  1. Well, a little late, but here it is, abuse of it as much as you want Yawgmoth Bluecoat Red tripple plume on a black bicorne, Ogel head, red eppaulettes, hector barbossa's torso, the dark blue one, rapier from brickarms, and black ringwraith capecloth.
  2. Hehe, yeah, of course ironhook is a pirate captain, has his crew and ship, and his influence over the lego pirate world is considerable, maybe what I was referring was about the struggle between redbeard and brickbeard, some like one most than the other, and viceversa, but in my eyes, roger/redbeard was the first, is the current, and unless something huge comes to lego pirate world, will be the definitive captain pirate.
  3. Here would be my preferences in order: 1) Roger of course, the real and only pirate captain of all lego pirate system. 2) Ironhook, following Roger, it is also very popular in classic pirate sets, maybe not commanding huge ships, but his adventures with islanders and treasures are really enjoyable. 3) Pirate captain from series 8, love his shirt, and face, and the golden jolly roger in his hat is pretty cool, a shame its desing (the jolly roger) isn't from the good old times. 4) Brickbeard, his name is kind of, not so serious, nor his hat or face, but his torso is cool, and golden epaulletes are nice too. 5) Captain pete, useful torso for pirates, but an almost useless face, and an ugly hat.
  4. I wont be missing this one. 1) Yawgmoth 2) Bluecoats 3) Midshipman or soldier or cooper
  5. Hehe, at first I tried to make something like this, but I guess by giving space to the cabin, I raised up the stern a little too much :P I guess I could try to convert it to look like a carrack, but it surely will need more than just raising up the forecastle, the sail plan should be remodeled I guess thanks for the comments tho, it really encourage me to keep improving myself
  6. [pid][/pid] 141D Well, finally after some months I could gather a little time to build something I wanted to: a Renegade Runner with some more details and necessary stuff, making it a little more realistic, without leaving aside the classic pirate feel. I really enjoyed building it, and even when I gave a little different appereance and colours to the original design, I feel now it looks like I wanted it to. So, here we go. Side view Finally a captain's cabin, even if little, it really deserved to have one Side view of the stern Front view of the captains cabin An steering wheel, now it can be controlled properly Also an anchor, another of those stuff I wanted to have included in this set One last view from the sky Well, that was it, thanks for watching. As always, feedback will be always appreciated. :)
  7. Ahmmm....The Queen Anne's Revenge is supposed to be like that...
  8. [pid][/pid] 139D Hello there Well, This is yet another improvement from the original QAR. I added a lot more details, proper decks, an anchor mechanism, modularity, and some other stuff. With each issue, I am trying to modify it more and more to resemble the original QAR from the movie. With no other introduction, here she is: Hope you enjoyed it! till the next modded set :P PS: This creation is made up from the last one I posted some months ago, here it is in case you dont remember.
  9. That would be a nice thing to have!
  10. Thanks! and well, the same 2, with some more black and yellow bricks, and more windows :P
  11. Hi there Well, I finally redone my BSB. I know, I had done it before, but now it contains more details, its higher, bigger, and with more gunpower!. Also, it was a nice experience, since it gave me an idea how would be to build my LDD project, the Queen Anne's Revenge, I don't know if some of you remember it, in case you don't, *Click*. Since I built my last BSB, out of 2 original 6285 sets, I always wanted to fix some problems I experienced from observation. Now I know theres still some stuff to fix on this one, but hopefully these are less than before. Anyway, I present you, my second try on the Black Seas Barracuda, didnt took pictures of the insides, the cabin have a good modular design, but the lowerdecks still need one or two redesigns to be 100% functional. This is still a work in progress, and I'd really appreciate feedback, I know there's still lots of things to improve, and I am eager to hear any advice :) PS. Looking at forums earlier, I realized Sebeus used on his HMS Intersector the same figurehead I was planning to for this one hehe, I knew I should had post this before ... ohh well.. Great minds thinks alike I suppose.
  12. It kind of reminds me of the feel of skull island, mixed with lagoon lock up, looks really cool though, :D
  13. Where are the islanders? :O I'd choose pirate anyway
  14. Finally got my beloved Skull Eye Schooner, I got it by a total of 200$ including shipping from Alemania to Costa Rica, it was like new, feeling very satisfied with the results. Here's some pics of my actual fleet:
  15. Nice to meet ya! :D so good to see another Costa Rican member here :O (Pura vida viejo!) Gotta take a look at that store, it might have some interesting stuff, at least it is another one.. I am sure there are couple more on BL, but searching for them is kind of hard :P Anyway, thanks for the link! edit: I did a little research with a filter in shop's name that onvolved "free" or "free s/h", this is what I got: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Seijitai http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=helga_h http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=legoTW http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=tedmichon http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=ellys.d.bricks http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Jefo11 http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Haarstukje http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=m911_01 http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=jjwreber http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=dig.a.brick Hope it helps! :D
  16. Thanks! Btw, I made a little update on the thread, feel free to take a look and maybe leave some comments :P
  17. Hello there. I wasnt sure if I could post this on the buy / sell / trade thread, so I better open it here, hope you guys dont get mad at it :P The main thing here is... I recently found one awesome store in BL, which offers really nice prices and, best of all, international free shipping, but the store, even when has a huge variety of lots, there are few pieces in each lot,.. So I was wondering if theres any other store that offers the same service, so we can search not only in one place. ..For those that are always looking for lego to buy. This is the store: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Fedibeka We can make a list of free shipping finds here if you like... Btw, I did a search on the BL thread on eurobricks, but none really offered free international shipping like this one. Happy weekend.
  18. I like it! .. I believe I saw the whip stuff as railing of stern on another QAR MOC, but here looks really cool. Nice design overall, you made a good work on stern in general, adding proper balconies and windows, really nice work! :D
  19. I always hoped you could add some more updates on your former WIP thread, thought you had declined on your attemp, which made me kind of sad, coz I was following the progress really closely, I really love how you make curves on the hull... you had some really nice ideas, I was about to copy some of them for my QAR hehe... Anyway, this is the WIP thread if I am not wrong, if anyone like to check it:
  20. Really nice! I'll try my desing based on yours, hopefully this weekend..
  21. Go ahead! I'd love to see your desing! :D ... unfortunatelly, I had few pieces in stock for this MOC, I'd had wanted to make her a little cabin , or some interiors,... she has some access to "low decks".. but with really few space below the only thing it is usefull right now is for an escape method hehe, I forgot to post images of those features :P maybe later.
  22. [pid][/pid] 133A Well, as the tittle says, this is my last ship using based on boats. For this one I used the last 4 boat pieces I had left, and wanted to experiment with some design I had in mind since weeks, but hadn't the time to impelment it. I need to thank Sebeus Iniwum, since his Raft Raiders MOC gave me this nice idea of using the sails he use on his rafts for my design. (Thanks! ) With no other introduction, here she is: BTW, I took inspiration in this awesome picture to make my design: Hope you all like it!, feedback, as always, is welcome :) Cheeers~
  23. Yeah! actually I was also curious about the sail's material :P ... they looks pretty nice!
  24. This is simply awesome, it is more accurate to the movie version than the original lego set, which I like better! Love the sails, stern, everything! a ship of such splendor captured in a miniscale!. Truly a master piece!.
  25. I like your idea a lot! I had been thinking on something similar with the spare sails I had of the 2nd QAR :P this one is a really interesting idea, I had another one to make yet another little boat/ship :P (Like these) I still got 4 boat pieces to try for some more ideas on custom sails or other details :P
