Yes:).

This "new idea" (shouldn't be new since once upon a time Technic sets were intended to be modified and even had a B-model...) will have the consequence that in a few years, there will be a lot of incomplete used 42236 sets to be sold - because it will be hard for most customers to keep the "alternative parts" with the original set.

Average selling page for 42236:).

Selling the 42236 for scrap. Played really hard, over 100000h of play time. Lot of missing and broken bits. Not safe to play or drive with;).

One thing I can't understand is behind of front wheel. Seems like this set use 30.4x20 wheel on both front and rear. Not using 30x14 wheel on front unlike previous car transporter gang cars.

Considering that, that dark blue axle need to least 3.5L length with stop on one end.

New parts

Some kind of dark blue axle used on front wheel. I think it is 3.5L with end stop.

56145 wheel 30.4x20 in magenta is new.

7101 panel 2x5 in dark blue is new.

32449 liftarm 1x4 thin in dark blue is new.

10197 technic pin connector hub with 2 perpendicular axles in dark blue is new.

42531 mudguard 9x2x3 in dark blue is new.

69729 tile 2x6 in magenta is new.

7684 beam 1x6x2 diagonal in dark blue is new.

Rare parts

80286 beam quarter circle 2x5 in dark blue is rare - last release is 2023, 2 in 1 set.

6536  Technic Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 1x2 in dark blue is rare - last release is 2024, 28 in 4 set.

22961 pin hole with 1L axle in dark blue is rare - last release is 2023, 10 in 1 set.

This is end I think?

That already happened for a couple of other Lego sets. The one that came to my mind is the Bonsai tree set. Most people tend to just built the green version and sell the pink frogs.

Yeah, I think this new dark blue part is an axle 3.5L with end stop.

The end stop makes it not as useful but it's better than nothing.

It keeps the wheel held on in this case.

I guess they couldn't use 4.5L axle with stop for the front,

but then why not just use a 3L axle with stop or a friction-less axle pin 3L in LBG?

And my second thought about that axle, why dark blue and not white or some other color?

I think its so its hard to see like black, but they didn't want to make it in black so it wouldn't get confused with other parts

.I'm actually for the color because it can look like black in low light or far away

Did you see the magenta beam in the front trunk?

Those magenta colors are stickered unfortanetly on top of a dark blue beam on the hood:/.

I think he means under the hood, if you look at the last pic in your first post of this topic, showing the backside of the box, the lower left corner shows the car with the hood open and there's a magenta(?) liftarm on each side of the engine.
