Thee Pirate

I'll keep the details to myself but I really like this... I can definitely see it getting modded as a post apocalyptic vehicle... either flying or as a ground one. There are some really creative things on it, like the headlights for example. I really like that set up.

Aw, come on, that baseplate isn't that baa.... wait a sec. Yeah it is. The only set that base plate has been used in that I actually like is the IJ set it appeared in. In conclusion, a newer, better more modern hospital is needed very badly.

What in the world? There's some sweet new pieces in this set. As I don't yet have a Fire Station to keep my Legopolis fire free, I might have to make this set my first one. Those new pieces are niiiiiiiice too. Is that window on the main building the 6X5 wall piece? If it is, that looks slick. If not, it's a piece that's new to me, and I want it at PAB in Orlando when I go to Disneyworld with my wife for her birthday.

Alright, sooooo.... do you think I should tell my wife I'm buying this when finances are so tight? Trick question, it would be a bad idea to tell her about this.

I just wanna throw this out there... I prefer to read AND listen at the same time. Also, I can mirror the audio on my site if bandwidth is an issue... or even just switch it over to my site if it's a hassle with whereever it's being hosted.

On the pink Caddy, I have one word. Speechless. Okay, now for a little explaining on that. An old Cadillac is the only car I could ever drive if it's painted pink, and the '59? That's an iconic automobile if there ever was one. It the pinnacle of the winged era. I remember around 6 years ago at the Route 66 Rendezvous in San Bernardino, CA, an unrestored, and pretty rusty black '59 Series 62 convertible sold for $25K. I've always wanted one since I was a little kid, but with prices like that, I'll probably have to settle for a 52-56 Series 62 Coupe.

Best - Pirates II and SPIII Worst - 852688: LEGO Gold Minifigure Key Chain - It wasa good idea, but come on! Lego could've at least given it chrome gold hands as well. 8967-1 Gold Tooth's getaway - I thought that head would rock on a pirate minifig. Turns out it doesn't. As an added negative the motorcycles look ridiculous. Also, in light of recent news, Brickbeards Bounty no longer holds a special place in my heart. It is undoubtedly the worst designed ship the Pirates line has ever had, but until news of the new Imperial Flagship came out, I was willing to look past that because it was the first Lego Pirate ship in about 300 years.

If this is ever released in the US, I'm gonna snatch up a few of them. Those new heads rock!

Those are two excellent MOCs. That's probably the best looking Model A I've ever seen... Other than my 4 wides but those were built as fenderless hot rods. I have a number of engine designs you're more than welcome to use, but you'll have to wait til I'm done moving

A redesign/re-release of the Sand Crawler (which I am proud to own an original of) - this one would have a new rubberized tread developed for it, and it would include an XL Motor for forward/reverse movement and a new, smaller PF motor for steering. (that motor would end up becoming available separately in the PF theme and would have comparable stats to the old red 9v motor) Star Wars chess set Underwater Gungan sets.

Dang. Now how the heck am I supposed to stick them underneath a shako? Ah well, at least this theme still looks great. I'll still probably get them after Pirates is discontinued. I don't mind double sided heads, but I definitely prefer single sided ones. Double sided heads have forced me to be a little more creative with the Pirates line though. I have to wait until next week to post pics though, all my Lego is in storage at the moment.

These sets really aren't as bad as you guys make them sound, take a step back and consider the target audience.. I could even have a child in that age group if I had started young and can bet your megablocks I'd buy my son a set or from this line just so he doesn't play with my lego.. At least not til he's a little older anyway :-p. I'm tempted to get at least one of these anyway, just to prove it can be integrated into a normal looking moc.

I believe multiple copies of this new house are in order. I really like that roof

I actually think that mecha rocks. I bought the two green bionicle sets to work on a pm mecha but my lego habit is, unfortunately, on hold for the time being.

Here's to hoping those sweet new minifig heads aren't double sided. Otherwise this theme looks great.

Is this the first time we've seen that Space torso? If it is, that's a nice throwback. I also don't see anything wrong with a caroling pilot.

What I don't get is everyone saying Lego should've included more cannon. After all, SES had 8 cannon ports but only 4 cannon... and while the SES and BSB were the same length, the BSB was limited to 2 cannons per side. This new ship is only 8 studs longer than those two, but since it also has 4 cannons per side, I'd say it'd be a fair match for these two to battle it out. Also, what's with them reusing an old set name? I already have an Imperial Flagship.

Doth mine eyes deceive me? I love it! I suppose I won't be buying a third or 4th BB after all. I'm gonna have to buy two or three of this set.. probably 3. Also, I have to get a second job

If anyone else gets tired of typing out audio, I volunteer my efforts.

I'm always afraid something like this will happen, so I have to keep the door to my Lego room shut. With three dogs running around the house, that's really the only way to keep it from happening to me.

Let's get a poll added to this. I always wanted this set when I was a kid, but it was either this or a ship from the Pirate line. I ended up choosing Pirates If I had gotten the Mediator, I'd probably have a different username today

Hmmmm, actually.... props on your choice of figs. Mixing the the new and the old is friggin genius in this instance of the new soldier hunting down the old Captain. I really dig that, and unless the majority says to change it, I'd leave that as is.
