LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

One of those two $29.99 sets surely has to be a new Snowspeeder. Can't imagine them not releasing one with the emphasis on Hoth lately. -
Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Hopefully its the Stark/Avengers Tower. The previous sets were fine for what they were, but the Daily Bugle has really raised my standards that a D2C version is the only way to truly do it justice. Plus the timing couldn't be better with the anniversary of both the Marvel Superheroes line and the first Avengers film. I'd love an X-Mansion but it makes more sense to hold off on that one until X-Men 97 hits Disney Plus. -

Definitely hoping there's some AOTC sets among that list. Zam's Speeder Chase and Jango's Slave I are both long overdue for a remake and I wouldn't turn down a new AT-TE, Gunship or Jedi Starfighter either. As for the MBS - the Geonosis Arena, Yavin IV Base or Jabba's Sail Barge would be my preferences. Worst possible outcome would be an Assault on Hoth remake to tie in with the recent run of Hoth themed sets. -

The redesigned Hoth Rebels look great! The new leg printing really makes a huge difference compared to the 2019 figure. Really like those new printed slopes and tiles in the Clone Trooper pack. Hopefully we see more AOTC themed sets throughout the year. -

Great to hear new figures of Rex and Cody are on the way. Phase II armor would have been nice but I have no doubt we'll see those versions show up in future sets eventually. The previous Phase I figures however are too stylized and pretty outdated so I'll gladly take modern updates of them both. -

Glad we're getting something from AOTC next year and another Clone Trooper battle pack is overdue, but I still stand by that releasing them in the form of a Lego store exclusive accessory pack is a mistake. Distribution is going to be much more limited compared to the traditional retail wide battlepacks and they're going to be hoarded by scalpers faster than the 501st set was. -

The Hoth Battlepack looks great. Its nice we're getting regular blasters again instead of stud shooters and none of the parts feel wasted on useless builds. I also like that they've taken the Speeder Bike design from 75288 and really perfected upon it. Its easily the best design yet and really hope to see an Endor version in the near future. Shame the price is a bit high for the set. The AT-ST looks fine. I appreciate that they've attempted to base it on the original ESB design but it doesn't look all that different from the last few they've released which have all felt larger than they needed to be. The snow covered Chewbacca is a great inclusion though and the Probe Droid build is easily the best one yet. -
With the announcement of X-Men 97 coming to Disney Plus I really hope we get a number of sets to tie in with the show. Just a few ideas they could go with: Weapon X Facility Small build of the lab with a Weapon X version of Wolverine as well as another villain like Sabretooth or Omega Red. Mini-Jet May or may not show up in X-Men 97 but the mini-jet is the small blue and yellow fighter seen frequently in the original animated series such as the Days of Future Past episodes. Sentinel Similar build to the new 76206 Iron Man Figure that was just unveiled but with a head more along the lines of Ant-Man/Ares. The Blackbird Larger and more detailed version of the set that came out in 2014. The interior should have enough room to seat all eight members of the team. X-Mansion Don't think this one necessarily needs to be a fully enclosed modular. Something similar to the open-back dollhouse approach that Arkham Asylum and Joker Manor took would be fine. Exterior would be based off the facade seen in the cartoon while the interior would contain the subbasement locations such as the War Room, Danger Room, Beast's Lab and Infirmary. As far as the minifigures go the main ones I'd like to see covered first are: All eight members of the core team (Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey, Beast, Rogue, Gambit and Jubilee) along with the Professor The primary villains of the show (Magneto, Mystique, Sabretooth, Juggernaut, Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister) Any notable guest stars that appear such as Nightcrawler, Iceman, Colossus, Archangel etc.

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Aside from the head that buildable Iron Man would be the perfect basis for a Sentinel. The build is a good height, looks well proportioned and doesn't appear as flimsy compared to Arishem. Hopefully they can come out with something similar for when X-Men 97 debuts. Good to be getting another MCU Black Panther figure without the kinetic highlights. Feels like its been a while since we last had one. The extra T'Challa head being included is also a nice bonus. The Wolverine figure looks good for the most part, just a little plain without any details on the legs. Whether its printing or dual molding, it just needed something to break up all the yellow. But I'm just glad to see another X-Men set and hope its the first of many more to come. The Iron Man figure is definitely the weakest. Torso and leg printing is well done but I'm just not a fan of the helmet they use for the non-MCU figures. -
I disagree. Kenobi is supposed to be a one-off event series, not a multi-season one like The Mandalorian. It makes more sense to release any tie-in sets while the hype is strong because the show won't have any relevancy past that point, especially with the focus immediately shifting to Mando S3, Andor and Ahsoka. I think Andor will stick with the pattern of one set for the show's debut and see how it sells. I believe that one is intended to run more than one season so there's a bit more flexibility with its release window for merchandise. Plus going into some pretty big ANDOR SPOILERS here:

Glad the X-Men animated series is getting a revival. I too hope we see some sets based on it. Would love to get the whole team in their 90's outfits along with more villains. -

Disappointed the next D2C won't be another modular building. -

I know. I just said that. But there's only so many sets that Lego can release at a time and you've got 5 different Disney Plus shows competing for a spot in the summer wave. One of those shows might have to take a backseat to make room for the others. -

I can definitely see Omega coming in one of the accessory packs if the Bad Batch ends up being a one-and-done theme like Resistance was. The show might be popular enough to get a second season next year but it also has to compete against Boba Fett, Andor, Kenobi and The Mandalorian which are all likely to be higher priorities in regards to merchandise. -

Yeah they're the same costumes. I agree we definitely need an Animated Series Cyclops! I wasn't a big fan of the version we got in the 2014 set. -

As much as I like the Fox X-Men movies, I can't say I'd be interested in getting any sets based on them. The character designs are just too boring and unimaginative. I'd rather they stick with the comics until the MCU versions come out, especially if the X-Men are based on the 90's Jim Lee costume designs. A return to the Raimi Spider-Man sets would definitely be welcome though. -

I prefer they go with the blue and yellow look either as an update of 2012's Astonishing outfit with the proper mask or a more serious take on the Tiger Stripe outfit from the Mighty Micros set. Whatever they go with I'm just glad to see another X-Men set coming out. Hopefully it does well enough to warrant more. -

The Dark Trooper set sounds great. Its nice to be able to acquire a number of them for an affordable price rather than having a single figure locked behind a massive paywall. -

If true its nice to be getting something from the prequel era next year although a little disappointed its more of an EU set and not based on the films themselves (especially AOTC). -

Definitely agree a CMF series isn't the place for army building. Unfortunately blister packs aren't an ideal distribution method either due to them being Lego store exclusives. Either you wind up with another 501st Battle Pack situation where they're constantly sold out (usually by scalpers looking to resell them at triple the price) or Lego limits how many copies people can buy which defeats the purpose of army building. Regular battle packs available at all retailers is really the only method for army building that's fair on everybody. -

To be honest I'm not expecting to see much more from the Bad Batch. There's only so many sets they can release and I imagine the focus next year will primarily be on Boba Fett, Andor and Kenobi. -
That's a lot of sets for Dominion. Can we expect each one to include more Owen and Claire figures to add to our clone armies?
