  1. I've seen some good Lobos using Mutt Williams's leather jacket, and any variety of vampire heads and radical black hairpieces. Deathstroke's a whole lot harder to do well, since he's got such a unique pattern to him. If I were you I'd fold and just get the official version, and maybe make some changes to him as you see fit. By suits, do you mean costumes or formal wear? Because if it's the latter, there's always the Question, Moon Knight, Sandman, Crimson Avenger, Zatara, mostly just look out for the early, pulp hero types.
  2. Probably because there'd be four big-figs in that line, which are expensive to make and usually only show up once per wave, and also Agents of SMASH doesn't quite have the same size audience.
  3. Glad to see that we're getting more variant heads, too! This Batman is a must-buy for me now!
  4. Syndrome's arms would be really useful for Green Lantern.
  5. If it wasn't silver...
  6. Ah, should've figured it'd be a sidecar. That's cute, I guess. Kind of a bummer that there's no new minifig or anything, but I can't say I'm shocked. Wasn't there talk of another polybag? Maybe we'll get some cooler in that.
  7. The torso's always been the hardest part, especially with Flash's head being so perfect but using a very specific red. The new fire-y head bit from the upcoming Ghost Rider figure might be better for him, though. Clever idea, using the old Hulk minifig's legs on him! I didn't even notice that those weren't Gobby's legs until I started looking for them! Good work!
  8. I'm hoping to get two Mr. Incredibles so that I can use the arms and legs to make an upgraded Tim Drake. And, of course, there's the mask, which is really useful for any number of characters. That's all I have with just the pictures we've seen.
  9. Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer wear essentially the same suit, the black one we saw in the first wave of DC sets. I figured we'd all continue ignoring the Batman serials though, since they aren't feature-length films.
  10. I just realized something: we now have a minifigure for every major live-action Batman...except for George Clooney's. Lego Bat-nipples, anyone?
  11. In physical form it would be. They change that here so that they can animate him better and for the sake of the prehistoric Vandal.
  12. No, they wouldn't be copying the movie people. The movie people just tend to get some info on what characters are coming in whatever form. We get Buccaneer Batman and the Legion of Superheroes in Cosmic Clash because Lego told them they were making those figures. Supergirl gets a spot on the League because Supergirl is in a set that year. They make these movies work around the tie-ins, and usually long before the sets have a final design, as you can see in the differences between Brainiac's ship in the movie and in the final version. Brandon Vietti has an idea of what's coming before we do. As for Vandal's look, I don't mind the trenchcoat version from the beginning, but the caveman Vandal was really unpleasant and definitely not the figure we would get if we get him.
  13. I guess the challenge for us all now is perfecting that Falcon minifig. Better arms and legs, and a much better Redwing!
  14. I just watched that Cosmic Clash movie, and I have to say, Vandal Savage's design seems way too out of the ordinary for him not to be on the way. The movie folks tend not to make characters that different unless they're marketing something. I have to wonder if we'll see Bat-Caveman sometime in the next year or so, too. He looked very doable. Saturn Girl got too much attention for her not to show up somewhere. (And oh my god, please let them never use Supergirl in another one of these movies again. That cheerleading thing...good lord. )
  15. That Ultron's surprisingly nice! The glow in the eyes adds a lot! Loving Bunker! Glad to see you finally found a head for him! Iris is looking pretty spot-on, too! That Firefly's pretty great, but maybe if you use a different helmet on him it would help distance him from Yellowjacket?
  16. Sick burn brah I don't mind Batman variants so long as their fun and have a source. So long as they're not crappy action figure-y type variants I'm game. I wasn't crazy about the Scuba suit and the Arctic suit but after Robin got a scuba suit I warmed up to the idea of basic utility variants like Arctic and Hazmat and Superman-Face-Kicking suits, but I much prefer stuff like this Buccaneer Batman and the Zur-En-Arrh Batman that come from the comics or tv. Not gonna lie, I would buy the s*** out of that.
  17. To be quite honest, I don't think reusing the Star Lord head is the worst thing in the world, it's fitting enough, but it seems a tad lazy. I was looking forward to a new head, preferably one with at least the mask on one side, but I guess this will do. Rhodey reusing Cyborg's face is not only really inaccurate but also completely dumbfounding. They have the head to reuse, just reuse it! It's not like they lost Don Cheadle's face in a fire. Above all else, though, I just hope someday that we'll get an accurate Steve Rogers, one with that 50s-era hair like the 2012 Robin figure. That's all I need in this life.
  18. I really wanted to go there, but hitting up the X-Men at all was pushing it a little. What a perfect sort of set to reintroduce Deadpool in, though? If Spidey got a more expressive face, just imagine what they could do for Wade!
  19. I don't know about never. They did just make a set based on a show from the 60s that hasn't even done reruns in years, after all. The show's definitely popular enough and pretty PG, not to mention the Ideas project. It also serves as another excuse to use their Flash cowl mold, making Flash in a darker red and Zoom or Reverse Flash. It's not too hard to imagine that we'll see at least one expensive set based directly on the show. That display looks nice! I'd definitely pay 8 bucks for that set The real bummer with that set is that there's really no good reason to buy more than one, as opposed to something like that Hydra Tank set or the Green Lantern v Sinestro set, where you could spend not all that much and get some good army building out of it. Deadshot and Harley are just that: Deadshot and Harley. Still, a really nice set with a really nice price point.
  20. Mighty Micros Iron Man would be a great excuse to make a classic red and yellow Iron Man. Thor and Loki seems like a pretty likely set, maybe Iron Man and the Mandarin, and perhaps Wolverine and Magneto.
  21. What exactly is the problem with this Crossbones figure? He seems alright to me, but I haven't seen too many decent pictures?
  22. I wouldn't be surprised if this year's SDCC exclusive is the Knightmare Batman from BvS. If we get somebody from the Flash, the most likely and least heartbreaking possibility I can think of is Captain Cold or Cisco, since we could get super similar variations on them in a set like we did with Green Arrow. I think whatever this year's exclusive is, though, it's going to be movie related. Either a BvS variant or a Suicide Squad character with their movie design, but probably Knightmare Batman. I don't think Doomsday is going to be the film's big-bad. Zack Snyder said that there's still some way huge stuff we haven't seen, plus Doomsday's in basically none of the merchandise. Doomsday is probably just going to be the subject of one good action sequence for the sake of setting him up for a solo Superman movie down the line. Lex is still our villain. Hmm...where exactly could Raven pop up? If we see any more DC sets this year they're almost definitely going to BvS-based, we know what we're getting with the only upcoming Lego DC movie, he seems a tad too excited about it for it to be an SDCC exclusive, and those cube things don't come out until Christmas, which I wouldn't really consider "super soon". I suppose it could be a polybag or promo figure, or perhaps they've been making a new Lego Batman game and she'll be the pre-order bonus? Could he have info about the upcoming Lego Dimensions packs? How on Azarath are we going to get this figure??
  23. The hardest part about him is the legs. A bare chest torso, bearded head and either the generic tousled hair or the new Superman hair in dark brown would work just fine, but you'd have to find legs with his uh...skirt?...and probably weird boot leg guard things.
  24. So things are looking up for Young Justice's third season (if you haven't heard, Netflix is considering it, so watch as much of it on their as you can to send the message!) so do you think we'll see sets based on that? We did get that Superboy figure a while ago that has a lot more similarities to the Young Justice Conner that it does the New 52 one, and the 2012 Robin head looks just like Dick's from the show, with the smirk looking almost like it was lifted from artwork directly. I mean, if not full-blown sets, I'd imagine at least loose tie-in sets with characters like Aqualad and Kid Flash, right?
