Okay, thank you! Yesterday i found out that the wooden structure, wich is underneath the roadplates, was not really a smooth surface . It took me 4 hours to evacuate the whole city and smoothen the wooden surface. I made a new roadplan and now it seems to be working better.. Within a week i hoop to have the entire city build up again!! The problem with the flowers is that they are made of a softer material, so, that's why they let loose sometimes.. But, most of the buildings are standing in place now, and also the traintrack is back on it's place, here and there nailed to the wooden surface, so it will not drop off.... I do have a place (16 x 32) for a little park with trees and a foutain or something...anyone pictures for me to inspire me ??? Greetz LegoSjaak

For a year ago, i started again with Lego... I bought also roadplates and meanwhile, i have about 50 of them . I ordered 2x2 plates in dark grey to connect the plates, but later i was wondering how others do this. Recently i ordered extra trees to put a tree on every 2x2 plate-connection, and bunches of flowers, to put around each tree. (4 x 3 flowers per tree...) Point is that the trees and flowers let loose pretty often ...so this is probaply not the best way to connect the roadplates... Tell me, how do you AFOLS do this?? Greetz, LegoSjaak

Well, hello there, yes, why not register myself! So here i am, LegoSjaak...! Born and still living in Holland, i'm collecting Lego City and trains.. But only the newer trains.. so 7897, 7898, 7938 en 7939.... Played as a child with 12V trains. I had about 3 trains those days, and for 5 years ago, i sold them all. It is almost a year ago that my son was born, and since then..a started again.. I love Lego City and have build a City with a lot of sets already.. It is also a kind of sport for me to buy sets secondhand... But i buy newer sets by the internet... often a lot cheaper then buying in stores!! For my city and trains, you can have a look at Flickr or Brickshelf... but i recently changed the layout, and i'm still working on it... so... within e few weeks, i hope, there will be newer pictures!! Beautifully done... Normally i'm not the person who likes steamers, but this one is constructed ver nice, i think...it will do very good under the christmas-tree, within a few months.. riding around!!!

Well, it is so easy to build in these lights....there's nothing that can go wrong..and actually there is also a lot of space left for cables and stuff. It would also be easy to put an extra motor in the cargo loc 7939....just plug in, and go..!! Thanx for your information, and the lights look very good !! Greetz, LegoSjaak

Hi there, your collection is also impressive... i like the modularhouses as well, but do not have any yet...i'm not sure wheter i will buy one.. they are pretty expensive and you need to have at least 3 or 4 before it looks like something.. But they look very nice. This week my PFlights will arrive...so then all of my 5 trains will have lights!!! I also get the Cityhouse 8403.... so it can be placed in the city.. Today i'm gonna redesign my tracklayout...i'm still not satisfied with that.... Well...enjoy your builds and your nice city !!

Thanks Holodoc, i had already a kind of picture in my mind, of how it might be done, but i think that this is the way how it works. I do have a question.. With one remote control, i do now control the cargo ánd the passenger train... is it stil possible to control the cargotrains speed and the lights...and after changing the little orange channelswitch, control the passengertrains speed and lights?? I think i know the question...i should only change the switch on the PF receiver of the passengertrain... and then i can control speed and lights separately... Okay, last question (letzte Frage) can you control with the orange wheel also the light-intensity of the PFlights??? I dislike it when the lights would be extremely bright, that it would lighten up the complete nose of the train.... Thanks for your reply again! MfG LegoSjaak

Hi there, is it easy to place 2 sets 8870 PF lights in one loc 7393? I heard that you can put the lights on and off with the PF Remote Control. Is there enough space to just plug in 2 plugs of the PF light set in the receiver? If there is a link to a drawing of how to do this, then i would be happy. I have ordered 4 sets of light at LEGO.com for 3 of my RC trains... Hope to hear from you !! Greetz, LegoSjaak

And i can also build an éxtra car out of the head and tailcar from my second 7938 set..haha... zo that will be 7 then!

Oh yeah, there can indeed be improved al lot... i'm not happy yet with how the tracks goes around town..and untill that, i cannot start with decorating the track with baseplates, trees and vehicles... The town itself is pretty busy, but i must say that i like it that way... It is also full because i can only use the space i have now, and that is a space of 3.6 by 2 metres. Within an hour i will order extra baseplates and trees at Lego.com and also sparparts, lights for the passengercar and cargotrain (back & front) and the familyhouse 8403. Well, it's gonna be a long winter, so i have to invest a lot of time to get it all perfect !! Greetz, LegoSjaak

I just ordered this set for only Eur 81,94 incl post an package (delivery) so that is véry cheap.... Bol.com offered this set for a very low price... Now i will have 2 sets....and i already ordered parts for 2 passengercars... zo, that wil be 2 longer trains... !!! Maybe i sell parts/cars, but maybe i'll keep them all...like this train, though it doesn't have doors....!! Greetz, LegoSjaak

A few sets with civillians, trees, flowers lightposts and for example a fountain would be nice... Just small things to fill you're little town! I feel no need for extra police stuff... there is still a nice headquarter available....7744.....

I like especially the idea of making an entrance at the back of the station. Maybe it is also a good idea to do something with the little shops of the public transport set 8404 if you might have this set already.....

Newschool....for 5 years ago i sold all my old Lego sets, especially 12 v trains. Last year i started buying new sets, and now i can't stop buying.. aha.. Search for LegoSjaak at Flickr.com (http://www.flickr.com/photos/legosjaak/) I have probably the most sets per square inch but i think it is looking pretty nice !!
