I see what you all mean. And i think my next ship will only have 1 or 2 decks. I just wanted to try to build a 3 decker. Now i've tried it, and i've found out that it will be better if I build a ship with 3 decks, when i got a lot more bricks. So now i only need the inspiration for my next ship.. come on and give it to me :-$

WOW! That is one hell of a MOC. Really nice! Well chosen colors (and where they are placed) and nice features like the gate and custom made cannons. Great work!

I am aware that the ship is tall. A bit to much as some say. My intention with this ship was to build a ship with 3 decks, which i did. My problem is that, as i''ve told before, i haven't got enough bricks.. well not as many as i would like to have :-$ I couldn't have made this ship longer, so the proportions of the ship would fit better together. Havent got enough bricks for that :'-( (poor me) When i was finished building it i also saw what you saw - that the lowest cannons would be under the waterline (not good for a ship). But i didn't knew how to get them higher, and still have 3 decks and not get even taller in the same time. So i just took the pics so that you could see it.

Nice colorscheme - especially with the sails. I also like the cabin-part. But it is a very very lonely crew. If you put just 5 more men on the deck i think the ship would look a lot better!.. really.. it looks kinda dead atm.

Thanks very much.. What exactly do you mean by "custom minifigs"? I haven't made my own bodies like Pirate Maniac have done. But i've mixed the existing bodies a bit. Otherwise i would have a ship with 4 or 5 different men. I will submit a photo of the hookguy (it's the one at the stairs right?) as soon as possible.

Aye. Made them in paper because it isn't my intention to let this ship live forever. Didn't want to make a lot of work out of the sails when i'm going to build a new whip where they will not fit in.

25b I've build this ship, and I'd like some feedback. Actually it was finished already in the beginning of march ehm.. but guess i'm quite lazy some times :-$ The Folder I'm sorry some of the pictures are a but dizzy, but it seems that my cam isn't that good |-/ I've tried to do some of the things that i've been told earlier. Like putting some real sails on the ship (big problem on the first ship of mine), and i've tried to build it so it could be categorized. Think i made a brig :-$

Hey come on.. they are pirates aren't they? Then they wanna attack everything and everyone the can get close to :-$ I aggre with simonwillems that the yellow brigs looks strange because they are so high above waterline.

Found this pic a brickshelf. Unfortunatelly this is the only one :-/ The thing I like best about it is the cannons. What do you think of it??

25d Found this at brickshelf. Even though it's a bit poor i actually kind a like it. It's simpel, and ofcourse it's not so impressive as the Arbiter II for instance, but i think it has got the features for a small boat. But i must admit that it would have been a lot nicer if the builder had made he's own cannons. some smaller one's. 'Caus i think those onboard is too big for the ship. It's a very fine ship i must say. It still is. Especially i like that load of guns there's onboard But i dont get the point of this sail: To me it looks wierd.

Thats a very nice ship i think. I really like it. But i miss some pictures from under deck and the cabin. That would be nice (thats a hint for you to go fetch me some more pics ;-) )

Mini 1a I found this little ship at BS and thought that you might wanna see it. The folder: HMS Surprise I think it is a very good job. Very good looking for such a small ship. *sweet*

I'm very sorry for the misspelling but i have corrected it most places now i think. Ofcourse it's Plague and not plauge..:-$ I from Denmark, so english is not my native language and thats why i make misspellings some times.. and some of my sentences are maybe a bit strange too.

Very very good idea. I would like that too. And with thumbnails as you propose. It would make it muhc more easy to get a quick overview, and it would also make it easier (also in this thread) with thumbnails, so you could see the different ships without opening a new window.

Uhh.. that is very nice article. Indeed. I didn' t knew all that much about different boats and sails. Actually i didn't knew anything at all. Thats maybe why it's difficult to say what The Red Plague is. So far i have just build a ship and put some sails on it. Taken things as they came. So on the next ship i will try to put sails on it so it fits with one of the examples from the article. I see that you are all experts in different shiptypes and sails. Impressive
