  1. Forestmen's Hideout Release: 1988 Pieces: 198 Figures: 2 Original price: $17,50 The story Inside the great forest there are not only wilde animals to look out for. People entering the great forest always get the feeling being watched, but they never find any traces of people if they look around. They say it are the Forestmen who are in full control of the great forest, and its them who watch anybody who enters the great forest. Some knights ask there self: Where al those forestmen come from, where do they life? How do they always know where you are in the forest? Well, I know the answer tot that, It was me Odeüs who lived among them for a few months. I have made some drawings from a few of their buildings and maybe than you understand, why this people are rarely seen inside their great forest. The building The Hideout is a type of building the forestmen use to keep an eye on parts of the great forest. It is manned with 2 forestmen, who patrol the area, esspacially roads. The hideout itself is very difficult to see because there is a tree every 10 feet. besides that a hideout has many diverent shapes because the base of the hideout is a hollow tree who can be found al lot in the great forest. Inside this tree a room is made to live en watch the direct suroundings of the hide out. There can also be a target found for practise witch bow and arrow. Its not that every forestmen is born with great bow skill, its pratice, practise, practise. Besides this all, the hideout is quite modest. It can look deserted in a few minutes, or be made habitable in second. The opening in the tree gives the forestmen a quick way to hide or the escape the tree in case of great danger. Inside this tree a room is made to live en watch the direct suroundings of the hide out. The following drawings give a idea how the tree would look if we cut them in half (a ridiculous idea of course ) Well, I hope you enjoyed the discription I gave of the forestmen hideout. Hopefully you understand more of this people who are living their own life in the great forest For now I greet you all, and I'm hoping to see you soon. Odeüs
  2. Greetings Fellow Kaliphlins (kaliphliners???) We have found a abandoned outpost in the waste land near the river. our plan is to build a trade outpost here where people can store products and refill their watersupplies. My question is where I can find some good oil to trade with other guilds... Is there a good oil production facility anywhere???? I haven't seen any. (ps. the western river, where does it start??? in the dessert????
  3. Joining the force of Dextruss Flagg!

  4. Greetings, My name is Antoi(in the middle), I represent the Eastern Trade Faction. 5 years ago our Master was betrayed and killed bij our emperor across the ocean and our faction was attacked and destroyed. Only a few men survived and managed to escape. I was among the lucky few en with some of the others i got to Historica. Here in Kaliphlin we found a new home and could we get back to business. We are specialized in small arms trade and other small goods. Since death of the king of Historia we plegde of alliance to Dextrus Flagg, Who we still thank for his help with our new life here.

    LEGO World 2010

    me to:D
  7. If you look at it in historic terms, then there are not that many factions. In theory that is. Medival Europe had a few kings and Emperors who needed the help of their vazals (is that correct English?) basicly the vazals promised the king to help them. In return the got ground which gave them theire income (and power). Those vazals fought each other, and sometimes their own king! But if their king waged ware against an other king the're supposed to help their king out with some soldiers...... Hope this make any sence (I tell it better in dutch then English) but this way you see the factions work together but at the same time there is some frictions between de factions on the same side.

If TLG Were to Revisit a Castle Faction

difficult choice to make. My first thought was the forestmen, but then again, what could be added without taking the mystery around these men away? Carts, catapults, houses al these are strange for them. I like the way they are now! Change them could make the theme less mysterious. (same goes for the wolfpack) IMO the Royal knight were never really expanded. Ok, we have a castle, a Catapult, a draw bridge and the kings carriage, but I suppose there could me a lot more. As they are "civilized" there could be a town (market, mill, houses, etc) or something like that. So I choose the royal knight, just for the possibilities of expanding

    Crown Cannon and Crew

Nice looking cannon, I also like the golden piece to get a Crownie feeling. I think the bandana guy is holding binoculars or something like that .... The bandana guy is also the one out of place i guess. Its not very "crownie" Maybe you could chance that.
  15. wow.... just great.. the lack of bricks doesn't bother me. I love the way you bring the fight to different levels (underground, above and inside)

    Romans or Greeks/Spartans

yep, He did see india an fought some battles... And yes they also fought against some elephants (you could make great of use the orient expedition sets)

    Romans or Greeks/Spartans

In the end, it doesn't matter i Suppose. The Roman or greek is almost the same as the roman stole the greek culture. I love the see a phalanx though, or Alexander the great who conquered even persia (even the romans didn't succeeded in that) On the other hand, The roman could fight Hannibal and his Elephants. Actually, it doesn't matter to me, as long as it is historical correct.

Thanks for the tip Klaus-Dieter. I was not particularly happy with the colorscheme as well (to much color) but as I do not have that many lego in different colors I sure like your idea. As soon as its finished i'll open a new post to show it. This one is yours greets, Antoi
