Blacktron landing pad

Recommended Posts

As I can not see clearly from the pictures, what does the lettering in the four quadrants say?

Thank you 3D LEGO, The markings denote the pad's designation depending on a vessel's approach, written in a absrtact brick-font to look spacey. They say 'Alpha' 1R, 'Beta' 2C, 'Gamma' 1L and 'Delta' 1C.

LucByard,

Thanks for the clarification. Nice little touch denoting approach vectors as you have indicated.

Although it's not fully finished yet, it's close enough for display:

The visitors seemed to love it and it's been my best event yet.

Next to do is the service deck suspended between the legs.

Nice, love the structure of the surface and so many great detail in the base itself.

I always tend to hear 'all your base are belong to us' when I see a Blacktron build... :sweet:

Incredibly visually striking MOC. The more muted base really helps the whole landing pad "pop" and shows off the great color scheme.

Great landing pad, I like the hexagonal shape and the huge B letter in the middle!

Thank you (it's octagonal though ; )

When I do a formal photo shoot with it, I'll take out the centre section so you can see how the design was done.

Oops! I must have missed couple of angles

Look forward to it, I'm always into some interesting building techniques!

Well it took me long enough but I finally organised some formal shots. Here's the first couple and I'll be adding more later to detail all of the different modules that make up the perimeter and the Aerial Intruder.
