  1. I still might get the Green Goblin one, but there's no way to avoid getting the Juniors set version now because I need the full-size printed legs that he has. That was the major disappointment for me across the Marvel/DC Micros theme because all the other desirable ones like Bane didn't have printed legs to begin with and would be easy to replace cheaply.
  2. The old Bane doesn't have printed legs, so you can find full size black legs for pennies on the dollar. It will still be a better value than paying $10 on Bricklink getting only one Bane in return. I'm with you on the Green Goblin thing though. Juniors it is.
  3. Great vehicles x2 in a package for $10 with 2 minifigs? Sorry but they're not going to be "great." If they had made them one minifig and one vehicle like Star Wars got, you could have probably expected great. These are very much aimed at smaller kids and people who can't afford large sets. These sets are not aimed at AFOLs. I've missed out on the comics version of Bane, so I'm definitely buying one of those. There's no printing on his legs, so I can replace with a set of full-size plain black legs easily. To get a decent Bane on Bricklink is about $10 US.
  4. Was extremely popular. The show's ratings are down, people like Harry Shearer have decided to quit the show, and they can't even sell enough DVDs and Blu-rays to justify continuing to release the series on physical media. The Simpsons are on their way out.
  5. MCU-based Thanos would make zero sense in this set.
  6. Pretty sure red/yellow Hyperion from AA has already been confirmed by those who have seen prelim pics.
  7. My top want for a set would be Day of the Doctor.
  8. I hope not. As a licensed set, that looks like a set that would cost $99.99, mostly because of the plane build, which is just a common, non-specific plane. And no one is going to want to pay for that just to get the minifigs in the set.
  9. I see the point you are trying to make, but your numbers are off-base. AoU, counting the retailer exclusive, had SIX sets. Ant-Man was the 8th MCU-based set of the year because the massive Helicarrier was the first. We know of 3 sets for CA:CW with a likely 4th being a retailer exclusive. Doctor Strange would only be the 5th MCU set of the year. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if they decided to make it a little bigger to accommodate a 4th minifig. $29.99 USD still wouldn't be out of a lot of people's price range.
  10. I'd love any of those and I've loved everything they've included with their movies to this point (Clark Kent, Batzarro, Trickster are all awesome considering they didn't have to make new molds).
  11. Couldn't it just as easily be $29.99 set and include 4 minifigs? That's what I hope!
  12. A molded bow tie for Matt Smith's Doctor.
  13. Move it there!
  14. Thanks for the descriptions, Sir Gareth. Avenjet is definitely an eventual (or should I say "avenjual"?) purchase for me, but probably not until it's discounted, which will definitely happen because these won't fly off the shelves. Nice to see first-time Thanos, Carol and Hyperion, so SOLD! The sub sounds pretty lame, and I'll just Bricklink Iron Skull. Coca-Cola: we totally agree on Toys R Us being able to still lay claim to that Hulk polybag being an exclusive even if Hulk is exactly the same as the Racer because of not only the vehicle but the Quinjet sticker pack!
  15. Never caught any hints about the legs being short until just now, so I don't know how people were supposed to know that. But...considering the low cost of these sets and giving us two minifigs and two racers (compare that to what you get in the Star Wars sets), it makes sense that they would be short to allow the vehicle builds to be really small. Short legs doesn't affect my desire to own them...but it makes me a lot less excited for Green Goblin and more likely to consider the Juniors set or Bricklink to get him.
  16. I don't think the "Vet" minifig in that set really looked or dressed like that kid who fell in the pit. I just think with the generic figures, sometimes you just gotta grin and bear it and hope that Marvel continues as an evergreen theme so that you'll eventually get all the named superheroes and villains you really want. But it's scary to think about how many more characters they could do than even Star Wars, so it would take many years to get around to all of them. Sometimes the generic figs are cool though; the new SHIELD agent is a personal favorite.
  17. As hard as it is for me to believe that TLG would give us a THIRD minifig-sized Hulk, it makes a lot more sense than having an MCU Hulk appear in something totally unrelated to the MCU. I wouldn't think that Disney/Marvel would allow that type of brand confusion. As for the Ultron, I have no idea.
  18. My guess for a CA:CW retailer exclusive is that it would be the same price as the AoU Toys R Us exclusive. $49.99. So we could probably reasonably expect 4-5 minifigs, right? But one of those could very be a goon, henchman or soldier of some type, just the like the AoU and Jurassic World exclusives recently both had.
  19. Makes the most since to me since it's an MCU Hulk and that just wouldn't make sense for the Racers series (and Disney/Marvel might not even permit LEGO to use it in that way). At the same time, I hope the Racers Hulk is not the same as the classic polybag from a couple years ago. I would love a third variant of minifig Hulk and I paid good money for that polybag!
  20. small MCU Hulk!! I think it'll be a 2015 release though.I'm with everyone here that $49.99 would make for extremely weak builds for a CA:CW 3 set if they're trying to jam a Giant Man, control tower and jet all into one set. $69.99 sounds more likely but that's honestly a set I'd pay $100 for provided it was done right.
  21. So this will include the Batman series minifigs from before the Super Heroes theme? It claims to profile "over 200" DC minifigs even though the combined total of Super Heroes figs for Marvel and DC combined is only at 211 currently. But since this is still 7 months away, there's time to add the BvS figs and 66 BatCave ones, among others. My only wish for the exclusive is that's it's not a variant of Batman or Superman (unless it's something awesome like a George or Christopher Reeves Superman).
  22. It needs to have a very scary face (could be double-sided perhaps). That face in the background there just looks like a regular gray angel.
  23. I don't like how you can't see his eyes. You could always see Adam West Batman's eyes quite clearly; nothing hidden about them. Makes me worry that the face underneath will have some stupid white band.
