What about this old slope-piece skirt? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3678bpb033&idColor=11&name=Black Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, Light Bluish Gray Panel Pattern&category=[Slope, Decorated]#T=C&C=11 It was 100% perfect for 2015 Asaaj Ventress (based on 2003's Clone Wars shorts), and although isn't anywhere near as accurate for Morgan Elsbeth, it could at least provide some dynamic texture.

There's some lovely new customs over at Firestartoys.com but oh my goodness their prices have become ridiculous. Their custom helmets cost nearly double what they used to, and at £50.00 there's no way I'd fork out for their new Filoni X-Wing pilot, as lovely as he is. I wish they could have just printed up heads and helmets for individual purchase as part of their custom range of rebel pilot heads and helmets (which haven't had any individual additions to the range in years now), instead of making them only available as part of a ridiculously expensive figure. https://www.firestartoys.com/products/custom-design-minifigure-sw-wolven-wingman.html

    Seriously though... holy wow

    [MOC] Pirate Snubfighter

Very nicely done but also thoroughly disappointing. Disappointing because now I can see what the ship actually looks like, it means the show hasn't just made R-41 Starchasers canon after all... which was what I excitedly thought they were during the episode

[MOC] Minifig Scale UT-60D U-Wing Starfighter

Looks absolutely stunning, incredible work. And I can't go praising your U-Wing without also praising your hangar too, which is magnificent!

Have them however you want them, they're your little minifigures, make them how you prefer :) By the same rationale as you, I've done the exact opposite and have the chef legs on all our white uniformed Imperials, including Thrawn and a random other Grand Admiral I put together, simply because I like the contrast of colours, and because it makes all our white uniformed officers... er, uniform haha. Here's two aboard the officer's lounge in our massively extended Conveyex:

As awesome as Firestar Toys' custom figure is (https://www.firestartoys.com/products/custom-design-minifigure-sw-forge-keeper.html), I just can't justify spending £40.00 on a minifigure, simple as that. However for a few quid from them on 3 custom parts (fur collar, kama and printed arms), was able to vastly improve the official Lego version of the Armourer... I'm hoping FST will eventually sell proper custom arms for the Armourer (as they do for many other Mandalorian figures), but I also have a nagging feeling they won't to ensure interest is maintained in their in-house custom figure that features screen-accurate arms. Star Wars TIE Fighter collection MOC

Fantastic collection, I REALLY like that you've made them in the System retail style with all of the standard play features, rather than the (albeit incredibly impressive) overly realistic ones that so many others produce for display purposes. These prove how easily Lego themselves could produce these classic fighters and makes them feel far more achievable in replicating. Curious though, how come you didn't reference the 2016 Darth Vader's TIE from 75150 in your Advanced build, which I thought was a great little set in the spirit of the Solo TIE Fighter?

Beautifully done. If you ever needed a side by side comparison, this may help to confirm how great a job you did:

Ok well why not just use the blaster that Sabina Wren always came with (Tech will be be coming with one anyway): https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=62885&idColor=11#T=C&C=11

If you’re not a purist then Arealight do the Commando blaster itself. It’s currently readily available from Firestar Toys: https://www.firestartoys.com/Shop/Minifigure-Weapons/Arealight-Guns/41861-Arealight-~-Spec-Ops-Blaster-~-Black.html
  12. Well I finished this around 6 months ago, but I've been just so lazy at getting round to photographing it. So finally here it is, our modified 75217 Conveyex with 6 carriages and 2 locomotives, gave it a windscreen, bulked up the greebling, gave it more detail: Filled out the empty interiors with a simple engine block (admittedly really just to fill it out and remove the interior holes that could be seen all the way through than to give it any major interior detail): Removed the gun turrets, added red-vented hatches, smoothed out the carriages and doorways: Each locomotive has a Conveyex driver in one side and a combat driver in the other side: First carriage - officer's mess with dejarik table (includes Iden Versio in her stormtrooper dress uniform): > Second carriage - cargo hold designed to hold the Imperial cargo containers from 75141 Kanan's Speeder Bike: > > Third carriage - following the death of Dryden Vos, Grand Admiral Thrawn has laid claim to his collection of ancient artefacts, which are being transported to him under elite guard (includes a holocron, a kalikori, ancient Mandalorian armour, the statue of The Dancing Goddess and Xim's Death Head (along with numerous jewels): Fourth carriage - Stormtrooper barracks: Fifth and sixth carriages - infantry, guards, technical crew and rebel prisoners: Full length in all her glory:

Ignoring the questionable wording in this discussion, in answer to the query here's my modified Cara Dune and hair choice (I've shown her before): Hair piece is the black version of this from Firestar Toys, but the black version is currently out of stock: https://www.firestartoys.com/Shop/Minifigure-Parts/Minifigure-Female-Hair/47173-Minifigure-Hair-Short-with-Sweeping-Fringe.html Gun and armour also from Firestar Toys, arms from Simon Baz Green Lantern mini figure and print erased. https://www.firestartoys.com/Shop/Minifigure-Weapons/Brickarms-Guns/11946-Brickarms-~-MG~34-and-Saddle-Drum-~-Black.html https://www.firestartoys.com/Shop/Minifigure-Bodywear/Custom-Design-Minifigure-Pauldrons/38367-Arealight-~-Two-Sided-Pauldron-~-Dark-Blue-Flexible-Plastic.html https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb3740c01&idColor=11#T=C&C=11

I literally had no idea that was a thing!!!! Just ordered one, thank you so much for enlightening me, god this'll make erasing faces and precise prints so much easier, I kept getting a sore wrist from trying to rub one of my son's homework erasers into all the little grooves!

Even the ones based in the USA, there’s one there for $3.94? There's a few other American sellers there too. Well how about Lando's 2009 ROTJ general's torso, which is very similar since it's actually based on the same uniform and tunic style that both characters wore in the movie: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb0610c01&idColor=69#T=S&C=69&O={"color":69,"iconly":0} But forget my advice with the hiker's dual-molded legs, just remembered they're light tan not dark tan, hence why I never used them.

May I ask why you're struggling to find the original Madine torso? It's readily available on Bricklink for very cheap prices from across the globe: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb0609c01&C=69#T=S&C=69&O={"color":69,"iconly":0} Anyway, what about this head and Krennic's hair, and I just used these legs for some added detail with a bit of artistic licence (edited to add - I recommended the hiker's legs for the boots but remembered they're light tan not dark tan, hence why I never used them so forget that advice): Whilst the colours don’t quite match, that actually works surprisingly well in capturing how awkward and fake the real Madine’s hairpiece and beard were haha. Link for the head (I erased the back-print with a pencil eraser): https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3626cpb2343&name=Minifigure, Head Dual Sided, Medium Nougat Eyebrows and Beard with Yellow Highlights, Smile / Fierce Pattern - Hollow Stud&category=[Minifigure, Head]#T=C&C=90 But I just use the sand-blue janitors cap from the CMF on him anyway (I don't need to be reminded of that wig haha), so our rebel fleet officers match those in Battlefront 2:

Captain Kerrill from Star Wars Squadrons Head is Cho Chang from Harry Potter (figured it was best to go with a head designed for an Asian character, not that it really makes any difference) and hair is custom from FST. I know I could do the dual molded boots, but we've still got a fair few imperial officers in the old school Old Dark Grey uniforms for which there are no boots available, so I'd rather they all matched with solid legs and just personally pretend the shades of uniform are different divisions (as with the Rebels tan ones and the ISB white ones) than to have the vintage torsos look too outdated.

The rear by default is such a waste of space, lovely work in the rear bombardier section, I too had also done nearly exactly the same as you:

There’s actually quite a few rebel pilot heads available especially if you’re not a purist. Searching Bricklink for both ”orange visor” and “chin strap” (make sure to use the inverted commas) yields all these options (such as the reverse visor-up version of the two different T-16 pilots that have the same chin strap design as rebel pilots), which for each double sided head results in two different pilot heads: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/search.page?q=“Orange%20visor”#T=P https://www.bricklink.com/v2/search.page?q=“Chin%20strap”#T=A Plus as stated above, if you’re not a purist, Firestar Toys do a fantastic array of 11 other pilot heads: https://www.firestartoys.com/?Query=Rebel+pilot+head&search=Search You can have quite the array of well over 20+ unique pilot faces that can really diversify your squadron. Whether you’ll find one that truly feels like it’s Wedge will be down to your personal opinion but there’s certainly lots of options to keep your pilots varied.

I don't really understand, why don't you just buy the newer helmets to replace them then? Unpopular Opinions related to Lego Star Wars

Clone Wars was a great show (some episodes are rather awful, but it's got an overall quality level of something like Star Trek TNG: some great, a lot of good and some TERRIBLE, but overall, a nice little show that's well worth the investment. But here's an unpopular opinion; I actually agree with you in your first post. I'm a dad who grew up on the OT, I hated the special editions and the prequels but grew to tolerate that new Star Wars era thanks to the Clone Wars as it progressed until I really quite liked it. Didn't mind the sequels and Resistance (the tone and camaraderie mostly, felt the battles were largely awful) but *loved* Rogue One, Solo and The Mandalorian. So the good outweighs the bad and I'm fine with Disney Star Wars; certainly prefer it to Lucas' Prequel and retcon-era Star Wars immensely other than Clone Wars. But when it comes to the Lego, it's a fun hobby for both me and my son. They're his toys that he loves playing with but I modify for him using my love for the franchise and model making. And yes, the Old Republic Troopers, Old Republic Sith troopers, Prequel Clone Army, Imperial Stormtroopers and First Order Stormtroopers are all one big army of "you wear sinister plastic armour with a skull helmet = you're baddies" whilst poorly dressed cotton-clad soldiers with phoenix symbols regardless of whether they're rebels or resistance are all the same army on the side of good. After all, it's his toy room, not a chronological museum, so we have the goodies on one side, baddies on the other; if they look like stormtroopers or evil space monsters, they're bad. If they look like ragtag soldiers and heroic space wizards, they're good. His "crate wars" and "walker assault" battles we have together (usually involves him winning and all the ships he makes me use getting blown to bits whilst I cringe at the rebuilding work involved) would be no fun together if we started getting anal retentive about time frames haha.
