I felt like building and big island for pirates and felt inspired by the skull island picorial view, which I'm sure most of you can see. I'm still working on it, and as you see there are two different photosets. One from yesterday and the one from today. So even now you can see the progress. So these are all from yesterday, and here comes some with the improvements I've build today So tell me what you think so far, and if you got ideas for improvements you are very welcome to post them Here's the folder

IT's very nice.. I like it alot! You can really tell that there's something going on in the city. It's very living. Excellent moc.

Very nice chess set. I'd like one of those. I especially like the rooks on both sides. The black pawns is some very nice soldiers as well. Good work

Originally it's in danish kroner (kr.), but I thougt that was a poor help for you. so i converted the original amount to US $, since i thought that was the currency that most people could relate to. It's more like what I can use it for, than how much I might be able to sell it for.. but of course it raises the price when there's such tuck in it Aye.. thats right (I've also just noted it).. but I think it's more for than for actual ships Thank you very much for your opinion Captain PB.. and then tell me: what are all you australians doing down there since Lego is so expensive??

I'm not sure.. Maybe if I'm lucky I can cut off $10 of the price. But not sure..

I've seen some of these pics long time ago.. This could be me, but it seems like the bricks on the ship isn't Lego. They look more like Mega Bloks to me. Take a look at this picture Aren't the yellow bricks to light? They don't seem to have the same quality as TLC. Again.. this is what I think, but I'm not an expert, and it could the light that gives the pale colour.

There's a fixed price. About $135 I think. So as I told you, I would like to know if it's a far fetched price or if normal compare to eBay auctions of the same size. Or at least some that are a bit alike

I think I saw others who had their flags flying forwards, and I wondered why that might be, and then I found out, that since the winde comes from behind the ships so it can blow wind to the sails the flags must follow the wind. But as Asuka pointed put: of course their not straight forward. So actually they should be in the semi-forward direction, as you suggested So long thing short: i found that it was more logical if i made my flags go forward.

Thrid option: the way the wind blows. Although I've lat the falgs go backwards on my first MOC's.. But not any more.

Seems like the Australian LegoAuctions goes for a high price. Not sure the danish ones is quite that expensive.

As the title says I need help to determine the value of an auction I've found. As far as I can see there's the remainings of the Carribbean Clipper in it at this picture. Though the sails looks like they've had better times. To me this looks like some of the Forbidden Island. Maybe also the Shipwrecked Pirates since the smal baseplate with is there? Gathered it looks something like this All in all there should be 4,5 kg's of mixed bricks, but of course there's no instructions and originals boxes. I ask you, becuase I'm not sure what this could be worth. I would like it, but I will not pay overprice. So if you tell me it's a fabulous offer I'm gonna buy it. What would you, LEGO experts, think it's worth? And if you can tell me what sets else there's in it, it would be great.

Oh my.. thats a nice bunch of bricks.. I'd like those.. but I'm not sure I will be able to pay for it (and all the shipping costs) if the bids continues as they've done so far. What is the average price of 1 kilo of mixed bricks on ebay?

Sorry I "took" your post yesterday. But I saw it on BS and didn't see who had made it - I was too engaged with the magnificent building of yours and just felt lucky to stumble across such a pearl before anyone else so I could share my find. Anyways, as I already wrote in my topic it's awesome. Very very nice. Especially i like all the foliage and the rock sculpture. You've definitely got a big chance of winning the competition with such a beauty.

Found this on brickshelf, and thought it would look awesome (ehm.. even more awesome) if there were some islanders arround. I know it's meant for Indiana Jones, but I think it would do quite well with islanders (and maybe some pirate as well ) The folder How do you like it?

I voted for toucans.. like Playmobil. They have some (though I'm not sure it's for the piratetheme). But I'd like some exotic birds.

There's so many good entries.. difficult to choose between! But in the end it was the jamtf for the impulse, slyowl in the small and jaudeau in the big entry. But as i said.. difficult decision!

Now I've made an entry as well.. it's an impulse set but I think i will come up with a large and a small entry as well.. when i figure out what they will be. Good contest. And many very fine and creative entries.
