An excellent piece for sure!! A most unique format as well - not really a bust, not a full figure...I can't say I've seen anything quite like this. And the scale! This is a giant model. The armor detail is fantastic and - as always - your photography is exemplary. Thanks for posting this - LOVE IT! (And yes, RO is right in line with my personal SW 'head canon' linking Andor and the OT)

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
lowlead replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
...I cannot disagree, with Andor being an exception. Case in point, I caught the Solo movie while channel surfing on archaic network television last night (parent's house for the New Year). I found myself watching it to the end and actually enjoying the experience. Apparently I have softened a bit on my opinion of this film...didn't see that coming. I think Ehrenreich and Glover were pretty well cast for their roles. I liked Chewie's performance and Woody Harrelson shockingly fit into the SW universe better than I remember. Underrated film in retrospect? I'm kinda leaning that way. ...also the 75219 AT-Hauler and the two landspeeders were pretty cool sets from solid action sequences. -
Fantastic! @MKJoshA, thank you for posting this on the front page - I might have missed it otherwise. Clearly inspired by the Starship Yamato, yes? I especially like how the vessel is bristling with antennae and sensor arrays - it certainly adds to the 'realism.' Another feature that impresses me is the level of micro-scale detail you have achieved with the hangar bays, small fighters / support craft and decks open to space. Everything from the color scheme, engine detail and greeblies are top-notch. Great use of those old style Technic bushings with teeth! (environmental handling?) Mostly studless, but not entirely - perfect mix. Any plans for instructions, or?

The Hutt Clan's annual X Champions Race! [2 MOCs]
lowlead replied to Evilkirk's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A great mash-up for sure! I'm the opposite with regard to Speed Champions. My fist purchase will be the DeLorian, and could be my last unless they do more stuff like the BTTF. Either way, the studless detail on these are fantastic - super clean. I'm not sure which one I like more...prob the color scheme and detail on the Dark X, especially on the hood and behind the cockpit. These would fit right in ripping around the equator of Coruscant. Helga & R-Toobad are awesome! -
"Oh...it's...beautiful!" EK, I cannot repeat it enough - you have achieved greatness here...right down to the ultra Luxe display stand! You are among an elite handful of MOC designers who presented a creation that immediately inspired me to begin gathering parts. In other news, I changed my mind about the interior - I went for the fleet model with aft weapons locker. Due to a small error in a Bricklink order I'm missing a DBG 1x3x3 door so the 'refresher' currently has no privacy But the transparent yellow round tile made me laugh! I'll make a point to post more photos as I go - your design deserves all the press it can get.

[RPG] The Canto Bight Classic - A SW Factions Tournament

As much as I dislike this movie I must say you have captured the lighting aesthetic from the casino sequence perfectly. Great floor treatment as well. -

I like the executive interior so I'm leaning towards the Emperor's version - with the fancy stand, of course - but I also like small bits of color variation on the stabilizers. I might ignore the official versions and do a hybrid of the two just cuz I prefer the look. Surely the Emperor had a spare shuttle or two on hand. My completion goal is earlier than Spring but work always impedes. I will double my efforts!

DOIN' IT!! Instructions purchased, first parts order already completed...now to sift through piles of inventory to see what I have and what I need. My 10212 will also be torn apart soon. This will take a while...my guess is early Spring for completion. Building is the easy part - it's the planning, printing, sorting and sourcing that takes all the time. I can't even imagine all the hours you invested to DESIGN the damn thing! Forever grateful. "Bring my shuttle..."

Great design for sure! I really like the overall look, and yes, it fits in very well with the general SW aesthetic in my opinion. It seems logical that this vessel would be among different designs - like the sail barge - to take advantage of strong planetary winds in remote regions of the galaxy where energy sources are more scarce than core worlds. I particularly like how the foils retract - presumably for storage in a big hangar. I would consider building this myself if instructions were ever created for purchase. Fantastic work, thanks for posting!
