    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

welcome back Courbet ! and glad you were able to reproduce this masterpiece. I remember you were close to do it one year ago when we discussed about it. In a hurry to see the final result !
  3. I’m really excited and happy to share with you the first video from Planet GBC, taking the form of an online magazine. In the video, you will: → Discover GBC → Have an overview of the best GBC modules released over the past weeks → Learn how to build a GBC module from A to Z (get the instructions, buy and order parts you need) and reproduce Sawyer Scissor Lift module → Find and buy GBC balls for your module I hope you will enjoy this video. Don't hesitate to leave comments on this video via this forum thread

    [GBC] Akiyuki Ball Factory

Mega WOooWW Berthil !! Your additions to the module are tremendously awesome, making it just a new masterpiece, not a simple mod from the original I can only imagine how much time it took to re-engineer all this... ultra great work. I'm in a hurry to find time to reproduce yours, reusing the parts from the legacy one ;-)

    lego GBC wheel miniloop

hello, I'm nearly done converting Mini Invisible lift video into LDD. Stay tuned on Planet GBC to get it once released (should be somewhere next week, together with some building instructions in PDF format) To generate nice building instructions from a LDD model, I personaly use bluePrint software: You can download it here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=108346 latest version is v26. the software is really easy and intuitive to use, free, and powerful. With some (hours of) rework of what is nativly generated (to place the bricks in the best order for a building), you can have ultra nice PDF file Polo

    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

hello, Somebody posted a question on Planet GBC I was not fully able to answer: www.planet-gbc.com/?p=1008 The question relates to Archimedes Screw - Type 3 module As the corrugated pipes (purple and black) reference is missing from the BrickStore parts list file, I don't know what is the required length for these hoses. Can somebody who owns the module let me know what is the length required ? (my guess is 12L, corresponding to 12 studs)

    EV3 GBC starter module?

I already answered to your request back in July (28/07 via your Youtube channel) ;-) my answer: hello, no problem, I can reference you and your links on planet GBC ! Just let me know under which nickname (9V system ? other ?) Would be great if you can send me a quick description about you, a picture to illustrate your account (or I can reuse your Youtube icon) and a list of sites you want me to reference (googlePlus, Youtube channel, blog,,,) regards Turbopolofr

    EV3 GBC starter module?

you can try this: http://www.planet-gbc.com/?p=1627 or even this: But I would advice to mix anyway to boost possibilities (GBC modules with building instructions here: http://www.planet-gbc.com/?page_id=79)

    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

thanks Blackbird and Courbet for the building instructions! Job well done once again note: since the forum migration, all the presentation links from the first page of this topic are broken... Looking at the new urls, I have my doubt it will be fixed without a manual change of all the links :-(

    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

You're probably right Courbet. However, the video you shared seems to be a version 2 of Akiyuki Zig Zag Stairs module, if you look at the original one from Akiyuki ( ), there are more similarities with the one Alan Burchill did

    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

there is a video here: from Alan Burchill showing Zig Zag Steps module from Akiyuki. So may be not the exact same mechanism as Akiyuki but something that could serve this track.. (from Alan Burchill video, I have feeling behavior is quite similar) regards

Where do you get your GBC balls?

one useful article (I hope) here: http://www.planet-gbc.com/?page_id=53

    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

They definitely are ! I've tested them (oredered 3x 100 balls) on Bucket Wheel Tower, Spiral StairCase and Ball Factory. Some videos from Frank Meus on youtube are also showing them on other modules. to get the balls, this article should help: http://www.planet-gbc.com/?p=1262

    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

thanks for the link llars! Have your received and tested the balls already ? Do they have roughly the same dimension and weight as the soccer and basket balls ? I'll add the link to Planet GBC in the tutorial concerning balls acquisition: http://www.planet-gbc.com/?p=1262

    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

hi zux, Rebrickable is a more than excellent website but is generalist on Lego building and building instructions, unlike Planet GBC that is exclusively focusing on GBC (and not only related to building instructions). Not all building instructions are present on rebrickable and I have no legitimacy in uploading there building instructions not made by me. I rather have a website that is referencing anything dealing with one GBC module (Rebrickable, BrickStore, links..), giving full credit to the persons that effectively did the job. As you can see for instance here: http://www.planet-gbc.com/?p=417, no need to go on n different websites to collect the information you need about one GBC module. Evrything is in a single page. As far as I know, such "centralizer" website was not existing. Hope you'll like it anyway ;-) thanks for your comment
