  1. The first picture is "Napoleon in the Alps" and can be found in the index "MOCs based on paintings" Andreas
  2. Mostly true for infantry, but Royal Artillery and Kings German Legion (I think light Infantry) did wear blue coats: But Cavalry regiments also had a lot of blue dressed units. Andreas
  3. Fine to see another guy bringing in some decals. I also try to reuse mosana's decal style and therefore often search for design I can base on: Mosana: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=249254 some of mine: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=289972 I think that decal comes very nearby ... Andreas
  4. Yesterday I saw the film master and commander in TV. That encourages me to collect and adapt some decals (certainly Mosana based ..). Additionally I added some historical correct torsos, hats and legs, ready for putting them on your ships: You will find them at (when public): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=321870 http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/woody64/...der/admiral.png Master, 1st Leutnant and Midshipman Doctor, Sailor Infantry Andreas
  5. I like to see your army growing, maybe this sheet I made a year ago may also help. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/woody64/...es/prussian.pdf Especially the cavalry based on http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Mosana/T...eonic/jena4.png is very interesting since it uses bicornes which are available as mass ... Concerning decals I use photo paper for printing which is a little bit easier to cut then normal paper (to my point of view). Somebody mentioned in another thread to coulour the edges of the paper with a marker to avoid this nasty white stripes. Andreas
  6. Now we can defeat Napoleon. Blücher has done that with the Krümper system. You can defeat him with masses of Landwehr ... Andreas
  7. I think you may use grey or red ones. In case of Landwehr regiments the common behavior also was to use private cloth or hat pieces. So in that case mayb you can also use top hats or bicornes for the officers. Here's another picture of a complete group. (Interested should take a look on the gallery, since it contains very interesting examples of army groups in a fantastic painting quality)
  8. Looking forward for your Prussian Landwehr :-)
  9. That reminds me on the famous archeologic best seller, where the story of the stone of rossette from the Napoleonic Egyptian champaign to deciphering from Champollion is described. That was an amazing story .... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Invasi...gypt_%281798%29 (Maybe stuff for a vignette based on a painting ....) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Fran%C3%A7ois_Champollion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gods%2C_Grave..._of_Archaeology Andreas
  10. I like it, i like it. I still was waiting for a new thread dealing with a new set of Napoleonic minifigs. Recently I did an update of my gallery based on Knoetels paintings dealing with prussian forces. Most of them are based on original decals from Mosana. http://lego-minifig-generator.mac-au.eu/pn...goKnoetel4.html If you take a look on the originals you will also find some forces which can be build upon the train or police officers hats which are easily available. Maybe you can ramp up your forces with these guys since these hats are easily available .,... If decals ared needed I will support you ... I added some troops to the austrians but according to Knoetel they were part of Luetzow's Freikorps (big advantage: top hats are ok) Andreas
  11. Great job, there's all included i like to see: - new uniform decals - instruments made from lego pieces - historical accuracy .... very well done!!!!! Andreas
  12. I really like them .... Andreas
  13. ... was mainly done to get access to php scripting. That enables some important tools like: - cut tool: cut decals to the needed size, which allows access to all decals which are part of a drawing - bmp support - face tool - png generation ... If wanted I can change the style ... andreas
  14. The actual layout available as .dat and .stl (3D) is french style which means broader at the top of the hat. For simplicity I didn't add a plume so far. Concerning filling I also considered your proposal if I get the info that the cylinder has to small walls. Let's see ... Andreas
  15. One of the pirate molder already has a shako. I think there's a photo in the we need shakos thread. But don't know how to get into contact ....
  16. That incites me, I will immediatly start. Let's take a look what results can be achieved with this ... Andreas

  18. Yeah, that's what I was earching for but didn't find the matching keywords .... Andreas
  19. Browsing brickshelf I often visit sides of the same author. Some of them really impressed me since the builders built a lot of high quality pieces. Remembering the Oscar for life work I want to share some of these sides in order to encourage others to visit them. Maybe also some others will publish such brickshelf links. Criteria: a lot of pieces in different topics with outstanding quality The first I want to share is: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=RebelRock Andreas
  20. But i think the Bison Hat of the Medicine man can be used ...
  21. No these minifigs are results of my minifig generator: http://lego-minifig-generator.mac-au.eu/ More results can be seen in the gallery: http://lego-minifig-generator.mac-au.eu/pn...lery/index.html Andreas
  22. one day of work later and LDView can store it's first .dat Files in STL format to be read by a 3D Cad program (blender). Currently I'm waiting on an answer of a molder, but I'm not sure how accurate the current model is but currently the given 3d format seems not to fit the needed input of the molder. As side effect I'Ve handed over the STL code th the LDraw developer, which will take a look on it.
  23. I've taken a look on your castle creations and was deeply impressed. All these MOCs have so many details .... andreas
