I just looked up a couple instructions on several sites of this set and they are all really dark. You could save the pdf-iles to your computer and make them lighter with photo editing software. Just found some lighter scans, but not complete though> http://www.peeron.com/scans/7783-1.

Same here. I also do a lot of modding, especially if I want it to look a certain way and it can't be build with regular parts. But I've set a rule to myself when I do this, it must be done clean and thorough. Besides that I'm a big pc-gamer. But I can go easily without gaming (been my 3rd week as of now) and just mess around with Lego. Trying to come with idea's and stuff. You can always just start sketching out your ideas at first and then start building...

What else to other than; simply perfect! Everything just make sense. The custom stickers are a neat touch.

Lovely expression and great details all over. What's that white ring inside Red's tires? Can't seem to recall it.

Like how you attatched the bow, great work! Lovely enginepods as well, same goes for the whole underside. Though I get the feeling the twin balloons are too far from each other.

Ideas for New Action Themes
-zenn replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I would like to see a official Disney Tron theme... -
Thanks for the kind comments guys! Thanks! No, it just came in black; shirt + helmet + plain black legs and waist.

Ginger guy... Because the ones in orange look like garbagemen, the octan-overall guy lost its way to the racetrack and the others look like carpenters to me.

After enjoyed reading the Lego Easter Eggs topic I wondered if you put Easter Eggs in your own build as well...? - I tend to put at least a oldschool part in my NCS builds, as referring to its roots. - And the same goes for naming my moc's, I like to leave subtle hints. Like my latest build 'One Gridcycle' which refers to the shirt he's wearing and to binary/machine code.

Still felt like making a Tron bike after finishing the Crusader motorbike, so here it is. Probably my fastest bike build ever, took me only a day and a half. One; a gridcycle inspired by 'Tron: Legacy' and 'Ewok in Disguise'. Flickr Gallery Comments and critisiscm welcome.

Simply beautifull pods. Stunning color combo; orange + grey works for me! But most of all the aligned 'electricity' pieces.

4865 Harry Potter; The Forbidden Forest 6918 Kingdoms; Blacksmith Attack Both for parts only. I'm especially happy with 6918, some great parts in there!

1. Male 2. 27 3. Not counting Duplo, at age 4 I got > 6450. That's the set I most vividly remember getting as a kid. 4. As a kid Town & Space; building my own town with all kinds of vehicles and houses. Nowadays I build mostly Scifi, but I buy different themes for parts. 5. For me it's just to materialise and visualise the idea I got in my head with Lego being the medium. Almost like how a sculpture or architect would do it.

Thank you. Well the bike is actually really sturdy, so after finishing it, I always put the fig on at last. And I only had to adjust its posing a little bit. Yes and no. They can turn, but due to cheese slope bricks on both ends they aren't able to do so. It was more for aesthetics than function.

This bike actually started out as a Tronish bike. But when I was building, it progressed more to look like the bikes from the movie Priest. I messed around with several color highlights, but it just looked better in one uniform color. Crusader; a motorbike inspired by 'Priest'. Flickr Gallery Comments and critisiscm welcome.

Haha, I did the same! Do coins still come in a sprue btw, or are they also seperated now?
-
Ah I get it now... Grint is the first guy we see in the video, but Sheeran is actually the last one.
-
I thought it was Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) at first... But a pretty relaxed song btw.

I'd think it all depends on the time setting, as long as they are steam-powered somehow. It could for instance be set in the future where they only progressed to steam and not further. Or a grimmy 1800's London vibe. Or a wonderfull fantasy rich present-day steampunk setting. With all kinds of crazy gadgets, contraptions and gizmos included! It's still your imagination what makes it work. But with most build I come across they use Brown (wood), Black (steel, boilers, gears), Light grays (tubing, pipes, valves) and Gold (accents). I would defintely take a look at some movies; 20,000 leages under the sea (1997), Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), Atlantis: Milo's Return (2003), Around the world in 80 days (2004), City of Ember (2008), The City of Lost Children (1995)[French], Dark City (1998), League of Extraodinary Gentlemen (2003), The Time Machine (2002), Van Hellsing (2004), Treasure Planet (2002), Wild Wild West (1999). I would also take a look at the Steampunk lego group over at Flickr for some inspiration. I did all of the above for one of mine Steampunk inspired builds.

Nasty looking spikes! Are those ninja throwing stars!?
-
Easiest would be an official Blacktron III theme, the torso's are already designed, just some more evil heads and stuff. But I would much rather see another faction joing the fight against those nasties from 'Alien Conquest' or 'Space Police III'. Coming from the Dark-side of the moon, which have a base, low-grav buggies etc.

Oh man, looks better in black. You should really watch DR1 and DR2, some sweet ride in those movies. Just <3 Pachenko's '66 Buick Riviera...
-
I like it! =D Reminds me of Deathrace. =)

wow, love the head and legs. I would only look into those hands, they seem tiny compared to the rest of the body.
