  1. Time Cruisers / Warpers. Where else can you adventure around the world in space... and time? Mix and match fun to the max. I have a couple of sets including the Time Cruisers base, but am sad I missed the Warper's train, all weird and crazy. No reviews on here I saw once... Maybe I could review the base....
  2. Welcome! I'm an Ohioan as well, representing the 'Nati.
  3. Very nice recreation of this fair ride except... No doors! It'd look better and more believable it you worked in a cage, grill, or mesh-like element. It could be clipped onto both sides of each ride cockpit using 1x1 clip plates (or something else depending on what door you use). Safety first! Bonus points for the transport breakdown feature. Very novel.

    Serrator

Oh, that's sexy. Nice shaping on this. I have some of those side slope pieces, but never chained them together. Underutilized piece, I think. Nice scaly... reptilian feel to this technique. Front... hmmm.... why do I wanna see two of those cannons there... one out of each of the front end areas of the above mentioned piece. Just throwing around ideas.
  5. Neat. Though some detail expressing mode of propulsion might be nice. Like... wedge a headlight brick in there with some trans red 1X1s (circle or square), or perhaps trans red cheese slopes on top - rear, or maybe even a trans-yellow or trans-neon-yellow 1X2 grill tile. Unless it's supposed to be a glider...
  6. You should talk to / look at his MOCS / commission this guy: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44853 Best LEGO bike creation I've ever seen.
  7. Okdokey.... can't see anything. Try looking around to see how other people here present their MOCs for size of pictures, descriptions, etc.

    Toy Wars

GENIUS. I would watch this. Each character is well done and I lol'ed.
  9. Fairly new so forgive me if I put this in the wrong forum or area. http://www.brandeating.com/2010/08/news-carls-jr-new-philly-cheesesteak.html#more I loled. There is a historical "tale", a Rocky spoof, and a dinosaur rampage. You can see official sets and a bunch of custom minifigs. Oddly enough, there is no LEGO trademark on the ads... guess no official involvement by TLG. Enjoy.
  10. Great! Retro sci-fi? I sense a new LEGO fad coming on... Gonna make some more?
  11. Wow, that looks perfect according to the source material. Nice work, especially on the under-cockpit details / shaping. I don't personally like the foot connection... (looks too thin at that point) but that is the way it is on the source.
  12. "Your searching skills, work on them you must." Isn't this what you want? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=6027 Most things when you see "complete assembly" you can click "Inv" to see the parts that make it up. There is a bunch for sale... so tack it on your next CrackLink order. Good luck with the trade if you don't go that route.
  13. Innit these DC15s? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=57899 ~ can be had for like 2 for a $1 US.
  14. Oooooooooh. Through rods. I knew I was missing something. Maybe I can make an engine detail or something...
  15. Very nice! I like the overall shape, sleekness, and spoiler-ish construction on the back. Purple is great. I did a purple and white MOC recently and purple is a lotta fun (even though my purple supply is woeful!) If I would make one critique - the blades on the front look a little too much in the way of the driver's line of sight. Might look better end to end horizontally like a bumper...
  16. Whoa. I'm not sure I was aware of this set. Thanks for the review. Love the weapons as there is some fun looking ones - "nuke" bombs, guns with ski pieces on top, "big honkin" gun, lasers, how could you not like? I'm not a huge anime fan, but I like mechs. Good lord that's a big DSS! I'm always torn about stickers. There are some nice ones, but I ususally don't use them for MOC purposes. I do have to ask why you say the discs are good for MOCing? I've had a pile of these and I'm at a loss for any use for them! They can't attach to any thing, so do share anyt ideas you are thinking of! (I have a planned use for my trans-smoke disc launcher, but not the discs!)
  17. What is your current computer skill level? If you've advanced beyond rookie then try a free image editor. I recommend the GNU Image Editing Program aka the "GIMP." It's not too difficult for basic tasks such as creating font graphics, resizing pics and the stuff you'd need to do. The manual is fairly easy to understand. Image editing is a great knowledge set to have anyway and you can use it for your own photos, MOC photos, more pro programs like Photoshop, etc.
  18. Why not try a search? Flickr has a whole group devoted to it: http://www.flickr.com/groups/24604222@N00/ ( or you can search for LEGO steampunk and get stuff not in groups) or search this forum... or search MOCPages of course. I don't know much steampunk, but it looks a little too blocky, maybe if the feet were a bit smaller or broken up with a sloped area.... and maybe if there were some StP greebles (hoses, enginey areas, more pipes, etc) it would start to get somewhere. Maybe if the hands used a different finger technique (seen mini-fig legs, Exo-Force robot arms, etc) and the other arm used a different drill technique as well... But a nice start to a theme I haven't tackled. Look around and go from there.
  19. Ha, newbs don't read post dates! Anyway, not going to comment because the OP isn't going to read, but in response to the last question: it looks like Chris is only active in his flickr stream http://www.flickr.com/photos/fazoom/ Looks more like family life with the youngins than AFOL life, but there is LEGO there.
  20. Oh that's very nice! Luggage area is inventive, and there even seems to be room in the back for even more stuff. If I had to nitpick - no doors?
  21. Eh, it happens. Just point your browser at LEGO.com, hit "Customer Service" and fill out a missing part request. What else is there to discuss?
  22. Lego apple perfection. Ah, and it took me quite a while to realize those were not real pencils! If it was a contest, you'd have got my vote.
  23. I'll admit, I laughed when I saw the broom was included (even as a sprue piece). Sweeping isn't work fit for a princess! :P And the pic with.... um... "Draggy" is it? Hee hee Interesting to see the set anyway.
  24. Any typical price for the Family Home? Searched - can't find. People here have bought it / found at Target, so someone knows!
  25. Oh, I forgot I posted this, and here is a new wave of comments for me to look at! Athos: Yeah, he's the classic LEGO Castle ghost. No more, no less. But interesting thought. I have never done brick built figs before, but something B-B could have a more... solemn (?) appearance. I'll see if I can build something as an alternate fig. BrickClick, KielDaMan, LuxorV: Glad you all like the detail work. Thanks for the looksee.
