fredde Posted February 27, 2011 This is the barrauda light assault carrier. Designed for deploying groups of mechs as well as fending of other capitalships. The primary armament of the barracuda is 5 railguns 4 in double turrets and one in a rear single turret. The railguns accelerate a slug to fractions of lightspeed thus creating enourmous damage to targets, there are several accounts of ships being completely disabled due t the shockwave the slug creates as it travels thru the air the crew simply gets liquified. severalengines aid the ship in manouvering but the primary movement comes from inertial drives. The topside platform holds a recon uav. often during missions these uavs play key role in scouting the combat arena. The fron with a heavily reinforced bridge window. Venting area and sensors. by opening one of the sidepanels a cargo room is revealed. along with the ships marine complement. The other pod holds a recovery vehicle woooo recovery vehicle! The bridge were make it so is an integral part of any conversation. A clear view of well nothing. aswell as the different crewmembers. Captain blue gives a rallying speech. This will propably house some kind of dropship in the future but for now its an engineroom. Now for the good stuff! Mechs! These guys are goshawk mark IIs they are smaller more versatile, and thanks to advanced composite armor and shields just as hard to kill! The cavernous hangar for all your storing needs! The other side also holds a pair of goshawk mark IIs these guys are equipped with advanced AI that helps immensly in combat, they are reportedly rather talkative spending hours discussing among themselves which way is better to vapourize their enemies or what movie should be played on the holonetwork in the ship. A beam lance and a laserrifle, because your worth it Two mechsized macineguns and a horrible picture. just a size comparison. yet another look at the ship which is 109 studs long and has a very well achieved look with the panels i must say. Primary sensor tower These are all the weapons a goshawk mark II can use. just mix and match! A z-46 plasma cannon which solved the z-45s problem of exploding while overheated,.....this one just melts! This config a heavy antitank bazooka and antimaterial rifle makes tanks wet their pants,if they had pants....and could wet themself. And a Sniper cannon with a range of well line of sight basicly. Thats all folks my second SHIP feedback is appreciated!
Plastemaurer Posted February 27, 2011 Great ship, fredde. I really like the riveted look of the armor plates. And the interiour, like the busy bridge and the ready room of the marines, is just great. Also, the mechs are well designed and I like the idea, and your realization, of the UAV. Very well done. PM
CptMugwash Posted February 27, 2011 I thought this was a bit of a coincidence as I spotted another Barracuda class ship on MOCpages here. Are these from a movie or just a coincidence? Cool ship btw Cheers CptMugwash

XimenaPaulina Posted February 28, 2011 Very nice ship fredde, I've seen some of your works before and I must say I really like the small mechsize weapons that you included in this ship. I'd have to agree the riveted finish of the exterior is quite unique and effective look.

Legostein Posted March 1, 2011 Hello! A nice design of a big starship! It's great to see that's there's an interior, especially the bridge looks good with the trans-light-blue bricks. Cheers, ~ Christopher
