I know everyone's still settling in with the first batch, but how about a sneak peek at the second wave? Amazon Canada has some pictures available and I can post them on here if anyone's interested — unless the second wave has already been covered enough with footage and promotional imagery? Most of the ones I've seen are clean renders of the shots you're probably seen before, but I did find at least one variation. This one's for 41515 Kraw: Compare with the official look:

These are great! Fishy Head is clever, and I like the Zaptor x Vulk combo as a loose variation. Definitely makes me want to come up with my own unique creations, so thanks for that! -
The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Fritzy replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't want to look through preceding pages for fear of spoilers, but some renders have surfaced on the upcoming LEGO Movie sets courtesy of Amazon Canada and I wanted to share them with everyone. It's possible these have been posted already. Super Secret Police Dropship: Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! Emmet's Construct-o-Mech- 2626 replies

In case anyone's interested, Amazon UK has two renders of the upcoming Turtles Lair. Not a major development, but still. I believe images for the Fire Emergency set were shared earlier in the thread, but here they are just in case:

I'd be happy to! I'll link to what hasn't already been shown. Starblaster Showdown: Knowhere Escape Mission: Milano Spaceship Rescue: And in case anyone wants them, here are some renders from the X-Men set:

Wow. Great timing! Thanks for sharing this great find! Now that I'm seeing the renders up-close, the minifig printing looks well done. Pleased to see the two sets I was most interested in, and the Starblaster Showdown definitely has my attention. I'll likely be getting that one. But the Knowhere Escape Mission set looks promising, too. Wasn't expecting to be so interested in these. About the Sentinel set, I didn't realize there was a tool chest behind Wolverine's seat. So that's new for me. It looks like he does! Look at the fifth image here: http://www.amazon.ca/LEGO-Superheroes-Knowhere-Mission-Building/dp/B00IRZT330 Reminds me of the Furty minifig from the Chima line.

Are you referring to this? http://www.geeksugar.com/photo-gallery/34155528/Lego-Ultra-Agents-Mission-HQ

Thanks for sharing. I'm liking the representation on the minifigs, though I'll need to see them up close to better gauge their detailing. Hopefully we'll get shots or footage of the other two sets soon. I'm more interested in those.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Fritzy replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Glad to hear its worth checking out — that seems to be the consensus from what I've seen thus far. I've been going back and forth trying to decide if I should pick it up. It looks aesthetically pleasing and I've been wanting a building set to balance out the vehicles, but my gripe is the price here in Canada. Redeeming VIP Points may help me bring down the cost, but at the same time there are double points this month so I have that to consider. -

How do you feel about it in terms of value? How does it rank against other TMNT sets you've tried (if any)? Once the movie hype subsides and if it turns out that the sets aren't attracting enough sales, then yeah, it's reasonable to expect these to be discounted. Potentially sooner than the norm, too. -
Been wondering this also. I'm interested in picking up the first lair, but if it's about to be phased out then I should hold out for a price reduction.

I picked up one of the Kreon minifigs based on your recommendation, TC. I'll let you know what I think!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Fritzy replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
TMNT hub is working properly now and I'm able to view the alternate builds. The first combo one (Mutation + Sky Strike) doesn't seem like much, but the ones for the Turtle Sub and Shredder's Lair look promising. Neither sway me into further wanting these two sets, though — I already do, actually, but the Canadian prices are enough to hold me back. Hopefully they offer alternative instructions for the movie sets, too. -
Ah, so I'm not the only one.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Fritzy replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Glad I could share these with everyone and spark some discussion. I'm liking the look of the Turtle Van, though the (Canadian) price still puts me off. And I'm inclined to agree with the person who said the Big Rig is generic. When closed, it looks bland to me, and it demands that the interior be the hero. That might be why the set comes with so many (relatively speaking) components. I don't know... Even with the leaked image where the interior is shown, I'm not sold on this set whatsoever. Karai looks good, though. Ugh. Tell me about it. The gouging is crazy. -

No jokes here. Big Rig Snow Getaway: http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/kids/toys/79116-lego-tmnt-big-rig/673419212182-item.html Turtle Van Takedown: http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/kids/toys/79115-lego-tmnt-turtle-van/673419212175-item.html Before anyone asks, the Turtle Lair Invasion shots are incorrect. Might want to save the pictures in case they get taken down. -
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion

I'd love to see them but the site's awfully screwy right now. At least for me. Would someone be willing to take screen captures and/or provide links to the instructions if available? On another note, I stumbled upon two clean boxarts (with accompanying component shots) for the upcoming TMNT (or NT) movie wave. Have these already been circulated? Asking in case this is new. -
Seeing as the Ghostbusters set is coming in two months, is there any chance it could be the Exo Suit? I guess I should first ask if CUUSOO projects are eligible for a promotion like this.

In case you're serious: It's real.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Fritzy replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Good to know. That might actually help LEGO sell more alongside the build-up to the film. As an FYI to anyone who's been keeping tabs for the online listings, it looks like they're starting to activate or load the new sets into the database. Not all are available yet — except in NZ, which has everything up including Shredder's Lair Rescue. -
I didn't even realize it came with a minifigure until a few days ago. There's no mention of it in the most recent catalogue, so that's my excuse for not knowing before.
-
Now I'm also wondering the same thing. If R2-D2 is on its way out, that would change things.
-
Thanks for relaying that. Hoping this is the case. I'm curious to see how many sets will be affected and by how much.
-
Thanks for chiming in. I'm from Canada, so I wonder if things might be more in my favour than Europe (although we already have markup to contend with)?
