Nice Review and nice set. The Ninja-Theme was very exotic, but really cool. Especially the shoguns horse barding is the most beautifull part. I am a bit confused because of the cannon. The samurai did refused to use gunpowder-weapons (especially cannons), because the use of those weapons would be dishonorable, didn´t they?

My favorite "space ship" is my first Lego Space Set 6811 Pulsar Charger: It is simple and very very cute Sadly that green rocket part at the rear is missing.

Hello, sorry for necromancing but I would like to know if this nice set is still available at regular shops? I do not find it anywhere (i even checked out Ebay), but I could need this, because it would be a great armybuilder (4 pirates, 1 captain, 4 soldiers, 1 officer, 4 guns, 4 pistols and 2 cutlasses... very nice!).

I really really like the new "Kingdom-Theme". Because I am a fan of those classical Knight-Sets .I am very happy that Lego released a new knight-Theme, that goes back to the roots: Two human fractions at war, no trolls, orcs, dwarfs and stuff like that. Just Human vs. Human. A view dragons, ghosts or wizards/witches would be all right, but the "Castle-theme" is just to much Lord of the Ring/ fantasy. Those 2010 sets seems to be a modern version of the classic knights I love so much but with some new weapons, helmets and stuff like that. Especially those helmets like the heavy armored Dragon-Knight at the big castle wears are beautifull But a copy does not mean it is bad. Those sets are the best "Castle/Kingdom-Sets" Lego ever released after the serie, that contains "Black Knights Castle". The serie with the first dragons and wizards was also ok, but then the knight theme went down. Now they are back, fighting in all their glory. The think I like most, that you now can not see clearly which fraction could be the evil one (Human vs Undead? Guess who is the Evil. Dwarf vs. Troll... very difficult... oh wait, Shiny Knights vs. dark fright knights with bat helmet and evil witches...), the keep and all other sets look very nice and... well i do not know, how i could say it best... the "Kingdom"-Theme is fantastic! It is the most beautifull after 10 years of waiting and very strange sets. They are just perfect. The things i don´t like are the new wand and that srange new spear.. Just a brown stick. The original "glow in the dark-fairy wands" were simply the best! Those spears aren´t a big problem, because I own more then enough normal spears to replace them. But i have to admit, that the division of the Minifigs to the sets is sometimes very strange. Especially the allready mentioned heavy armored dragon knight, wo is in the lion-knight-castle set. Or that also heavy armored lion knight at the dragon knights tower. Because of him the lion knights minifigs seem to be much nicer than the dragon knight ones although it is da dragon knight set. For the future I would wish, that Lego releases more dragon knight sets, including a very nice and big keep und that the high fantasy theme will be reduced.... So long, Josy, a pirate and knight fan. :)

If you take a quick look at the Brickbeards Bounty it is a really beautifull ship, that is able to mess with the BSB. But if you look very close, you see more and more to dislike: a) the stern castle with the cannon doesn´t look good. Without that cannon it would be a well designed one, but the cannon is a "style-killer". b) Brickbeards Bounty has still just only half the cannons it could have. Sadly BSB is the only ship with a cannon for each "cannonhole". Even the new flagship has to switch the cannons. But fortunatly the cannons are built at wheels and not those strange "turning-disks". So you can equip BB and IF with additional cannons. c) Masts, that are built at the hullparts do not look very much. Instead I would wish some cargo place and a deck, where the masts could be. d) Where is the anchor?! e) The crew is to small for a ship of that size. 6 or 7 men would have been much better f) I do not like the design of the Rolly Roger at the sails, flags and Brickbeards hat. But all in all it is a very nice ship, that fits to the other Lego ships. Just the crew could be a little bigger. The rest of the 2009 Pirate Theme is good. Especially i like the printet back of the Minifigs. and some new colours. The smaller sets are allways able to mess with the small ones of the 1989 series. Cannon Battle e.g. is a very nice small set, contains a cannon, 2 cutlasses (even only one is needed) and a gun, which is a big arsenal for just 2 Minifigs. All in all Pirates 2009 just have one point I do not like: Some of the faces just look strange (but some are really cool e.g. that smile of the Cannon Battle soldier). The new Pirates are good, but the old ones are slightly better. I am happy, that Lego gives the pirates some attention after pirates were long time released only for Lego 4+ or Duplo. Even the Flagship is the only released set in 2010 (it is amazing, and the only ship, that could dare, to mess with BSB) i hope there will be many new in 2011 or 2012.

My first Pirate Set was Harbour Sentry... well it isn´t a Pirate, but it was part of the Pirat series. But my favorite one is the Black Seas Barracuda Set (with shootable cannons). I got an original one with unopened Box for just 90 Deutsche Mark (If i remember right, thats a price of ~50$? Unfortunately after 15 Years (and Playing, because I was at the Age of 6) some parts are missing and i do not know where I can buy them. Especially I miss nearly all weapons, some of the yellow parts and many small parts. Sorry, if my language is bad. I am not a native english speaking person.
