Kozikyo86 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I haven't been here for a while, but I spent many months building... IMPERIAL STAR DESTROYER Construction on this project began in 2020... but I abandoned it after a few weeks. The right parts didn't exist, I built it in LDD and ran into some difficulties myself. After more than five years, I restarted the file and reattached the first bricks in November 2025... There's a lot to discuss, so I encourage you to watch the video. Below are the key details: - 5910 parts - 69.4 cm long - It's still a playset! But UCS quality - It has an interior and minifigures - It's heavy, but you can lift it without a problem - A sturdy shelf will come in handy ;) - It can hold 10 minifigures, or more if you like - I built it for 7 months - The parts cost around 600 EUR, but maybe less if you order from PaB - I use red and yellow bricks in the instructions - it's any color. - I use stickers from the set 75394 (bricklink number 75394stk01) My ISD has a full interior including Command Bridge: The instructions are available! There are two ways to get one: rebrickable (link below) or directly from me (a bit cheaper). https://reb.li/m/269239 You will find all the details and answers in the video below: Quote
lowlead Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Fantastic destroyer all around! Great presentation and photography as well. • Impressed with the thought behind the design - from the fold back panels to the hidden carry handle. Very clever. • Your persistence paid off with the main drive engine design. Great detail surrounding the drive engines as well. The disc shooter bricks work really well for detail, too. • The stand design is pefect - simple and functional. All this with a full interior. What's not to like??! As you mentioned, this is a perfect option when display space is limited. Nicely done, thanks for posting this! Quote
betaplayer Posted July 12 Posted July 12 I really like this scale. UCS sets usually are unpractically sized,l and don't allow any actual play. This is perfect though. Quote
Feuer Zug Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Solid ISD build. Perfect blend of accuracy and details, while still having play features. Great work! Quote

That's just how it is! :) Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I'm glad you like MOC! I think I'll be converting this ISD into Thrawn's version early next year. I just need to buy a torch of gold bricks... another photo from a slightly different perspective: Quote
Ben S Posted July 16 Posted July 16 This is by far the best ISD I have ever seen! Congratulations I tend to take apart my SW sets, but I might consider building this one... It could be a great way to stash so many grey bricks lol Need to find the space first, seems like a pretty big model Quote
free-builder Posted July 23 Posted July 23 It is perfect, both inside and out. Thank you for a wonderful piece of work. Quote
