At first glance I was expecting the spirit to be part of the villain faction or possible somehow be related to the Skull Sorcerer (which I'm sure is a stretch) but yeah "spirit of the temple" does sounds like they're more tied to the temple than being a villain. Also yeah definitely agreed with the spirit being a neat figure, the printing design is really nice.

Yo, this wave looks really good and fresh! I can feel the variety and the minifig lineup looks absolutely stellar! The theming reminds me a good bit of Prime Empire and I like that If I have the cash and space, this might be the wave that I don't mind completing.

Wasn't really expecting the "all-new" series to be direct continuation in-spirit from the recent chapters but hey the stuffs shown in the trailer looks interesting, looks like the crazy stuffs is dialed to eleven here haha. The vibe with the sets looks promising with how Lloyd's mech looks (I really like how that looks ) Also despite being probably unlikely here's hoping that Lego would actually simulcast the episodes from their channel rather than having broadcasting them on some obscure tv channel. It's partially why I ended up not really enjoying my time watching Crystallized (aside from how disappointing the second part turned out).

[CONTEST] Eurobricks Create a Theme Contest - Rules & Discussion

Congratulations to the winners, well deserved! And thanks for hosting the contest too, Clone OPatra! While I didn't win, I'm certainly happy that I was able to cook something up and participate in this contest! And I definitely appreciate everyone that has voted for my entry, thank you all for it Also for the fun of it, I did another tally up myself and made a chart for the votes of the Theme Lineup to see how the voting went. I was going to add the individual voters to the list but the result seemed really reader-unfriendly so I scrapped that. But yeah, it seemed to be quite a fierce fight between Detection, Monster Racers, Cryptid Hunters, Medieval Village Life and Mission: Lazarus. Anyway, enjoy the chart!

Thank you, glad to hear that! I have loved the medieval themes ever since I've entered Lego seriously in 2010, from watching the 2007 Castle stuffs in Adventures of Clutch Powers, exploring the Heroica website and playing the online game in 2011 to exploring the 90s castle themes a few years back. And I have also watch and rewatched Lego commercials (far more times than I should admit haha ). So a lot of these factors was mixed in to the soup that was the eventual direction for this theme to match what Lego could produce as best as I can make. BTW, I do also want to thank you for the direction that I went with Akrarab the Orc. I initially had no idea on what kind of character/minifigure should I do for the good guy in the small set. Your theme Edie and Wicker Witches Cat 2 entry (Specifically, Edie in her True Witch outfit and Clarissa the bloodwitch) was the inspiration that Akarab should be a mage. And I ended up really happy with the results. So yeah again, thank you!

    [CaTC] Siegenomicon

(Pronounced as Siege-Nomicon) "Millennia has passed since the great wars of kingdoms. Peace has been established and kept among the denizens... Or so they thought. There are rumors that dark knights of old are on the rise, roaming unseen, re-summoned by sinister forces and responsible for various vanishings of entire towns. Many brave knights and adventurers has been dispatched to investigate. None has ever returned alive or with their sanity. Deep within castle walls, Kings and Queens of various kingdoms has formed a secret band of warriors, granting them the art of siege and defense. They are the King's Flame and they will not rest until every dark being responsible has been vanquished for they are the kingdoms' last line of defense and final strike!" Greeting! This is my entry to Eurobrick's Create a Theme Contest : Siegenomicon. A story about a band of warriors using siege machines to fight against the Old Knights, undead warriors from past evil factions summoned by a mysterious cabal. Initially the theme started as an original take on a Masters of the Universe-esque theme but eventually the direction pivoted to more of a traditional castle fantasy theme with additional elements from Dungeon and Dragons, Heroica, World of Warcraft added in to the mix. You can say Siegenomicon is kind of a "Legacy" theme. The setting of this world takes place in a reality where all events (with the exception of Nexo Knights, because I haven't worked out on how that could fit in yet.) from various Lego castle themes has happened. Hence why most individuals from the enemy faction are throwbacks to past villainous factions such as the Rogue Knights from Knights' Kingdom II, Dragon Knights from 2010's Kingdoms, the Trolls from Fantasy Era Castle or Goblins from Heroica. According to rare crazed survivors' fractured accounts - a single Old Knight is borderline impossible to deal with. Only magical fire will have the best chance of dispatching them and even then, it's still not a fair fight. The heroes - The King's Flame is a secret division comprised of Adventurers, Paladins, Mercenaries, Knights and Mages. They also are comprised of various races such as Orcs, Elves, Dragon-People etc. as most warring factions has settled down and united for peace. Most members will always use a Siegebow, mentally controlled giant crossbow ballistas imbued with unique fire magics necessary to counter the Old Knights. Combined with resilience, out of the box thinking, warped belief, crazed perceptions and intense training to mastery, can The King's Flame stand a proper chance against the rising threat. So yeah, here are the set I've made. Lower Price Point set - $15. The Orc Mage's Ballista. 77 parts (according to Stud.io) and 2 Minifigures. As mysterious obelisks has been erected in various forest, Akarab the Orc Mage must investigate. Unfortunately, obelisks always comes with a guardian each, the older they are the more powerful they will be. And this one is guarded by quite a relic of the past - an undead Rogue Knight, former servant of the legendary Vladek. Even armed with twin flamethrowers, will Akarab still stand a chance against the Rogue Knight? It's no common knowledge that battling an Old Knight is never a fair fight. (The obelisk charges its guardian with additional strength. You can imagine the Rogue Knight being strong enough to charge through the ballista to shreds which is pretty scary.) Fortunately, Rogue Knights in the past has never met an orc. High Price Point Set - $120. Siege of the Dark Abyss. 1036 parts (according to Stud.io) 5 minifigures. The ultimate unfair battle. Just as one against an Old Knight is already an unfair fight, a double tag team fighting two Old Knights is just as unfair. When that duo happens to be a Green Dragon Knight and a Goblin Guardian, warriors from the era of Kingdoms and Heroics, the fight is going to be really unfair as it gets. With a single-minded order of "none shall pass". As the war gets horrendously dire, it is imperative that secrets must be uncovered and investigated at the source! Thelma, Paladin of the Cedric Family and Supreme Commander of The King's Flame must direct an all out siege to draw out the Fortress' guardians and brute-force the gates open to allow Ridon, the Thief of the East to sneak in and infiltrate. If by some fortuitous luck the mission is successful, you can say for sure that's when things gets really bad. Not much has been known about the secret cabal that brewing this threat. So if the Count of the Frightening Stars and the Countess of the Enchanting Moon, two members of the cabal reveals themselves, whatever's in the fortress must've been too valueble to fall into The King's Flame hands. And they're not going to let anyone getting this far escape. With Ridon's fate unknown, Thelma must hold out with all of her might alone until reinforcement arrives. One against two Old Knights is already extremely one-sided. With the addition of two cabal members and their dreadbeasts, combined with the fortress' automated defenses, this makes seven against one, an unprecedented odds for the history of The King's Flame. This is truly the most unfair fight yet. Concept Ideas out of my head for further sets would include - A set featuring a much bigger siege machine with a Dragon-People member of The King's Flame at the helm. He technically will be the heavy hitter of the group. A rolling base set for The King's Flame shaped as a vanguard's shield. Only used as a final resort as members of The King's Flame prefer to work clandestinely with guerilla warfare tactics. A huge golem-like beast owned by a higher-ranked member of the cabal. More throwbacks to past faction such as Trolls from Fantasy Castle, Wolfpack and Black Falcons. The Minifigures (DISCLAIMER - this part has nothing to do with Category 2) This is just something extra I wanted to add. As mentioned, these are not intended to part of Cat 2 of the contest. The members of the cabal were always intended to be portrayed by CMF series 19 Fright Knight (Count of the Frightening Stars) and series 22 Night Protector (Countess of the Enchanting Moon). So far these two are my top favorites out of all of the CMF so I really want to incorporate them into the theme. Since Stud.io doesn't have the prints or the very parts themselves, I had to use placeholders for the cabal members which is why they looked pretty raw. While I've mentioned that there are more members of the cabal, I have no idea what they are going to be. Maybe if CMF cooks up another fantasy minifigure as cool as these two, another one will join the roster.

    [CATC] The Great Filter

I think you nailed that pretty nicely in the horror aspect, while the Space Bugs does seem to have world-ending capabilities, they are definitely to be toned down for obvious reasons. The vibe the Finality gives are pretty dark with a slight garnish of imminent despair with the way you put them. That also does reminds me of a story on r/nosleep (a subreddit for horror stories.) I remember a story where a giant space plant would invade various solar systems, growing its way into the system's sun for light. No civilization was able to stop it despite having advanced technologies in an extremely higher scope than what planet Earth had.

    [CATC] Time's champions

I don't think I have seen Lego doing Gnomes (to my awareness) so this pretty cool! I really like the look of the Time Machine

    [CATC] The Great Filter

Both sets looks dope! I like the look of the Legionnaire Transport. While I don't play the game title, for some reason this theme is giving me a bit of Halo vibes. The Final Ends sounds like they'll definitely top the Space Bugs from Galaxy Squad in terms of active threats!

    [CatC] Enchanted Forest

I dig the Cat Warriors! They seem like a faction that you don't want to mess with

    [CaTC] Mission: Lazarus

Oh man, the builds looks so nice here, love the Gates of Asthar! Combining Babylon designs with space explorations is a really unique idea! Furthermore, this also does feel more of a different but modern take on the Life on Mars concept. I didn't initially notice that the Naggyy has a giant eye for a face. When the final bigger image revealed that, it gave me a tiny shock :P But I do like that concept for an alien

[CONTEST] Eurobricks Create a Theme Contest - Rules & Discussion

Oh yeah! I'm def looking forward to the voting phase too, that's the second half of the fun haha! Quite a good number of really cool entries and concepts here

    [CATC] Paladins

Based on a couple past contests I've entered, one did specifically mentioned that you're not allowed to vote for you entry. So hopefully that rule would be implemented for this one or at least specifically mentioned. But yeah, I definitely agree that the idea of being able to vote for yourself would generally be already weird.
  16. JJ Tong (zfogshooterz)

    [CATC] Monster Racers

Oh this is very nice, I really like how whimsical this is. And yeah, like Agent Kallus, the Pumpkin and Mummy karts are my top faves too But overall, I just love everything about this!
  17. JJ Tong (zfogshooterz)

    [CATC] Paladins

Same here, Cryptid Hunters will definitely be one of my candidates too! Hopefully the voting system will be similar to past contests where we can also vote for multiple entries too.

    [CaTC] Siegenomicon

So yeah, I've added all the description (may be a little over the top haha) and some additional the images that I've wanted to be in the post. So this entry can now be finally considered complete! Feel free to check them out if you want to. And best of luck to everyone in the contest!

    [CaTC] Siegenomicon

Apologies for the late replies, was working an adding the descriptions for the entry and it was also a busy day for me at the same time. But I appreciate all the replies! Thanks! It all started with the skull build from Minecraft's Pirate Ship Adventures (21152), I did some modifications to the build and went ham with adding all the parts from there haha! I used Chima's legend beast as templates, and did some additional modifications and color overhauls to fit the main set. The vultures has more of a major modifications with the wings but I'm really happy with how wolf turned out. Glad you find them cool! Thanks! Glad you like it! s i e g e r y

    [CATC] Paladins

Ooh, I really like the gimmick of reanimating corpse from the graveyard! The $10 set feels like it would be something Lego would make in the 2000/2010s and I'm definitely down for that. Out of all the small sets I've seen, this (The Noctus Ambush) and Encounter in the Forest from Cryptid Hunters are my favs so far!
  21. JJ Tong (zfogshooterz)

    [CaTC] Isla Mística

As similarly mentioned, I dig the old school vibes! The concept of Millalobo and the Flying Serpent Ships are really nice, especially the choice for his torso. Also, for some reason, I'm actually feeling a little bit of dangerous vibes from the band of villains in the sets haha!
  22. JJ Tong (zfogshooterz)

    [CATC] Edie and Wicker Witches

I gotta say, the Black Wicker Cottage looks really cozy, interior and exterior! The lore is also a nice read too
  23. JJ Tong (zfogshooterz)

    [CaTC] Cryptid Hunters

This definitely feels a great spiritual successor concept to Hidden Side/Monster Fighters! The slightly darker vibe is an interesting touch there, cool job! Also yeah, I do want to give my thanks too. It's because of your entry (Encounter in the Forest, in particular, a really nice set), I was able to keep my head straight and set myself on which idea I should stick with as I was struggling to pick between three different ideas for my entry. I'm really happy with the direction I've gone as the other two ideas had high chances of ending disastrously. Again, thank you and All the Best with the contest!

    LEGO Ninjago 2022

So yeah, I've watched the episodes released so far... And I'm very happy to say that I agree, they are GOOD. I'm pretty satisfied and nicely entertained with them since Master of the Mountain! The trailers were promising and the episodes delivered! The arcs flows very smoothly into each other and that is a massive improvement over Prime Empire. Props to the writers for stepping their game up! Also yeah, I definitely agree with A guy from Somewhere that mass releasing episode isn't the smartest of ideas on Lego's part. There's a big difference between bingewatching episodes and anticipating them weekly which can sometimes fuels the hype. It really adds a lot to the fun. I really wish that instead of releasing the season in regions here and there, Lego would just premiere the episodes in a simulcast format worldwide like how it's done with shorts such as the Virtues of Spinjitzu.
