Track elements

Hello Lego fellows! Sorry for opening a new topic, but I couldn't figure out where to ask this.

I'm trying to find these two parts: Part 3711 Technic, Link Chain and Part 3873 Technic, Link Tread

I don't know if the first one exists in LDD, but I saw the second one in this topic.

I have unlocked LDD extended, but I just can't find them. I'm a n00b, so forgive me for this.

I don't think they are there! Only the new tracks are there. Just try LDraw and some appropriate editor (Bricksmith e.g.)

When I can't find a certain piece in LDD, I find out what sets it has appeared in (Bricklink), then check the Official Sets Made in LDD Topic, I can then download the file and copy ad paste the piece into my model. So the wider track piece appears in 8259 Mini Bulldozer. I have no idea about the smaller 'chain' piece.

Search 3873 for the track and 64819 for the chain link.

This is in extended mode.

The small Technic Link part you want is in LDD Extended Mode. In Bricklink, it's Part 3711. Open up the program, then do a search in the top-left for the word "link". You will see the "CHAIN LINK M=1" part on the 8th row of the search results box.
