-DoNe- Posted March 16 Posted March 16 After a few months of work my first Star Wars MOC since 2014 is finally finished. Having been away from the Star Wars universe for such a long time it was a blast to try my hands on this iconic location. The build is scaled too both incorporate a high level of detail without going to big to the point of not being able to finish it. For this build I also went ahead and designed a custom X-Wing and Y-Wing as I needed both vehicles to be at a smaller scale than minifigure scale so not to dwarf the temple. The temple itself features a highly detailed exterior and full interior complete with hangar bay large enough to fit the Y-Wing or the X-wing. Daiman Posted March 16 Posted March 16 A dream build for sure, it's going to take over the coffee table... Quote
Feuer Zug Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Epic build. Great work incorporating all the details. The X-Wing and Y-Wing still look good and the scale isn't off much. Brick ON! Quote

Johnny1360 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I really like this, the snot walls, the seamless angles on the base and the scale that is big, without being bloated and overdone. It works as a playset as well as a display piece. Very nicely done, thanks for sharing it. Quote
Mandalorianknight Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I'm echoing the others' sentiments here, but seriously, this is some impressive stuff. It looks incredible, extremely detailed with solid architecture. The two ships would be solid MOCs on their own- I'm impressed you've got a rubber band mechanism for the X-wing in there. Quote

There was plenty of areas with interesting angles to tackle. 19 hours ago, Tariq j said: Excellent work here. Both ships look great. Thanks a lot for the kind comment! It was a lot of fun to dedicate som time to custom starfighters as well. Quote
MKJoshA Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Just gorgeous! Great custom fighters, great use of foliage to get the Yavin feel just right, and great shaping on your base. Quote

It took an extra Bricklink order to get an adequate amount of foliage in place, but it was well worth it! Quote
Guyinaplaguemask Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Awesome that you got the Y-Wing's cockpit to open properly Quote
jimmynick Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I like it! It's got all the right setpieces, it's got the right look. The sized-down X- and Y-wings look just great too. A loving recreation in every way! Quote

As the scale isn't correct it was fun to make the features all the more accurate. Thanks! 18 hours ago, jimmynick said: I like it! It's got all the right setpieces, it's got the right look.
