black falcon army by nausicaakro
Minifig Lecturer replied to nausicaakro's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great army you have! You buy most of these on Ebay? The 'Black Falcon' soldiers were my personal favourite. Their crest and shields are the best. Were they also marketed as Draco? -
Minifig Fighter Plane (MiG 1)
Minifig Lecturer replied to Minifig Lecturer's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the feedback Daoud. Yes you are right, the helicopter is probably a bit squarish. I tried a few times to smooth it out but it didn't look good. There is not much variety of pieces on Lego Digital Designer so not everything is possible. With regards to the plane, I called it MiG after both the Soviet plane manufacturer and "MinifiG". It's not designed on any real plane, the 1 is the first model I've made :) *wacko* -
Just wondering if anyone here knows that set or sets the Lego 2x2 newspaper came with? It is like a 2x2 Map but has "News" or something written on it. I think it came after 2000. Not sure however. Don't think it is a sticker. I cannot find a picture on the web of the piece I refer to but if I do I will post it here if people do not know what I'm on about! *wacko*

Yes, I agree. More villagers would be the best thing. I wish S@H Bricks And Accessories had a large variety of minifig parts so people could custom design their own minifigs and order many. At present there are only 3 or 4 ugly torsos one can pick. This would also IMO be a great money spinner for TLC as there are many people who want to order large numbers of particular figs, to make armies etc. I think Eurobricks or some other major Lego fan base site should start a campaign to bring to TLC's attention that their is a huge untapped demand for minifigs

Minifig Fighter Plane (MiG 1)
Minifig Lecturer replied to Minifig Lecturer's topic in Special LEGO Themes
A follow-up creation to the above is the following Military Helicopter. -
The positives for me are that there are lots of small 1 sets with 1 minifig each. The negatives is that they appear to have reduced the largest box of basic building blocks to 600 pieces, down from 1000, and Bionicle still exists. *wacko*

Ah okay. Thanks for the update! *wacko*

Yes, that is a good page which means that the MOCs listed here should all be removed, This should be, as its called, a Town/City index, so needs to be updated alot to be what it says. Same or similar style as the Town MOCs index that Hinckley has done would be nice, with the pics and all. *wacko*

Who is looking after the revamp of this page as it has being under heavy construction for months now with no major changes I can see. Correct me if I'm wrong? Lots of new towns have come along however in the last few months, like Tabletown, and these should be added. Also a small pic of each town could be included with the links. If help is required I'm available. *wacko*

Interesting layout. What are you using for the supporting beams and bridge? It seems to be very compact however by which I mean there seems to be a huge number of tracks going very close to each other thereby maybe questioning the need for them. Your railway operator isn't worried about losing money on these lines I take it :) Is the layout designed solely for a Trains display or for a town? I assume most likely for a Train only display because of the concentration of track. Would be nice to see town and road baseplates build around it. *wacko*

My latest creation from LDD. Still in draft form but I am fairly happy with the result. Designed with the limited bricks and colours on LDD I had to make many changes to what my brain wanted to do. Currently lacking wheels as LDD has no suitable ones for aircraft, improvements can be made. My core aim is to produce military MOCs at fairly reasonable prices so that multiples of them can be purchased. As EB is a great place for suggestions and comments, I would love if people can leave any suggestions. In particular if people who use LDD have any solution to my "wheels problem", any advice would be really appreciated. *wacko*

Great scenes! Those trees are fantastic. I like the way you've made many rare MOCs like the church, the bus, and the lawnmower! Funny pic with the lawnmower. Hope you do expand it some more. You need a new table. :)

I love your buildings, always full of detail and realism. Only hope you get more road baseplates to show the buildings in their best light and give justice to them :)

The 10 reasons you know you are a true lego fan
Minifig Lecturer replied to Zarkan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'll tell you something. Some nights I dream I am in a shop which still has hundreds of sets from the 1980s. And I am trying to buy them all asap !!! Its great until I wake up. :'-( -
Yes it is plain I know however gray is my favourite colour for stadia. I will add some white lines for where people should walk later... Here's one I made with some colour I'm not into VIPs but lights and an entrance for players is a good idea! Yes the club is the Celebs, I might try their crest but its difficult.. Alternatively I could do yellow and white tricolour flag at one end
-
I think they had one once and decided to pull it. Would have been good though.
-
Yes thats one of the details i will likely add, plus some stairways up to the terraces. Also completing the corners needs to be done I guess :-)

This is a basic stadium design I made using LEGO Factory. It is poor as regards detail as (1) it is a rushed job, (2) I have made it to minimize cost and maximise bricks, (3) the idea is to get an estimate price for a lot of bricks and (4) this is also a first draft. The cost for the below digital MOC is €532 before post. Pretty expensive. I will fix it up and add details, and see what the price amounts to then. I guess somewhere in the region of €700. More pictures of initial digital design Update: Using a large amount of primarily grey bricks I have bought, I have started work on the new stadium. It will be alot more detailed that the digital design below with numerous entrances/exits, toilets, pubs, turnstiles, changing rooms and a media centre being built. The arena will not be finished for the kick-off of the XVII Legoland SuperLeague which has not please my minifigs one bit. More pictures of stadium being built

Classic Lego Town Car for under 6 euro
Minifig Lecturer replied to Minifig Lecturer's topic in LEGO Town
The reason why there's no inbuilt Air Conditioning system is that there are no side-windows in the car.. -
What do you think it will make? I'd consider parting with 400euro for it. The shipping costs seem extraordinary high. Im sure its not 235$ to post. But lets remember the price of the dollar is very low these days. Maybe next year

Outside Dublin! Tut tut... *sad* There are some people from Ireland on Eurobricks, and a few have tried to set up some sort of Irish LUG - dont believe it came to anything yet, you could as Nathan as I believe he was trying most to set it up. Either way, people should have a get together sometime, for some drinks or something.. The only 2 shops in Dublin I know are Smyths and Toymaster, its sad indeed. I just got my first order from www.lego.com (bricks and pieces).. I dont know what World of Wonder and Art & Hobby are located?
