MOC - The Diamon Shop (a narrow modular)

Thank you for the nice comments! Here is another set of pictures of the modular next to some other buildings. Hopefully I can present these modulars to you in a nicer setting when I've finally decided on a layout for my town. Chroute

MOC: Barnes & Noble / Starbucks Store

This is a very nice MOC! And as others have noted before me: beautiful colour scheme!
  3. I would like to present my newest MOC to you, The Diamond Shop. This a narrow modular (8×32). It’s also a bit shorter (if you exclude the sunhouse which is located at the back). The reason for this is a shortage of sand coloured bricks. (Also my apologies for the quality of the photo’s, I’ve had to make do with an old camera which isn’t capable of very clear pictures.) Here are some more pictures of the front: And the back: The following pictures show the ground floor, first floor and second floor. As you can imagine, I had very little space to work with, so the interior that I’ve fitted in is reasonably crammed. I hope you like it and I look forward to your comments! Chroute I've just noticed a mistake in the topic title. It says "Diamon" while it should be "Diamond". I don't know how to edit the title so my apologies for this mistake!

    Modular Madness

I have a question about combining buildings that are narrower than 32 studs and combining them as a set on a 32×32 base plate. I am aware that clarification has been given regarding two 16×32 buildings combined as one set. Just to be on the safe side, I am curious whether it is also allowed to include a 8×32 modular. I have just finished one recently and I believe it fits in with the other modulars and also gives a nice variety in the street. Once again, I'm sorry if this specific question has been answered before (I have checked the thread and the rules, but I might have overlooked something).

    MOC : The BookShop (Modular)

Very nice MOC! The interior and the exterior are both superb! The details on the arches are beautiful and it's also nice to see that you did something with the back of the building, the balcony is a nice touch.

    MOC : The school (modular)

I love it! It's a great addition to the modular series from TLG and would nicely fit in any town. The courtyard is a great way to incorporate some outside space for the schoolkids into a street. Very nice colours and brilliant windows at the side. The door in the corner is also very beautiful. The chemistry classroom with the mad professor is a very nice touch!

    MOC: Yellow town house

B-RV-14D It's been quiet a while since I've posted something, but I now present my yellow MOC to you . I built this house about a year ago, but I've never got around to taking pictures of it and I've recently updated the interior. Here it is: Even though I'm not really a fan of yellow I decided it was time to turn my two beach houses from TLG into a creation of my own. The next pictures show the back and the front of the house in a little bit more detail. The space inside the building is very small so the interior is a little bit crammed. I tried to include everything you need in a home. There is one major flaw, I had to leave the staircases out in order to fit in all the other things that you see now. The ground floor includes a kitchen, a dining area and a lounging area: The first floor has a tiny bathroom (with a sink, toilet and shower), and the rest is a sort of library/study. There is also a door to the balcony at the back of the house. Finally we have the second floor where the master bedroom (the only bedroom actually, due to the limited space) is situated. I also have two pictures where you can see the view when you look through the two doors of the ground floor: I hope you like and I look forward to hearing your comments and ideas for improvement. MOC: modular police station

Thanks again for the nice comments! I'm sorry, I haven't got either of those at the moment. Maybe something for the future in which case I'll post it in this topic. I can't promise anything though.

    MOC: modular police station

Thank you for all your nice comments! I totally agree with you on that one. But I had to work with very little space so I think this was the best solution. it did take up a lot of bricks. I bought the fire brigade and the lego emporium for a second time to build new modulars. It probably isn't the cheapest way... anyway this is the first modular I built from those two sets combined.
