Misprints and Other LEGO Production Oddities

I think LEGO molds must have (or at least used to have) replaceable parts. I have this brick with both the old and new style LEGO logo. Edit: Also have one with an angled logo.

    Looking for Lego Club PDF

LEGO magazines are nearly impossible to find in digital format. But I do have the physical version of it that I could take pictures/scan. Was there something particular you wanted from it or did you want the whole magazine?

    Vibrant Coral under Blacklight

LEGO under UV light can be weird, here is my 42056 Porsche under a blacklight: Regular vs. UV

Sets with large sized extra pieces

A good example of this is 41172 and 41176 from the Elves theme each have an extra dragon wing. And 41033 Jungle Falls Rescue has an extra vine piece.

Need Help Constructing the Right Wheels

It looks like part # 3740 was used in the model. Unfortunately the last time it was in a set was 1989 so you won't find it on the LEGO website. But you can find it on Bricklink: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3740#T=S&C=11&O={"color":11} or on Brickowl: http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-tyre-24-x-43-technic-3740

How many sets do you own?

Hmm, according to Brickset I have 2,347 sets, (1,386 unique) containing 688,282 parts and 5,665 minifigures. About 60 of the 'sets' are CMFs.

    LEGO Ideas Discussion

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this yet, but the reason the Doctor Who set took so long to me revealed is the no new molds rule for Ideas. Since LEGO has made it very clear that they will not make an Ideas set that requires new molds, they had to release the sonic screwdriver in the dimensions level pack before revealing the Ideas set. LEGO must have really wanted to make this happen to make a loophole like this.

Lego Gives Away a Lot of Free Bricks, Doesn't It?

In 2013 the LEGO company produced over 55,000,000,000 pieces, giving away 10,700,000 yearly (about 0.02% of total production) doesn't sound like all that much when you look at it that way.
