwing) comes to mind) to get a decent idea.
  13. Yeah, I'd like for them to get boot printing, too. At least Flash, anyway. The up side to duplicate Flashes is that you'll have a spare for customs (like the Firestorm purist I've been wanting to make for ages, or the Shazam some have mentioned on the purist superheroes forum)but Aquaman doesn't have a lot of use outside of being Aquaman. It would be nice if he could get a variant, or at least something unique (*coughcough*rideable seahorse*cough*) to make him worth it, although I'll be buying that set for Black Manta regardless. Btw, do you guys think Black Manta's helmet will be an actual helmet or just a whole head?
  14. Bat-Mechs have been around forever, actually. Bats used one in the Court of Owls story recently, even. There were a few in Batman: the Brave and the Bold I belive, and he basically used one to beat Superman in the Dark Knight Returns. I'm a little disappointed by Cheetah's absence, too, and if they're doing an Invisible Jet now they'll be pretty unlikely to do a solo Wonder Woman set anytime soon.
  15. Wasp is probably pretty likely, given this. So we have 5 sets and 9 Avengers, plus at least one villain... Hm...
  16. Other Lanterns are gonna get really easy to purist thanks to the GL figure, though. Now you just have to find a good head. I'm still holding out for a Red Hood, though. He's the only main Robin that hasn't seen the light of brick yet, plus he's crazy cool. Ra's is definitely going to have to come soon, though. (Jeez, one wave without endless Batman and I'm starting to want more Batman Like I could go for two or three more Bat-villains and allies, maybe even a GCPD set.)
  17. Not exceptional, OUTRAGEOUS! Is it wrong that I'm glad we're getting so many new Batmen (Batmans? Batmi? Batpeople???)? I really want a spare new Batman head for my Wildcat purist fig, plus it's a crazy cool design. The fact that we're getting Hawkman is shocking, although certainly awesome. But I guess this means that this wave will effectively complete the Justice League lineup. The New 52 one, anyway. Now I just have to hope for the Legion of Doom and the likes of Green Arrow, Atom, and Blue Beetle! Grodd's supposed design is a little dull for certain (the cape would be nice, or at least the helmet. He's basically just a gorilla with a neat forehead tattoo now.) Now how long until we get prelims? :D
  18. I'd like to see pics of that, actually.
  19. Hawkgirl. Hawkman. Blue Beetle. YES. VERY yes.
  20. Actually I wanted to make a staff for Stargirl that matches the one from the game.
  21. Anybody know if this piece is expected to come out in pearl gold any time soon?
  22. I'm not sure they will have to be unlocked. If they are, I think it'll be story-based, like how you get new gadgets in the Arkham games when you need them, and not like the separate characters. The suit wheel is always available in every level, even in story mode.
  23. Why are you guys assuming there will be a larger Ant-Man? You realize he gets smaller, right? Like, not big but the other thing? I'd say we'd get a regular sized Ant-Man and then a tiny Ant-Man. If this is tied to the movie in any way (which it will be, even if it's in an Avengers Assemble set) he won't be Giant Man until he gets those powers, probably in a sequel if at all. Before anyone says this is going along with the post about the giant ant with Ant-Man riding on his back, that's very very much speculation (albeit wicked cool speculation).
  24. Okay, I'm willing to believe that Lego's taking a step up from Batman sets and including an array of characters, but there's no way that they'd do a whole wave with only one, maybe two Batman minifigs when they have a brand new cowl mold. Plus they'd be out of their minds to make a Darkseid-centric set when the new game heavily features Brainiac as the primary villain. A lot of this sounds like too much fanservice, as much as I'd like to believe that we're that close to Grodd and Manta.
