I really don't think they care about CW DC shows, only as an exclusive for Comic Con. Just doesn't seem like they think enough kids watch them. Plus kids are probably just going to being asking their parents..."Mom, Dad? What's a vixen?"

This would kind of make sense as Joker already has a bumper car in which to race around!

Do you know of a possible reason why it would be delayed?

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
dmarvin replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Don't ever expect to see a big fig in a $10 set, would be my reply! Has it been confirmed that the face print is the same as the Juniors though? It strikes me as a bit non-threatening probably due to the targeted age group for that set. -

Do we know who the villain(s) is/are in the MCU Spidey movie? -
I don't get what people are supposed to talk about in here. It seems utterly pointless to have this thread.

You're assuming that TLG cares about movie accuracy. They only start to care when they're making sets in hindsight, like they do with OT and PT Star Wars. -

I think everyone here would be dancing in the streets if they put Zemo, black panther, falcon and Bucky in the same set for only $50. And I'm really hoping there is a retailer exclusive that is substantial ($49.99+). There are even more characters to balance in this movie than there were in AoU; that would make it impossible for TLG to please everyone in just 3 sets. And since Spidey is the only one of those for whom we don't already have at least one MCU-based minifig, that's the only one that bugs me a bit. But we can hope for a polybag or retailer exclusive, perhaps when his appearance and look in the movie isn't so closely guarded! -

I can easily see Hawkeye being passed over since he has two versions from Avengers movie sets previously. If we have to sacrifice Hawkeye in order to get a Black Panther, Falcon, etc., that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Given the price points of the sets - $19.99, $29.99 and $59.99 - what is reasonable to expect for Minifigure counts? Based on past MCU sets, my expectations are 3, 4 and 5 respectively. And we know that each set has to have at least one villain. The confirmed Crossbones is one, and Baron Zemo is likely another. There will probably be a goon or henchman somewhere. We probably will be left with 8-9 slots for heroes based on those totals. Cap and Iron Man will fill up probably 2-3 of those spots. What heroes will we get in those final 5-6 slots? That's the biggest mystery to be uncovered with the CA:CW sets. If we get Falcon and Black Panther, anything else for me is icing on the cake. -

The only problem for me, which doesn't give me déjà vu, is that the Minifigure selection in the Avenjet isn't nearly as good as the one in Darkseid Invasion. It's almost like Lego regretted the decision to give us that much awesomeness in one set. Sure, Thanos can be the equivalent of Darkseid and Supes and Capt America can cancel each other out, but are Hyperion, Capt Marvel and another Iron Man anywhere near the score that the debuts of Hawkman, Cyborg and Green Arrow were? No... -

I'm just happy to not have to pay $30 for a Juniors set in which the only thing I want is the Green Goblin minifig (just so I can have one that's not a big fig). Leg printing is not a must for me. -
I will be buying two. More Weeping Angels, more Daleks, and more parts to MOC the interior of the TARDIS.

For them to have two minifigs and two racers sounds like a lot for $9.99. At that price, it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have legs. But it also makes me about 75% less likely to buy. -
I'm guessing the wait will be worth it. They'll sneak one in eventually that's kid-friendly but will also allow them to reel in all the AFOLs and fans of the Netflix series. He'll probably show up in a Spider-Man set.

God, I hope not! ;)

If your email ever gets read, they will probably just send you a stock reply about their policy not to reveal privileged information about an upcoming film release. Just being real with you! -
Yeah, not really sure that self-promotional post is on topic at all...

I don't know how it is in the rest of the world but here in the states, virtually all Doctor Who merch I see pertains to the modern series. Since LEGO targets kids, I think a Who CMF series probably wouldn't contain anything from the classic series unless it was the Doctors themselves. Kids want the new stuff; that's why a LEGO TMNT theme, for example, has only been based off the Nick series and recent movie and not off the superior classic cartoons or comics. If you show most kids a minifig of one of the earliest companions, they're just gonna go "What?" And the ideal CMF series will appeal to kids and AFOLs alike. One way to combat this is to release army builders that classic and modern Who fans alike would appreciate. For example, I think a Sontaran soldier would be perfect to occupy one of the 16 roster spots in a Who wave. People would even want multiples. I also think a Sarah Jane with a dual face -- one young, one old -- would be incredible.
-
I think about four waves of a CMF series would be the absolute perfect way to treat Doctor Who since basically we only need the Minifigures (and the TARDIS we're already getting) in order to recreate anything we want to do. But that's just a pipe dream...
-
a set with these would be amazing...because we'd get River Song too!
-
No matter what, you could always model your army after the one in the Dimensions set. It looks totally brick built and you can find those bricks in numerous colors easily. It looks like the top has printing on it, but that's the thing that appears to make it unique.
-
I actually meant to say David Tennant (10th Doctor) instead of the 11th! Brain fart! Or maybe I was counting the War Doctor? :) But Matt Smith would be my second choice. We also need Oods, Silurians, Sontarans, etc.

Well, there's no way that one LEGO Ideas sets and a few Dimensions packs will satisfy the whole Doctor Who/LEGO fan base, but it's better than nothing. And like the submitter of the Ideas set iterated, Doctor Who works with virtually every other LEGO theme in existence. So as long as you have a TARDIS, at least one Doctor (with sonic screwdriver), and a couple of the more difficult to MOC villains (like Cybermen & Weeping Angels), you're in business. All we can do to convince LEGO to make more is to deplete LEGO's supply of sets in record time. I, for one, will not rest until my collection includes the 11th Doctor, River Song, and Jack Harkness.

I'm not saying I like small playsets. I'm pulling for a substantial Marvel one is all...one that's not too small and one that looks "complete" when put together. Some playsets that didn't cost outrageous amounts yet were good were Helms Deep & Indominus Rex Breakout. Nothing like that coming first half of 2016 unfortunately.
