My understanding was that the official Lego reveal would occur just after the cmf starts hitting shelves on clearances sometime next spring. It will be revealed in a cryptic instagram post only.

This will come as no surprise to anyone that knows me but...

I ordered one copy when i woke up this morning. Contemplating two or more but seeing as how I haven't seen my Lego room in months except to clean up some basement flooding (and a lot of ruined D2C boxes) I think I'm good if I can find time to put together one at this point. I will say I think I'm entering my second dark age but I couldn't pass up on this set. This is the epitome what licensed D2C sets should be IMO.

You guys joke but I’m pumped about the duplo set. Been waiting for a female duplo superhero for the kiddos and they love Spider-Man.

I hope we get an accurate Shocker in the DB. I’d consider that a new villain even though technically it’s not.

Just a reminder but I believe that it has been hinted by our trusted sources that there may be other outlets for D+ characters/costumes that are not exclusively D+ sets or the CMF; at least that's how I took it.

I'm aware, but as long as Lego doesn't market it that way I see no liability issue on their end; unless of course they think the inclusion of it alone would prompt any non-AFOL to try it and then complain which is entirely possible. Still, for my own very selfish reasons it would have been nice; or just to have the the space squad have 'pristine benny' version.

I really wish they would have done a pristine classic space print on the backside of Benny's torso for all releases. It would be covered by the airtanks anyway and would give anyone the option (especially with the newer unbroken blue helmet) to way more easily make a nearly identical CS blue spaceman.

I think a second building w/ Nelson and Murdock and/or Alias Investigations Office would be a good fit. More than that though I think a first floor jewelry store/bank/museum for Black Cat (or the other villains for that matter) to rob would be a nice.

Spiderman, Black Cat, Punisher, Daredevil, Kingpin, Jessica Jones, Nick Cage, Electra, Iron Fist, Mary Jane, Jonah, Red Hand Ninja? I'd take those 12 in the Bugle.

If true that the Advent Calendar includes a Hall of Armor build/s could be more microfig armors that go with the 76167 Iron Man Armory, which would be cool.

I know you can't say it but we all know the big fig is Venom. With Venomized Black Widow, Venomized Thor, Venomized Cap, Venomized Thanos (small fig), Venomized Box, Venomized instructions, Venomized bags and Venomized sticker sheet, also, normal Korg.

I bought it when it came out but it comes within the plastic the instructions are in so I’d imagine it is for the life of the set.

Looks good; I actually just bought that set (thought it still isn't here) as its one of the few TLNM sets still able to be gotten at MSRP for the boat.

Thanks for the images. I prefer asymmetric stuff but the center portion does look nice mirrored. I'm through the ice cream shop building and everything feels a little less secure than I was hoping for though with the progression of build techniques for aesthetics I guess its to be expected. My ultimate goal is a 3 baseplate by 6 baseplate layout that showcases them all with separate remote islands that incorporate the temple portion, the ideas treehouse (with heavy mods), the temple fair and spring lantern festivals, and perhaps the bonsai tree/s if I ever get them. Need some additional boats as well to scale between destiny's bounty and the small single person boats.

Agreed, great review. I just finally put together the Docks, rebuilt the TLNM Destiny Bounty again and got the City out of storage. This is next up on my build list and I'm super pumped. I think another Ninjago City expansion is entirely dependent on how well this sells; I'm hoping it sells great because just going back over the docks and city and images of this there are so many options/opportunities for expansion.

Having built both and the fact that the going rate for Ninjago city used is at about 450 I’d say get it and put it together at least; then go from there. Diagon Alley was a good build but the Ninjago City sets have been great IMO and I’m indifferent to Ninjago as a whole.

This makes sense; although having no idea of production numbers and demand relative to similar licensed products it really is hard to gauge with any certainty. I did notice that the max quantity on this was two and I believe some other recent large releases were three but I'm also surprised by it. I really hope it sells well enough to warrant at least one more expansion of 32x32 footprint.

I received my set Monday but am going back to put together or reassembling City, Docks, and Destiny's Bounty first before this one. I am still baffled by the way this set was released; minimal fanfare, no early access to reviews for the main sites I frequent (and still no reviews from them) or seemingly early reviews from anyone. I may be unable to see something obvious since I'm viewing through the lens of an AFOL but seeing as how Ninjago City is regularly regarded as one of the best sets, if not THE best set of all time, the release of a very close counterpart in this way is so so weird. Aside from the normal fear of knockoffs my only suspicion would be intentional underplaying of this set so that it didn't sell out in minutes and get massive blowback from people screaming OOS or similarly some other PR concern that I'm missing. Strangest release of a set over $150 I can recall.

If I were making a wishlist for D2C sets that are highly unlikely I'd put on a Doom Castle, X-Mansion, Fisk Building, scaled up Sentinal/s, Galactus. However I think The Daily Bugle and Avengers Tower are much more likely. Whatever it is I certainly hope it is minifig scale.
