Importing LDraw parts in Stud.io

Recommended Posts

With the help of Stud.io parts designer I tried to create new parts.

I placed the LDraw files  with the submodels in the apropiate folders.

The software showed them correctl;y, but when exported to Stud.io the new parts do not show.

What did i do wrong?

@JunkstyleGioI don't know exactly what's wrong, but I faced similar issues. What works for me is

- place the Ldraw parts in CustomParts folder

- Open part designer and close welcome screen

- File -> open custom parts, select the part you want to edit.

- add connectivity.

- File -> Save.

The problem is that Studio botches the LDraw parts, removing primitives, etc. I corrected that by copying again LDraw files in CustomParts folder. This works fine for added connectivity, but I suspect this might not work if your purpose is to add decals.

Honestly the part designer is all magic. I tried to ask about this as well because sharing parts from one computer to the other doesnt seem to work either. I would just use the "export to studio" button and let it do its thing

@Philo Yes.

I rebuild the new model of CleansupGood and now i want to get the new wheelarch in to the model, so I guess connectivity is what i want.

Hello.

Are the new small wheelarch parts in studio?

If not, where would I get the LDraw part and how do I get it into studio?

Thanks in advance.

The small archesare new parts in Stud.Io.. Just re-install Stud.io and you can find them in the new parts and Technic Finishing tabs..
