Just got my figures today. Thanks so much for hosting and running this every year CopMike!

All my LEGO is boxed up at the moment but I managed to throw something together in LDD. When I think of snow, the first thing that pops into my mind is an igloo: Thanks so much for hosting the raffle, and good luck to everyone else!

I won Prize A, but I'd like to trade it for any of the other prizes. I can ship in the US and Canada.

My ideal tree is just something simple, clean, and green. Thanks for holding this raffle yet again, CopMike!

The figs do look a lot better now that I can see them close up. I'm sort of disappointed that Bilbo's legs don't have Hobbit feet, as LEGO has shown that they could've done with a few figures, such as Rocket here: Still, it's a decent set and I'll probably end up getting it when it goes on sale.

Lol, I didn't know about this, but I Googled it, here's what I found on the LOTR Wiki: "River Trolls are never mentioned in J.R.R Tolkien's writings. The idea that Tolkien wrote about them arose from a misreading of the text in The Hobbit. As the dwarves enter Lake-town, the narrative mentions "occasional squabbles about river-tolls" between the men of Lake-town and the nearby elves. In other words, squabbles over whether the elves or the men could collect (or had to pay) tolls for passing down the river. Some readers mistakenly read the word tolls as trolls, thereby imagining entirely new creatures called "River-trolls" that Tolkien never intended." Perhaps they'll show up in the film as a nod to the misunderstanding. You never know with Peter Jackson!

Check this out! Not sure if it should be in the Games forum, but it has potential for future sets, which is the topic of this one. I found this in a Google search this morning, it's a promo for a character pack for the LEGO Hobbit Video Game: The river troll looks a little bit odd in my opinion, I doubt that we'll ever see it in physical form. The Dwarf Soldier, however, could perhaps be one of the figs in the Bo5A set, although it could also be a design based upon the Dwarf soldiers seen at the battle of Azanulbizar. I like the look of Dwalin's beard underneath the helmet, it has the hair coming out the back and just looks all around nice in my opinion. What do you all think! Also, note the minifigs listed in the character pack: Dwarf Merchant Lady (http://middleearthnews.com/files/2013/04/photo-11.jpg), Vacation Saruman (???), Thranduil's Elk (http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130803231105/lotr/images/8/8e/Thranduil_in_Elk.png), and Girion (http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131230141435/lotr/images/9/9f/Girion,_Lord_of_Dale.jpg). If only we could have physical variants of those characters. . .

Hi all! This is my first time creating a new topic! I just created my Eurobricks account yesterday, and am very excited to be able to participate in the Forums community! I have been attempting to upload a profile picture, but it keeps on saying that the maximum file size is 100 kb. However, whenever I reduce the amount of pixels in the image and upload it, it appears that it has successfully been uploaded, but instead it just shows black. The picture that I want to be my profile pic does have black around the edges, so it may have been automatically cropped somehow, but when I go to "adjust the cropped image", the cropping tool is simply blank, with a moving dotted line. When I try to resize the blankness, the selection becomes a thin rectangle at the top of the cropping tool. I'm not sure if I'm doing anything incorrectly, so please point out any mistakes I might have made or things I might have done wrong! Thanks! -Automaton Creations P.S. When I was creating my account (i.e. username, email, password), the site asked me a "challenge question" to make sure that I wasn't a spammer. The question that I was given was something along the lines of "What has been the worst LEGO theme so far?". I think that the answer to that question can be a matter of opinion. I entered some of my best guesses (Jack Stone, Bionicle), but none of my guesses were correct. Eventually, I was given another question, which I got right, but I'm not sure if that should be one of the "challenge questions". Everyone has their own least favorite LEGO theme, but the only correct answer to the challenge question was that of the person who came up with the challenge questions. Could this question be changed somehow, to make it easier for people?
