The old antenna/control rod pieces come to my mind.

I've seen those on similar sized MOCs before. They are too short and thick. I think it looks better without whiskers than having ones that don't look right.

I have to agree with MAB here. But if we do want whiskers, it's probably the best option we got (unless you wanna do for a non-Lego solution).

They don't come in white - time for a recolour - and would depend a lot on how they're attached, but I wonder how the foil / épée piece would look.

Might work, if you somehow manage to fit those bases next to each other. I don't think I could settle with 1-2 whiskers only.
Rope might work if it's stiff enough to stay mostly horizontal.

Think this is one of those few situations where I would consider a non-Lego solution, like some thin wires with the right stiffness.

I'm quite shocked that no one's talking about the 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine set except on the themed forums for discussing the figures. But nothing about the machine itself. Also, the set was announced last week and comes out this sunday. Since then, there have been absolutely no reviews anywhere online. Three days before release, that's unprecedented, isn't it?

It’s official… X-files will be a Lego set! Not sure where to post this great news.

To answer your question first: This Threat ;). (Well or an own)

As for the voting results: The other set that won the vote is Wallace and Gromit, would have hoped for Mr.Bean, especially since it is a neat small set. For X-Files, it is definitely my favourite of the ones you could vote for but on the other hand it is also a very big model, hence it will be another big and expensive set - moulders office would have been enough for me honestly,

Aw the Wallace and Gromit one is cute! I admit I hadn't followed that particular vote very closely. But I remember watching Wallace and Gromit on VHS when I was a very tiny kid!

Two more Ideas sets revealed!

From the 'GWP of your Dreams Contest': 40788 Friendly Snails is a 264-piece set will be a GWP at LEGO.com from the 1st of July, free when you spend in excess of US$160 / £145 / €160.

40789-1.jpg?202505261138

From the 'Exploring the Cosmos' challenge, 40789 Flying Moon Car has 211 parts, and will be a LEGO Insiders Reward worth 2,500 Insiders Points. It will be available on July 1st.

Thoughts? Personally, I prefer the moon car, but am sad it is a Insiders exclusive. I guess I'll have to part it out and make it that way...

My interest in the moon car has dropped to zero. Way to ruin the minifigs with those terrible "helmets" and bald heads. I guess the TLG penny pinching department wins again, and Lego fans lose.

Lego never fails to make the official sets worse than the original submissions.

I like it. Yes, the helmets are a bit odd, and I'm not a fan of the torsos being used but I don't care about it that much. To me, minifigures are a secondary consideration of the set. The rest seems extremely faithful to the original model and I think it looks terrific. Easier access to it would be appreciated, but LEGO has been saying for a couple of years that they are going to do more of this. The lack of exclusive parts/prints is great though, making it a lot easier to part together.

Why?!
Are you out of points? I thought it would be easier for most people to get a insider reward than another GWP you must spend a ton of money to get?

I never have enough points for things like this. I don't buy a lot of Lego sets anymore - just parts.

Personally, for points you always have to spend extra "money" for them, while as a GWP you get them for a purchase you would do anyways - in the end it depends on the sets you want to get - and for this year there are still some exclusives on my list that are going to retire this year - but so far none of the GWPs really were a must have to me.

OK, I also buy mostly PAB directly from Lego these days, but I have saved up points for years now waiting for something worth spending them on in the reward centre and that do not happen a lot:shrug_oh_well:

Yes that is right after you have triggered a reward the clock is ticking, so you better have something to buy in the next couple of months:wacko:

The upcoming set 21359 Italian Riviera looks really nice. It's colorful, cosy and picturesque.

I'm looking forward to see more details of the set. The buildings look to open up just like the modular buildings.

I can't wait to order mine!
