  4. I did a lot of customs based on mosana's design. Additionally there were some which had tw sides (front and back) on one image. This I split for own purpose. Maybe it's available on my brickshelf gallery (I changed the names therefore I can't check if's there) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=289972 Additionally a lot of designs shown on this link are not present in the library. (I first had another style but changed later on to mosana's style after ha had given the paint tutorial) Shall I check the changed images and give an overview here. 5. Thanks, I ordered already some helmets to prove my dragoons idea. Will post some pictures with some custom decals when ready ... Andreas
  6. Would be infterested in this list is it public?
  7. New Centurion Helmet: Can maybe also used as Dragoon helmet after cutting the sides? Andreas
  8. Arabian Helmet (see above) Battle Helmet (picture in shop) Centurion Helmet (see above) Dwarven Helmet (picture from shop: Elven Helmet (old) Gladiator Helmet (see above) Great Helm (picture from shop: ) Hoplite Helmet (picture from shop: ) - seems to be a new design Legionary Helmet (no picture seen so far) Turban (picture from shop: Gladius sword (see above) - maybe usable as napoleonic dragoon sword (bonaparte?) Great Items, nothing more to say ...
  9. Very nice scene. Also the other vignettes show a lot of possibilities for building roman forces ... You should definitly visit the new brickforge shop, which has a lot of new Roman times based new items Andreas
  10. There are also some pictures of minifigs??? used with the accessories. Does anybody know what these figures are. Andreas
  11. On the brickforge side it's mentioned that there are 20 new items. Does anybody know the other items? Andreas
  12. The Brickarms Brodie Helmet looks very fine!!!! Concerning your personal question ..... You can also take a look on: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/10735 To my point of view you have the following possibilities: 1) Wait for Brickarms ... 2) Buy a lot of kettle helmets and do some rework on them 3) Buy some kettle helmet do the rework and make a resin mold (please do a search, there are some pretty good examples) 4) Only to summarize my attempt for small number of pieces (but that's a lot of work and coordination!) -- make a 3d STL model for the helmet -- find some 3d printer who is willing to do some examples for you -- do some example pieces -- print the needed mumber of brodie helmets (You find some further inputs (costs, example, photos, ... ) in my custom Shako Thread ) Andreas P.S.: This week I expect the 2nd example: French Shako with pompon, afterwards I will print a certain number of shakos and present the results ... Any hope for a baker rifle or something from this age?
  13. To me these shakos look like the original lego ones but not as high ... (or like a stove pipe shako) I didn't mention that the drawing above describes the changes planned for the next steps. - 1mm less hight - bigger radius on the top - pompon on the top - the material can be manipulated with a file or sand paper - The painting was done with warhammer colours Andreas
  14. Current estimation is 2-3 EUR/a piece + 20-25 EUR a printing run The piece costs depend on the amount of ABS plastic used for the model. Andreas
  15. With plume you mean the same design as the original lego uses. Because the hats mosten had balls like . For producing I will first print 50 pieces maybe sharing some of them with others, when the complete technique is done a 2nd time. Depending on the price reachabel and on the interest I will see how to proceed ... Here's the shako design: Andreas
  16. No, I can't do that at home, but I've found the help of something who has access to it and is willing to give it a try. The model you've seen is the first result. For 3d printing see, it's amazing ... For producing higher amounts I have to talk with the supporting guy, if he's willing to do that, but there are also printing studios like http://rapidobject.com/ Andreas
  17. Currently I've planned a ball instead of a plume. The technique I'm using is 3d printing. Which means, changes can be made to the design, every print step. 20-50 pieces a step may be possible. Other hats (I've also prepared an ulan shako) maybe possible. Andreas
  18. Find some more pictures at: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=324572 Next Steps: The actual design is very simple to verify the processing technique. Below the next design is shown (black current layout/red new layout). - I will produce between 10 and 50 pieces - If someone is interested I will share some of them (sharing the costs ... 3-4EUR/a piece) Andreas
  19. and here's the first answer ...
  20. First picture, more later on this evening ...
  21. I've given a short summage in this thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...st&p=314788 Hope one of us i successful to get an answer for this annoying topic .... Andreas
  22. Since in the pirate thread there are some new discussion I want to summarize my current status: - I've got a 3d drawing proposal for a shako basic form. - This can then be changed in any way we want - The idea is to have a french style shako as first element - The test piece is already done and I will get it next week - The production is targeted to low numbers (25-100) pieces but reproducible - But that also gives the possibility to change the output (with plume, with pommel ...) - The costs for a piece will be discussed next week. My expert expects ~ 3.5 EUR/piece Andreas
  23. since you mention it now, i think you are right. i wonder if the whole stuff is enlighten ... nevertheless the pictures arwe great .... andreas
  24. One of my greatest favorites on brickshelf are the collections of tigerggyy: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2348881 http://tigerggyy.blogspot.com/ Here are some pirate related thumbnails ... Andreas
  25. I'm on the way, hope to have a first preview during the next 2 weeks ...
