Hello everyone!

So I play an old game called Descent, and I'm very active in a port project for it called DXX-Rebirth. The main ship in the game Descent is a pyro-gx, and while googling the other day I came across this: Pyro-GX . Descent

That is a BEAUTIFUL re-creation of the ship in Legos. Now I had the wonderful idea of building a level set for the game, that is totally built out of Legos. This CAN be done, but I'd need the robots, ships and weapons all built out of Legos. I, sadly, only tinker with Legos (and by extension LDD, and LDraw) on occasion so I'm not very good at it. I was wondering if there was anyone here who would like to take on the challenge of building the items out of legos in LDD.

Sadly the person who build that pyro, no longer has it constructed, so he can't help me. Could any of you build it for me? And if you'd like, there are a good many robots and weapons (all of which should be easily translatable to legos) which I would need to be built.

Would any of you like to help?

Thanks!!

P.S. I said "built in LDD"...that's not technically true, because I'd need them in LDraw to use LeoCAD to export to the right format. But you can export to LDraw pretty accurately right?

Here's the original post about it in the DXX-Rebirth forum: http://www.dxx-rebirth.com/frm/showthread.php?tid=921 (My whole grand scheme is in post #8)

I loved that game! One of the first games I ever played, along with the super awesome off-shoot descent: freespace. That MOC is an excellent take on the ship. I know for a fact however that the techniques used are not possible in LDD, so if you'd want an accurate recreation it would have to be done in LDraw or SR3D builder. To be honest, I am not good in either of those, but I'd also love to see this be turned into a whole set of Lego creations

I put my vote in!

If I have the time, I might give a try to recreating that ship in SR3D builder, or LDraw if I can ever figure that program out

Thank y'all both VERY much!! :)

@alienwar9: If you'd like to play Descent again, you can get both 1 & 2 for $5.99 at gog.com :) Then it'll work on modern computers with DXX-Rebirth...I'm on both forums (GOG and Rebirth), so if you decide to, give me a holler! ;)

Thank you very much!! It looks awesome!!! :)

Just one thing (And shoot me if it sounds like I'm being really picky or something, seeing as how I didn't actually do the work myself) But from the top view, the main body looks kind of skinny. Here's the original (non-LEGO) pyro... http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/7/6094/33913.jpg Do you think you could fatten it out just a little bit?

Even if you don't want to, thank you SO much!! I'm excited!! I'll send you a video of your pyro being used in-game when it's ready! :)

EDIT: Then again...The more I look at it, the more I like it like it is! Lol! It looks sleeker. :)
