  1. Old ones are much more solid as a whole mast than new ones, which to me, are kind of fragile.. dunno if anyone else has had this same problem
  2. Ultimate Prite ship? guess it is Ultimate Pirate ship?.. or did I understood something wrong? :O
  3. SO nice to see a LDD project come to life!, I'm wanting to follow this same path, with my Queen Anne's Revenge, but now I'm still in reengineering process of a more elegant and detailed LDD design than the former.. I like the colours, the size and proportions are nicely designed, sails and details are original and numerous..overall, a fine ship that I'm sure every other sailing ship around would think twice to mess with :P Awesome job! I raise my bottle of rum in her honour!
  4. You can post pictures anyway, just upload them in some server, there's plenty of them around the internet, Photobucket for example.
  5. That's a nice ship! I like the view of the interiors, especially what you are cooking in that pot, looks really nice!
  6. Hello there About your great selling, I am really interested in your lots, specially in the imperial flagship, bsb lot and imperial trading post lot, thing is I am from Costa Rica, dunno if you would be willing to ship outside US , if so please let me know! Thnks in advance for your reply Kind regards Ps: You had no space in your inbox, don't know if this post can be here, if not, mods please delete this :P
  7. Thank you sooo much for sharing this! It was absolutely what I was looking for! Still playing with the features, gotta figure out how to change an entire color from one used to another one in all bricks at once, guess theres a way to do it..but so far it is just, well.. got no words, way better than expected Thanks again!
  8. Very nice indeed! I like the battle scene on deck! Just one thing.. and hope you take it as a constructive critic: I don't know if only I see it, but seems to me that the ship is kind of larger than the masts are higher..therefore, it loses a little proportion..
  9. I remember running into this same problem, you can try doing what I did, which seems to work.. more or less.. and it is simply making the ship larger, in order to match its height.. It seemed to me the most logical and simplest way to fix that on my QAR, but maybe that could had been just foolish of me..after all, I'm just some random newbie..
  10. For some of you islander lovers..check this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Islanders-lot-6278-6256-6246-6236-/260933164636?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc0d41e5c bid fast, its almost gone :P
  11. These you quoted were rather from the north,..Inca's were the ones from the south..and well.. I was kind of imagining some natives from the Amazon or something, or that was the impression they gave as a child, but disscusing with my brother about this some weeks ago, we end up believing they has some heavy influences from a far distant land ...not in America ..as you can see the bones on their hairs, the horned mask from king kahuka.. guess thats its name, and some other several details,..Inca's were more of a civilization than a tribe.. That stone face from the forbidden cove, and the one from the enchanted Island sets always seemed to me as similar as the Moai statues from Pascua Island, and that's kind of near to the Inca's civilization, so ..another reason to kept me thinking they were from south america, but .. well.. they could be some kind of strange mix after all..
  12. As I see the islanders, they are from South America, not any region in particular, but that's the idea it gives to me as seeing 'em.. Of course, no horses, pigs or goats, these were brought by the european..
  13. Nice look! I always wanted to do a mod on my skull island, but this is far from what I had imagined!
  14. Well, I'm already doing my own inventary, it'll take me ages, since the only way left for me to complete it, is to follow through all the 3200 steps, and see what bricks are used each, and accounting 'em into colors and availability.. Already on step 27, :D ...wish me luck T_T Here's just an image of the inventary: Long route left for me.. Btw, I'm also watching a black seas on ebay, hope I can win it, tho I don't wanna pay too much for it hehe.. Ohhh, and for some of you who wants to spend on a very nice lot: http://www.ebay.com/itm/370575722739?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 I'd myself, but right now I'm short on budget..
  15. Hehe, LDD took a day and a half to complete the instructions, and an hour to make 'em in html...3200 steps :P but that's because my pc ..well, it is time to change it. Still a part list for the building instructions would save me a lot of time, please let me know when you get into your desing, maybe I was doing something wrong on mine and it didn't worked. :O Edit: well, at least I now know the complete building has nearly 9000 bricks...ouch..
  16. QAR.. according to the movie, or to some official images on the internet, hast indeed lots of skeletal ornaments, or hanged skeletons.., but not in the places 4195 lego QAR has..it doesn't bothers me much, but it could certainly be better placed.. fortunately, it brings enough material for us to make the neccesary mods :P
  17. I did installed Ldraw, and used the addon to convert LDD files to Ldraw ones, but on the process, it converted 0 bricks hehe, I got no idea how to make it work can you give me a hand?
  18. Really?! :O that'd be really useful! Imma look into that..I'm very anxious to start ordering pieces from bricklink xD
  19. LDD can also generate instructions, it can even made every step into html format..but what I really need is an accounting on every brick used :P .. I'm sure internally LDD has that property..it must have it..but as sebeus stated, it might be something hidden from final users.
  20. I'm afraid I must bump on this: "Anybody knows if there's any way to make some kind of report from LDD that shows number of bricks used, how much of each one.. how much of each color.. etc, otherwise I'd need to account every piece I used to make the orders from bricklink, which obbiusly will take me a month maybe..with some percentage of failure of course.."
  21. I didn't realized it was a necro :P .. I just saw it bumped and replied My sincere apologies.
  22. Using photobucket automatically resize images as you post 'em... just saying..that's what I use and all images are in the same size no matter how big they were..
  23. Nice look, good ammount of cannons! Only thing that bugs me is: Why didn't you used the same technique for the upper gun decks as the one you used on the lowers.. I mean, the look of a plain hull instead of the one with space to attach pieces.. dunno if that has an specific name :P
  24. Black seas was the 1st I tried to assemble, and the one I wanted the most to finish as complete as possible, so it drained most of the pieces for the ither ships :P Glad you liked the mods on Redbeard Runner.. I so wanted to get rid of those ugly and useless playing features, that only fill space for the important parts of the ship, with more bricks I'd had done something better, but for now guess it would sails the seas as it is, 'til I get another lot :P That's exactly what I was commenting to Brig.Brick couple days ago, sails on IFS looks kind of ... awkward.. not like the ones in QAR.. or in mostly any other set...besides BBB..
  25. I have been following your progress silently, maybe because I'm a little shy hehe, but I must comment seeing your crewmembers, they are just awesome custom minifigs! My favorites are: Lefthook, Trollface and Drunky hehe Love the details you made on the gunports, at first I didn't noted the face, and I was about to ask you to make em, but it clearly is there, hehe, nice touch One question, did you had the chance to check the dutchman Carl Greatrix made some months ago before it was removed from the internet? ...he used some kind of skullface over the gunports, but that's not as accurate as in your desing
