I think pre disney plus shows they had genuinely ran out of ideas we were getting 4 a year and when we got like the bounty hunter pack and the tatooine pack and they took that as a sign that we didn’t want any more battle packs and then we’ve got all this new content with new factions/ troopers and they could do dozen or more from just the Disney plus shows let alone redoing ones from the past or doing ones that they missed from the 11 films. We’ve had 3 this year (2 are big packs) and they’ve all been different enough to not ruin sales imo. I think there is room for the traditional 4 figure one but I think I like the idea of the 6-8 faction vs faction ones more. I think battle packs give the opportunity to get your basic trooper (or the odd specialist) and you leave room for more desirable named figures in your more expensive sets. -

So in the U.K. Amazon have got the ISD at 15% off they are the only ones outside of Lego themselves that sell the set. My question is do we think Amazon are likely to do a bigger discount at some point in the future or is 15% good. they’ve also got Rivendell at 15% off as well which I think is a great deal but I’m definitely too poor for that set -

Just finished building the new rebel/stormie bp. It is amazing but both factions are definitely missing that 4th figure - especially one that is different from the others (tie pilot or rebel friend) but I must admit since they bought the battle packs back they’ve all been pretty decent imo (except for their over reliance on one particular clone legion). I hope we get some next year I know everyone wants night trooper but I’d rather an imperial remnant one first, and maybe another clone legion. Definitely don’t want any more Mandolorian ones but anything else I’m game for -

I’ve said from the start if they didn’t do the troopers in an initial follow up wave they’ll save them for a bp or patrol gunship set for when they do filonis Thrawn film or an Ahsoka S2 whichever comes first. -

I’ve just ordered the new BP, was going to pick up the Medieval Town Square or the ISD but I’ve got a gut feeling we are a month away from Black Friday and if either of those go on sale I’d be fuming. Been looking to see if the drop ship is definitely an exclusive as well and by the looks of it in the U.K. at least it’s just being sold at Lego. Sometimes they say exclusive but they appear in random shops sometimes -

Suppose they did do the falcon at this scale and the Tantive everything else has been capital ships but I agree it’s a weird choice. I’m not a fan of the ships tbh I feel like if they’d come with a figure they might be more appealing. so is it 100% confirmed we are getting a January wave, May wave and then August wave? -

I wonder what the May the 4th GWP will be? It will be a big decider on whether I pick up these sets straight away or later on in a sale -

Is Obi Wans starfighter retiring this year and yodas one? if not we are going to have 5 Jedi fighters on the shelves by the time we get to the summer. I’m a fan of them but it’s a bit overkill. Im kind of skeptical about this plo koon rumour just seems like to many unless it’s a complete redesign but still surely that could wait another year. And small minor complaint but all these Jedi fighters and republic fighters but they’ve got no one to go up against? We need a vulture droid or some kind of separatist fighter. OT we’ve always got TIE against rebels fighters. -

Don’t know if anyone else has noticed but the rumoured price for 75399 was $80 and now that set is rumoured to be the Uwing. Which if true given adjustment for inflation is going to be a bit smaller than the previous one which I think is ok as they’ve done quite well when it comes to downsizing some ships in recent years -

This summers wave I’ve just bought the figures I liked off eBay only half a dozen but it cost me 20% of what it would to have bought the sets to get the figures I liked. However the may/June wave I did buy straight away as I thought those sets were a little better on the price front Looking to 2025 I’m kind of interested in the the Jedi fighter and ARC170 but again I’m thinking of waiting for a sale. I use a site now that emails me when a set goes on sale and I’m happy to play the waiting game to get the sets I want at the right price for me. Also find I’m using my wife blue lights card and other sites to get as much off as possible before the pandemic I didn’t care about that I just got what I wanted and when I wanted it and it had little to no impact on what I had left of my wages per month. -

Was there not a rumoured throne room diorama supposed to be coming last year or earlier? Or have I misremembered -

Without any more info I’d guess the UCS set would be a ship/fighter for that price. A new Endor is going to be £300 plus in these inflated days of Lego releases (and that’s being conservative it’ll probs be 500+) -

I’m not surprised at the price. If you look at the clone bp from January it was £25 with 4 clones and a bunch of droids (if we count them as figures) so a similar battle pack will be in the same region except this has an anniversary figure which I’m guessing accounts for the £10 difference I’m hoping it’s not Lego hiking prices up that much in 10 months. the price was never confirmed, the 44.99 was just some guy on Instagram guessing which everyone took as gospel. I just hope that this isn’t a Lego exclusive just so there’s a chance of picking it up cheaper somewhere else -

So the rebel vs stormie bp shows how much they can add to a set. Januarys bp was £25 in January so by chucking an anniversary figure in its an extra £10 for a droid. I still want one if it’s an exclusive just one but if it’s sold in other stores I might get it from there but cheaper -

I know right, I’m married, one child second on the way, got a mortgage etc and enough after that to do a few things but when it’s like £70 for a video game and then like couple hundred a wave for new sets something has to give. I don’t just collect SW most of us dip into other themes and it’s just crazy. It’s the only problem with the UCS and some Icons sets are their exclusivity at Lego. You have to wait for a sale which is sometimes not that great at least when sets go to other stores they do bigger discounts on them. I’m still trying to pluck up the courage to spend some money on the Barad Dur set if the prices keep going up going to have to start a side hustle as a bank robber to be able to feed my Lego addiction lol -

Is this a UCS or MBS for that price those figure selections are bad. I’d expect for a premium product to be all new prints no reuses and you know the skiff set is purely to go along with this so to get the full thing is more money I feel like Lego is taking the **** with this. For those who like it and love it fair play to you but I thought it was supposed to be bigger as well from the big leak last year? Has it been downgraded like the medieval town square set. Lego is too expensive now I wouldn’t even pay half of what the rrp is. Where do people get the money to afford these sets -

I’m not surprised tbh, although we’ve had parts of different imperial bases. think of the OT only kind of imperial base is on Endor which we’ve had, everything else has always been rebels featured hence why we’ve had a Yavin and echo base and after that a lot of the films are on capital ships. outside of the OT in the imperial era, rebels focused on ships and land vehicles (tbf most of LSW does the same), rogue one we did have the scariff base set. Mando we’ve got the new set with Paz vizla and moff Gideon. I think the big issue is selling a set that is an imperial base most sets are kind of based on something from films/shows is there an imperial base that features prominently enough to warrant a set? also it’s Lego we can pretty much make and design our own bases, that’s what I’ve done in the past. -

For those who bought the Star Destroyer what are your thoughts on it? I’ve seen it on sale (only a 10%) been debating whether to get it. Honestly I want the set mainly for Cal, but I can’t bring myself to spend £75 on a minifigure alone. ive also never owned a star destroyer set before so would be nice to get one but I’m not sure what the odds are of a bigger sale in the near future -

Has the price actually been confirmed yet though? Just think 45 is crazy considering the BP we got in January was 25. I know there’s an anniversary figure so I expect a small increase but not nearly double. I do want this set id even get two to get more fleet troopers but as it could be a Lego exclusive I doubt it’ll ever be on sale and if it is 45 then it’s too much to get more than one -

Anything that isn’t a diorama, helmet, UCS, MBS, buildable figure, midi scale ships. I’d say anything that would be considered a normal Lego set 10-20 years ago ie a ship with some figures, or a building and some figures. so this year the RTG sets, the dual on peridia, Saarlac pit, the 3 Mando S3 sets, the Darth maul ship, the boarding set, battle packs and the 4+ set that no one bought from January (I might have missed a set) but basically there the normal playsets -

All of everyone is saying is opinion. No facts really except for the fact that SW is one of the top selling themes. There is interest in all age groups but since Covid it’s obvious Lego is aiming more and more sets at an adult audience. From my experience a lot of my friends started collecting during the lockdowns and I’m sure they aren’t alone that’s the aim of the icons line and it’ll be a phase and eventually Lego wilL go back to mostly system sets. kids will always like SW but you don’t hear from them because they aren’t on social media they aren’t on this forum. There are different kinds of SW fans there are those who literally just watch the films and don’t bother with the animated stuff or comics or books and they are still fans as much as everyone else maybe what will hurt Star Wars in the long run is its recent reliance on cameos and fan service. Like showing Zeb in the Mando trailer only people who’ve watched rebels will know who he is others’ll think he some hairless wookiee. I admit it’s something which takes me out of the show, but it’s just Disney trying marvelify Star Wars -

If we got a battle pack for inferno squadron, having one with Purge troopers isn’t completely out of the question. Could easily have a commander and 3 troopers and that would keep everyone happy. im of the delusion that they could easily turn the games in to a disney+ series. Fallout and last of us have proven it’s possible to bring games to TV and if they could do that then they would have zero excuses not to do any sets -
