After doing a reformat, I lost my quick way of rendering, I think I have found my sweet spot, is there a file where I can backup my new default settings? -
Base plate problem

Just barely, but since most models are looked at from an angle, you shouldnt really notice -
Base plate problem

Try this: Attach the plates to under the vehicle, then place the baseplate under that, then remove the plates from under the vehicle to make it look normal. -

Hrontos, you pretty much summed it up, thanks for clarifying it for me, But I think i figured out my problem was that in the current version of the converter(1.2.3) is that it creates an .ini which seemed to make up settings for Povray to use and as it did that, it was making the render last all night and then to the point where it seemed to freeze the rendering. I disabled the creating of that .ini and was able to finish the render I have been trying to do for the last 2 days where it was going overnight, It just finished in under 90 minutes just now. Here is my result: -

Ok, after round 4, I think i figured out my problem, it was with the converter creating an .ini for use with Povray, Round 5 is going much faster now. -

Here is something I did a few days ago: Now I am trying to render a larger aircraft with transparent windows and I think the flight deck window is causing me much grief with it being transparent. -

Ok, I will now try this model at a smaller resolution and see how that goes(1280x720 with aa 0.3) instead of 1920x1080 aa 0.3 -

Bobsy, what settings do you use in the converter and povray when rendering? -

Is there a way to make povray use all available memory in my computer? I have 16gb installed, but with povray rendering, only 3566mb are being used. running windows 7 64bit here -

I have been rendering a model for the last 18 hours, woke up 2 hours ago from a night of good sleep, it was at 74% complete, 2 hours later, still at 74%, is it safe to assume that there is an error and that it will not progress any further? -

Is it me or does this converter put in random spaces between parts that make each render look hand-built? example below: -

I used JPG on purpose for the sake of my image hosts monthly bandwidth limit, But I am uploading the PNG to deviant art and then later, possibly to my brickshelf account. -

That cart I rendered overnight, I started that before I saw a reply to one of my posts about lowering the light intensity, I am working on a similar helicopter to the one I first posted in this topic and its approaching 7 hours 40 minutes, but its at 99% now so it should be done soon, but, from the looks of it, I should have done it at a larger resolution as i see some jagged edges on it already as i used 1024x768 AA 0.3 -

How does part count play a role in how long a render takes? I was under the impression that a file with alot of parts would take less time to render, But I was wrong as this file seemed to have taken all night to render: But, it seems to have taken as long as a version of my earlier helicopter I posted in this topic that I am currently re-rendering with all bevels and Lego logo on studs Should I choose the option for visible bevels instead of all bevels for quicker render? -

Here is my first successful try at this program: but I feel that it could look better/more realistic. any tips on correcting this? I wish to achieve something like user bbqqq's Sopwith Camel posted on the first page of this topic -
LDD Lego MOC by Seluryar, on Flickr Plane approaching airport over approach lights. aircraft used from 1990's Century Skyway, but used the 2004 instructions from set 10159. I hope that you enjoyed this digital MOC!

Having been away from the City/Town themes for a long time, I love the way the elevator looks like it works and has wheels to keep things smooth. I do not know if there are other sets that have an elevator as detailed as the one in this set. Thanks for the photo review!

Made this buggy using the axles and suspension from the 8070 Supercar. It is a one seat vehicle using almost entirely parts included in the 8070 Supercar set, but with the addition of one non-8070 part(64179 Light Bluish Gray Technic, Liftarm 5 x 7 Open Center Thick) The only features include Hand Of God steering and working engine pistons. Enjoy the following photos!
