Very nice collection. The Throwbots are simply excellent; some of their designs are very ahead of their time, and they're a fascinating insight into how BIONICLE became what it ended up being. Oh yeah, the titans were top-tier. Millenium and Blaster rank as some of my favorite sets.

Now I want to design a constraction Overlord. Hmmmmm...

What are you referring to? Lewa? I'm not exactly sure which post you're replying to, there's so many. XD Lewa's always been Master of Jungle, even in the INITIAL name leaks we've got. The only people who insisted otherwise were those trying to grasp at paper-thin straws to ease their fears of a reboot.
-
Even if they DO hypothetically end up dropping BIONICLE terminology, while that would be unfortunate, it wouldn't immediately torpedo the storyline. It is possible to tell a well crafted story without using a lot of odd-sounding words, even if those words were part of what INITIALLY made BIONICLE unique.

^ok In the meantime, if legitimate, this all sounds pretty intriguing! I look forward to seeing where this goes.
-
Yeah; if anything, I've seen a TON of people incorrectly assume that reboot means that the new BIONICLE would be retreading the same ground as the old line. That's a false mentality, and will never happen. A reboot is the correct terminology to use.

While I do completely agree with you personally, there is still the theory that the Toa control their respective regions of Spherus Magna, so Lewa would control the "Jungle region."

By "preliminary leaks" I was referring to the colored display, not the pictures from the shop site. I probably should have clarified. :P These are obviously not from that stage due to the presence of the Mask of Creation instead of the Ignika (although not many other details have been changed, to be honest - only Tahu's Hau). These catalog pictures, however, are the exact same as the sets on the colored display (except for LoSS who, you've gotta admit, looks almost exactly the same as the shop site picture).
-
For what it's worth, it's not that I took the trolling lightly; it's that I didn't believe it for a second because it was obviously fake. :P
-
Oh yeah, they're from the exact same stage as the preliminary leaks from a while back. The only new, finalized portions are the boxes at the bottom of the pages. THOSE are final (but small).

I quite love the new Pakari. Just throwing that out there. Reminds me of Takua's movie Pakari, just with added holes on the hide. Seems to be a recurring trend with these masks.

That plot information is such an obviously shopped image. Somebody just pasted text onto the ExoForce.RU page. Were it legit, the actual page would have been linked. Also, cross-posting from TFW because it blew my mind:

Unfortunately, it probably won't go live until the morning. :P
-
Please do this. It would make Ven's week. :P Oh yeah, my thoughts. Sets are schway. I just spent two hours talking about them at length so I'm a little talked out. XD

Pretty much this. I always enjoyed the general threads that this forum has.

149. :P

Is it bad that the most interesting thing about all of this for me is the TECHNIC logo? :P Then again, I suppose it isn't surprising they'd return to their roots a little (if even in concept art only) considering the return of functions.

Finding flaws in certain elements of set design is nothing new, and doesn't really compare to the dislike of an entire system. Inika heads, light-up eyes, the switch to transparent head pieces, helmets... the list goes on. That being said, yes, modifications are always an option. :P It needs to be understood that a radical shift in design like this, hypothetically done solely for the purpose of returning a game feature to the line, is going to be polarizing. I remember the backlash when 2009 introduced helmets for the first time; that's going to seem like nothing once the community at large realizes this new method of attachment. To be completely honest, I don't blame them. Form vs. function has always been a long-running debate when it comes to technic-based functions like gears as opposed to increased articulation and the like; introducing this change to masks, something rooted deeply in BIONICLE's history, isn't going to be received well by everybody, and that's perfectly okay. Personally speaking, though, I'm excited for the change; it's going to be a breath of fresh air and I'm very eager to see what the new head design is like. I think that if this new system is approached in the proper way, MoCists will inevitably discover many creative solutions to the problem and adapt accordingly (as the community always has) ESPECIALLY if the theory about the masks attaching to axle holes ends up being true.

What were your First and Last BIONICLE G1 Sets?
Mesonak replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Action Figures
My first (proper) set was Gali Mata, although I owned all six Tohunga before I purchased her. The last retail set that I bought was a duplicate of Tahu Stars for golden armor displaying purposes, although I have purchased numerous sets from Ebay since then. -
Oh wow, I had forgotten that Gaardus was a thing. What an odd combiner.
-
Also that.
-
It's a joking misspelling. :P
-
I don't know why everybody's getting excited; you know they're just going to officially launch the website (with nothing special on it except the MoCr). :P
-
Okay yeah, that one is pretty cool. :P

I could be completely wrong, but it sure does like Dark Azure when comparing it to the palette. :/
