Got it *y* Seems like that'd work pretty well for the HP's My brother and I are trying to develop our own pirate wars game, it'd be nice if our rules and yours mesh together a little maybe. We haven't even started on troop attributes, rules, or anything, but maybe we could use some of yours? X-D we've been mainly working on realistic tactics and strategies of ship to ship and ship to fort combat. And the different types of cannons and their attributes used on ships. Hey you have any rules developed for troops attacking a fort yet? P

Cause there's a small pattern of two cannons crossed on a lot of the american cannons. I don't know why Lego would have different cannons sent to the U.S. cause i have hardly any shooters and they're my favorite. *y* Um, err, cannon on? :-$ Don't know steve |-/ That vote was done within the first hour and half of my posting of the review. Wish that individual would have posted why he gave it a 3. I figured it was a good time to have a review of the BSB. There have been a few Black Seas Barracuda inspired MOCs here on Eurobricks in the last couple of months. For instance: Admiral Wig's Escort Frigate, Bonaparte's HMS Hotspur, and dukeschunke's HMS Expedition. P

I think furniture sets would be awesome *y*. Then i could by the sets rather than BL the parts. Some wooden furniture like this would be really kool. If you look at some of the folders that the furniture is in, there are a lot more models than the ones shown on the Accessory Index. P

Mr. Fordo, I'm curious as to how you derived the ranges and troop movements for each type of soldier? Also, not sure if already asked :-/ , how are you going to keep track of each individual soldier? Are you thinking of using a bunch of tally sheets on a sheet of paper or are you going to use a computer or palm? Thanx, P

I had gotten a tub of bricks from a friend of mine, which included a partial CC and BSB X-D , and it came with the crippled black pull cannons and they have exactly the same design as the shooters and look like they should be able to shoot, they just don't 8-| It'd be pretty cool if some knew how to turn them into shooters. *y* In that tub, i also got some shooters. I had been wondering when on earth lego made the shooters and black disabled in the US cause i considered it very unlikely that this tub had non-american components. So it would then appear that the shooters that i have from this tub come from the first release of pirate sets sent to the US. thanx imperial shadows. P

In my experience, PaB has a lot fewer choices on bricks, but they're all new ;-) The prices are generally comparable to each other. Although shipping is more expensive through PaB. I just get enough bricks @ PaB to max out how much i can order for the same price in shipping when ordering a set or two from Lego. There's a thread that talks about BL and PaB called Building from Bricklink. P

What's a bowler look like? I don't think i've heard of a bowler before. Is that a European word? P

I don't mind the nose. Seems like the other heads that aren't the official head also have noses. Jar Jar, Chewie, Ewoks, C3P0, and Greedo i think also have noses :-) Although i could be wrong on some of those (not at home to look at them right now ;-) ) I agree with 4J, this is a good quality head *y* P

I'm getting to like the idea of mixing bley with gray to get more of a brick look on the structure. Although personally i probably wouldn't mix light bley with gray cause i have a real hard time telling them apart most of the time. Although more windows (or slits) on the walls would break up the big gray wall feel. P

I know my wife would look forward to the idea of more modular town sets like the cafe Corner. It's the first major lego set my wife wants to purchase for herself. Hopefully this summer i'll be able to purchase it for her. *y* With her wanting this set, i've been thinking lately of how to make a modular MOC or two to go next to the CC for a whole side of a city block. I've realized i could make a couple of structures real easily with out dismantling any of my piratey MOCs *y* . If TLC does release more sets like the CC, my wife would surely like to purchase that set to add to her CC. P

I think you are right about how the catheads were used. Although i don't have confirmation of that piece of info. In my bow of the DDW i've got it designed for the cathead to only pull the anchor out of the water after the capstan has raised the anchor the rest of the way and keep the anchor from rattling against the bow. P

I had gotten the cannon information from this thread called what sets came with what pieces. Sounds like we were close to what when what canons were actually available in the US. I'll try to tweak that part soon. Also you may want to take a look at thread to see about the solid studded heads too. You seemed more informed than most of us on such things. Thanx.
