  1. I think Yondu's ship looks like far and away the best set. The design, colors and really nice minifigure selection sell me on that one. Plus, it's not going to cost a lot. Not excited about the smallest set that much build-wise but the minifigs make it an instant buy anyways. I have the old Milano and just built it this week, so I'm not thrilled that they scaled it down just so they could use the extra parts towards a poorly designed abelisk. I'll probably just buy the minifigures separately for that one. Overall not a bad wave; I just wish they would have devoted 5 sets toward it given how huge the last movie turned out to be.
  2. I'd be in at around $199, maybe a little more. I hope LEGO's attempts to drive up prices to ridiculous amounts eventually bites them hard. $270 is absurd for this.
  3. That's not the point of these sets at all. Seems to be definitely a CHEAP way for little children or people with less money to rack up minifigs they've missed and have some mini vehicles to play with.
  4. Disagree. I pretty much like or love everything Paul Feig has ever done, starting with Freaks & Geeks, which remains one of the greatest television shows ever made. Bridesmaids was an absolute riot and this year's Spy was a hit with fans and critics.
  5. I would love a Hill Valley courthouse with clock tower and Cafe 80s! We also need a Biff, Lorraine and George McFly in the worst way.
  6. This. I expect them to go all out and mold something special for him just like they did for Ant Man. They'll get a lot of mileage out of it since he will be CA:CW, his own movie, the Avengers: Infinity War films, and who knows what else.
  7. That's about $86 USD conversion, so I would expect the set here to be about $79.99 and perhaps a similar piece count to the AoU Quinjet set.
  8. It's almost like the descriptions are written based on someone from LEGO peaking in on this thread and seeing how much of a fuss we have made of the whole legs/no legs/short legs ordeal. Otherwise it wouldn't merit including in the description, right? However...it doesn't say short legs or normal legs, so the debate rages on.
  9. I think the build of the submarine and cage looks fine, but it just doesn't look like it's worth the asking price at all...and the only fig that is really a must-have is that Iron Man variant. I'll probably have to Bricklink Iron Skull too though.
  10. Either way, the set is going to be too cheap for me to pass up. Wouldn't even be worth it to just Bricklink Deadshot; poor value for the money that way.
  11. It's $13 - easy purchase. Several useful parts and two new staples of DCCU characters. I need that Bat Signal!
  12. Wow, that's one way to lure a bunch of AFOLs into buying a Juniors set! I definitely don't have that variant because I missed that set. TLG probably thought it was nonsense to have that variant being sold for $30 on Bricklink.
  13. Didn't think I would be in for the Juniors set, but I'm sold. I need another Loki for "backup" - what's the Mk 7 armor? What set was it in before and was it hard to get?
  14. I agree; they failed on Clara's hair. The identifying feature is her outfit. Other than that, she just looks common.
  15. Yep, definitely don't see them making a new helmet. For one, it isn't incredibly different from the Ant-Man movie one. Secondly, if they specially mold a helmet for a recurring character, they're gonna get more mileage out of it than just one cheap set. Third, as you mention, we know of him showing up in two new forms already, and I don't even remember confirmation of him showing up as a regular minifig in any of these CA:CW sets.
  16. It wouldn't even work as an accessory; it's just a ridiculous idea.
  17. Now is the time for them to mold new (good) wings out of ABS plastic. These would be able to be used for so many things: Weeping Angels, MCU Falcon, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, good excuse for a Bird Man in a future CMF series, etc.
  18. ^ yeah, the sign at the top being split into two stickers is a huge bummer because it could have looked so much better as one. Not a fan of the gap in the lettering there. The studs underneath the sign on each side are totally fine though. Let's remember that it's LEGO and not a 100% accurate replica - the studs are a part of LEGO's charm and playability.
  19. As long as it doesn't compromise the number of regular DC SH sets, it doesn't bother me at all. But let's face it: it very well could compromise it.
  20. Not hard to figure out the leg difference between mighty micros and micro-fighters: MM is giving two vehicle builds and two minifigs for the same price you pay for 1 and 1 of MF. So you sacrifice the long legs.
  21. If we only ever got 16, I'd want classic animated. 1. Peter Pan (w/Tinkerbell) 2. Captain Hook 3. Cruella DeVille (w/a Dalmatian) 4. Pinocchio (w/Jiminy Cricket) 5. Dumbo [make him like a bigger Max Rebo] 6. Aladdin 7. Genie 8. Belle (w/Lumiere) 9. Beast 10. Cinderella (w/Gus Gus) 11. Ariel (w/Sebastian) 12. Maleficent 13. Ursula 14. Jafar 15. Snow White 16. Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey
  22. I think that's fine, really, because the look of the Daleks has changed with all of the different iterations of them that have appeared during the show's tenure. I can't wait to build red and blue ones using the same schematic.
  23. Will he have purple spandex or be green/naked? The suspense is killing me! Anyone else think it's highly unusual that both Hulk and Green Goblin will now have the distinction of having been represented as regular minifigs, bigfigs, and short-legged minifigs?
  24. It looks a lot better than the Dimensions one. Do any of the pieces have printing?
  25. The actual sets sound strangely amazing. Will be worth to pick up when they inevitably get discounted to $7-8.
