We are looking for an experienced illustrator with a keen interest in the LEGO Group's products. This is a unique opportunity to become part of the team responsible for creating LEGO Characters and product graphics on LEGO Models from start to finish.

Help develop our future designs

You will take part in the development of graphics for one of our product lines. As such, you will join a group of 29 dedicated Graphic Designers at the heart of the organisation in Billund, Denmark where all LEGO Models sold worldwide are created.

- As Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for developing characters, decorations and stickers for models, from idea to final technical drawings

- You will be in charge of creating all graphic work in vector format and finalising it for production

- You make sure to maintain the LEGO Group's graphic identity within the LEGO Products

- You contribute with visualisation of own and others' ideas as part of a few annual concept development sessions

- You collaborate with a vast variety of departments with many different stakeholders throughout the development process. These include creative leaders and model designers as well as project managers, project coordinators, external partners, etc.

Trusted to perform

As part of the LEGO Group, you will join a global family where collaboration and creativity are cornerstones. By combining your experience and imagination, we trust you to help us find the best solutions for our brand and help further develop our visual profile.

Experienced, passionate and creative illustrator

It is important that you are passionate about designing for our target group - girls and boys. Ideally, your areas of interest include some of the following: Car or transportation design, character design or current pop culture trends for boys and for girls. Thus, to succeed in this position, you:

- Are an experienced illustrator and master several different styles, both with your excellent freehand sketching and professional rendering skills

- Are an experienced user of Adobe Illustrator, and, as you will be working in an international environment, spoken and written English is a prerequisite

- Are a team player as you will be seated in an open project environment. At the same time, you are able to work independently, structure your work day and manage and plan your own time and the many deadlines you get throughout the entire development process

- Thrive in an informal, innovative and international environment where you will meet lots of variety in your daily work, requiring both a creative and technical mind-set

Join the global family of LEGO

In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family and a connected community. We look very much forward to reading your application - please use the APPLY NOW button above or below, and please remember to attach your application and a current CV. Please also include a portfolio of your work (only specific projects relevant for the LEGO Group). If you would like to know more about the position, please call Director Mette Bundgaard Nielsen, Graphic Design Team, on +45 79 50 45 26 or Design Manager Jakob Liesenfeld at +45 52 34 25 59.

Bringing it to life

"Our work and products have global reach and impact. This is a unique opportunity to work creatively with LEGO Characters and decorations that will ultimately reach children across the world," says Mette.

Yeah, CopMike, but that's not what he's talking about. He's talking about the page you get to if you click the "Ansøg nu" (Apply Now) button on the right hand side of the application page. That is, indeed, all in Danish. Which is weird.

Yes, but as most LEGO.com pages there is a region button in the top corner.

The link is to the Danish site - if you switch it, then you get a different language.

For example this is the US site:

http://www.lego.com/en-us/jobs/jobdescriptionpage?title=Designer+-+freehand+illustrations+and+character+graphics&id=52136942

Very much like the region setting on for example S@H, isn't it?

Whaddyaknow, there is! I think what confused us is that the original link that was posted on an international site, by a Belgian moderator, was in Danish :)
