  1. Why would you put such dreams in my heart?
  2. We don't know that he's not starring in it or any details about the plot or what kind of story is being told. Affleck is listed as a producer and production is supposed to start early next spring. Matt Reeves is still directing and it's not based on any existing story, but otherwise we don't know anything for certain.
  3. The only problem here is that the Iron Fist head and Reverse Flash torso are two different shades of yellow. The plain bare-chested yellow torso might suit it a bit better, or you could try some different heads. I'd also probably spring for the red legs with yellow boots if I were you! Oh, and welcome to the magical world of minifig making!
  4. On the DC end, I only saw 2. Marvel's getting a few more than three if I remember correctly. To be fair, my source is someone's Instagram story, and not a small someone either. I don't know if I can name names but I'm pretty sure it was someone with a vintage Spider-Man profile pic who shares a name with a three-eyed primate from the end of Jimmy Neutron cartoons, if that's not clear enough. Someone might wanna double-check on that, just to make sure I didn't overlook something.
  5. No, I heard we were getting Swamp Thing on the DC end, and Daredevil and Lizard on the Marvel end.
  6. I heard a rumor regarding a swamp set that includes Swamp Thing? Or, well, I heard two separate rumors: one that we'd get a Swamp Thing figure and another that we're getting a swamp set, which seem like they'd overlap. Grundy would make sense - he is a big deal villain that hasn't made the jump yet - but I don't know how exactly you'd confuse the two, even in preliminary stages..
  7. Forgot to upload these last two batches here! EDIT: Is anyone else having trouble uploading photos from Flickr? It seems the URL for embedding photos doesn't work anymore?
  8. I think I've seen a couple people use the Doctor Strange torso for Doctor Alchemy, but that's about all I can think of. Spider-Man stuff is kinda hard to reuse since it's so specific, but if you stretch your imagination a bit you could get a newer-style Spider-Woman out of it, maybe Lady Spider or some minifig version of SP//dr?
  9. If I were you and interested in maintaining your sanity, I'd look at every rumor and unofficial report about that movie and immediately forget about it. It was supposed to be about Batman breaking out of Arkham, now it's Year One, we've had six different villains at any given time with three different actors playing them at any given time, and don't even get me started on how often Ben Affleck either is or is not involved. It's like informational whiplash. Although, if anyone is gonna play a cockney, lanky Penguin, it might as well be Andy Serkis. I think we've had just about enough Penguin minifigs for a bit, though, imo - between LBM's '89 inspired design, the '66 design, two kinds of classic Penguins in the same year....are there any Penguin variants we haven't gotten that aren't unrecognizably different? By next year, we'll have Teen Titans Go!, Teen Titans Go! to the Movies on DVD, Young Justice season 3, Teen Titans season 6, Titans, not to mention DCUO's latest Teen Titans update and a brand new Teen Titans lineup in the comics. If we don't see the Titans in sets in a significant way next year (i.e. not just Robin and Cyborg again) then I'd say DC has absolutely no input on which characters wind up in sets, just the designs. They're betting really hard on the Titans right now and there's no way that won't be reflected in the merchandising end. ...hopefully, anyway. We really do need a proper Raven, and a Kid Flash, a Wonder Girl, an Aqualad, and a Speedy. LEGO has been shockingly sidekick-light for too long and next year is the year of the sidekick if there ever was one.
  10. It's got all the right details for a Black Lightning, but in the wrong colors. Personally, I'd go with the Black Vulcan head, but I'd be curious to see how this turns out!
  11. That's an excellent question! I wonder if it might be a licensing thing? None of the other figures are using their LBM designs I think, so maybe they had to change up Clock King's too?
  12. Oh man, that game is just spewing with fun designs! Clayface, Merlyn, Two-Face, the perfect Catwoman-! I need all four of those in a set STAT. Heck, all but Merlyn could come in the same set! As for the Aquaman set, I'm really into it! I like this sub better than the last Manta sub, and the minifigs are just fabulous! My only nitpick is that Mera is in turqouise and not that beautiful, classic green, but that doesn't keep it from being a really great figure! Excited to get my hands on this one! (though, not quite as excited as I am for that Brother Eye set! Do we know when that's supposed to come out yet?) Yep, that's Reign! I just hope we get some of the less big but more visually interesting Arrowverse villains, rather than just a bunch of Kryptonians and speedsters drenched in black.
  13. I mean, sea monsters and the giant seahorse (in this case, a sea-dragon) are supposed to be a pretty big part of the movie, and that seems perfect for a set. Maybe after the movie, for spoiler protection? Or does Lego do that anymore?
  14. Are we only getting one Aquaman set? Because the movie Ocean Master looks an awful lot like that, and he's supposed to be the main antagonist (with Manta being a secondary villain being set up to be the big bad for Aquaman 2).
  15. Given the helmet is made from an existing mold - something the Lego D2V movie guys don't really bother with much - I'd say it very well could be on the way. Aren't there more winter sets we don't know about yet? I saw a post detailing the one Aquaman set we're getting (another Manta sub with Black Manta, Aquaman, and Mera for $30 with 235 pieces) and we saw the Firefly set, but isn't there another one we haven't seen yet?
  16. Just for size or also with the sparkly side? I could be okay with either, but I do hope they're ambitious enough to print the little gold pattern on it!
  17. The SDCC panel has just been announced! The usual Arthur Parsons and TT crew will be accompanied by Kevin Conroy (Batman), Tara Strong (Harley Quinn), Fred Tatasciore (Grundy, Clayface, Black Adam, and Killer Croc), and Julie Nathanson (Silver Banshee)! According to Comicbook.com, we'll be getting some new character reveals, but just those credits already confirm Black Adam and Killer Croc, both of which I'm fairly certain we didn't know about!
  18. That would certainly be news to me!
  19. From existing pieces, that would be the best option, but I think if we get Dex-Starr at any point he'll be getting a new mold like Krypto and Ace did. That way they can get a satisfying-to-play-with Dex-Starr and Streaky out of it (and maybe Hairball over at Marvel I guess? Not as many super-cats as super-dogs, it seems..)
  20. 1. That's a dope Thane. 2. How in the hell did you manage to cause a crack like that??
  21. Oh man, I love that Arcade!
  22. Your Cloak and Dagger are pretty rad, but I am LOVING that Cyborg! The fact that we've had three Cyborg variants and none of them are from either of the hit animated series is insane to me, but you've filled that void pretty dang well! Way to go!
  23. Dick and Tim both, honestly. I'd say all the sidekicks and maybe Jimmy Olsen. Stargirl would be great, especially if she came with a STRIPE figure or even build. Batgirls could go either way. Wrong thread, but maybe Wolverine? I can't think of any Barry we've ever had that would justify those legs, though. The cool thing about this theme is that the characters usually age to a degree, so these new shorter legs aren't going to do as much continuity damage as they could in a lot of others. Everyone I've mentioned so far could just as easily be done with the existing legs without it being inaccurate. Even the Harry Potter sets are suffering from that already, but we're leg-proof! Yay! I think Damian needs to keep the short legs. He's a small fry, and a lot younger than Dick, Jason, and Tim usually are.
  24. Where was that? Are you sure it wasn't just Deathstroke's scabbard?
  25. I'm pretty into the set. The Rebirth Batman makes me fear that Lego's really sticking with that design for awhile, but I've still got my New 52 Batsy so I guess it's no harm done. I'm glad to see that Flash is finally getting boots, but it's a little frustrating now that I've already given him the legs from that beach set. That Ivy's gonna be great for scrap - I don't think we've ever gotten that hair in that color outside of that SDCC Phoenix figure. Firefly looks pretty great, although the neck bracket separates his head from his body to a distracting degree in the photos, and I wish they would've given him the little fumigation gun thingies he had in LB3 instead of a stud shooter, but I get it. The Bat-mech looks pretty badass and makes good use of those new Bat-gadget pieces they're introducing this year, but I doubt I'll keep it around for too long. The Ivy "mech" is really neat, though! It's a unique sort of build you could only get in a superhero set, and I really dig that! Maybe next time we get Ivy we could get some giant plant monsters or something, but for a sidebuild, I really dig it! I just wonder what the deal is with that Firefly helmet. The mold is perfect for MCU Wasp, but came out right after. It kinda reminds me of the gold dude from Daft Punk. I just wonder where else they might get use out of that mold. (Probably an Avengers 4 Wasp, but where else.) I highly doubt that this is the only set, but I would be thinking in terms of villains rather than heroes for new figures. It really looks like they're trying to tie in to the new game and make use of those new energy/Bat-accessories, so villains with that sort of powerset or cheap prints sound like the safest bet. I'd put my money on the likes of Grundy and Grodd (who play big roles in the game), Deathstroke (who has an even simpler design than before and doesn't reuse the existing one that's never been in a game before), Green Lantern (the only Leaguer who hasn't been redistributed recently and would make use of the energy accessories), Livewire (another use for the energy accessories), and the Crime Syndicate. Maybe an Aquaman rerelease, too, if we don't wind up getting movie-based sets.
