hvader Posted Tuesday at 10:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:40 PM (edited) I actually quite like Tarantulas design so it’d be a shame if his figure is also skipped Edited Tuesday at 10:40 PM by hvader Quote
Sinistereo Posted Tuesday at 10:49 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:49 PM Scorpion is an absolute must, I will be genuinely disappointed if he isn't in either set Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted yesterday at 10:12 AM Posted yesterday at 10:12 AM The expected reveal is around 4pm GMT, so in like 5 hours ^^ Final prediction time! My guesses are Spidey, Boomerang, and a Hand ninja in the smaller set plus Spidey, Hulk, Scorpion, MJ, and Sadie Sink in the larger set Quote

Scarilian Posted yesterday at 12:38 PM Posted yesterday at 12:38 PM (edited) Torn between whether they'd just lump a majority of the villains in the cheaper set because of the notion of it being a 'Prison Transport': Spider-man, Scorpion, Boomerang, Tarantula Spider-man, Hulk, Tombstone, Sadie Sink, MJ, Hand Ninja x 2 I think Scorpion needs to be in the smaller set while Hulk is probably the main appeal of the larger set. psqidexslizer Posted yesterday at 12:44 PM Posted yesterday at 12:44 PM I think y’all are expecting too much from these sets. I doubt we get anyone beyond Spidey, Scorpion, Hulk, Boomerang, Tarantula, and Sadie Sink. Honestly, I’d be surprised if we even get Boomerang and Tarantula. 14 minutes ago, psqidexslizer said: I think y’all are expecting too much from these sets. Looks like no Sadie Sink but we are getting Tombstone. Quote
hvader Posted yesterday at 12:59 PM Posted yesterday at 12:59 PM (edited) No Sadie Sink nooooooooo No Hand Ninja nooooooooo Edited yesterday at 12:59 PM by hvader Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted yesterday at 01:14 PM Posted yesterday at 01:14 PM (edited) Glad to see Tombstone, but we need better pics asap!! So it looks like Spidey, Tarantula, Tombstone, and a driver in the smaller set, and Spidey, Hulk, Tarantula, Scorpion, Boomerang, and MJ in the larger set Better than expected!! Sinistereo Posted yesterday at 01:25 PM Posted yesterday at 01:25 PM I may need both sets now.....they are WAY better than I thought they'd be Quote

I guess the good news is aside from Tombstone's head print you can get every desirable figure in the $90 set. The prison transport is blue (presumably because they decided tan would be too realistic, given that that transport has been so ubiquitous and well-covered that people used to joke the movie was just a 90 minute chase scene), so yeah, definitely no way we were going to get Frank in these sets if the transport being even vaguely close to military colors was too much for them. The designs are both solid, and the designers did a great job under their constraints. But I won't be getting either of these- tombstone's head print is the only desirable part of that transport set for me- why would I want a transport that's not even the same general range of color as the movie one? and the office building set, while solid, just isn't my thing and doesn't have any characters I want enough to spend $90 on the set for. Scarilian Posted yesterday at 01:49 PM Posted yesterday at 01:49 PM Need more Pixels. Like the build of the Prison Transport I guess. 33 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: So it looks like Spidey, Tarantula, Tombstone, and a driver in the smaller set, and Spidey, Hulk, Tarantula, Scorpion, Boomerang, and MJ in the larger set Better than expected!! Sinistereo Posted yesterday at 02:11 PM Posted yesterday at 02:11 PM everyone who freaked out about no dual-molded legs for Spider-Man can rest easy now lmao Quote
Darth Phallus Posted yesterday at 03:02 PM Posted yesterday at 03:02 PM (edited) Nice new minifigs in the prisoner transport set but it's never worth 50€.😉 Edited yesterday at 03:39 PM by Darth Phallus Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted yesterday at 03:09 PM Posted yesterday at 03:09 PM It’s not even MJ, it’s a hot dog vendor! Cool sets regardless! Quote
hvader Posted yesterday at 03:14 PM Posted yesterday at 03:14 PM Oh mannn let printings for all the villains!! Also I suspect that Tarantula and Boomerang won’t just be montage villains… Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM High-def pics of the Prison Transport are out there as well! Tombstone looks great! And the driver is actually a DODC guard ^^ Quote
psqidexslizer Posted yesterday at 03:47 PM Posted yesterday at 03:47 PM (edited) Minifigures look great. Hopefully they go the Mysterio route and we get comic versions of these characters in the near future (Boomerang’s head could easily be recycled). Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but is that a new neck bracket piece for Scorpion? Edited yesterday at 03:47 PM by psqidexslizer Quote
strangely Posted yesterday at 04:06 PM Posted yesterday at 04:06 PM (edited) The prisoner transport looks good, and the figs are nice. I like the sticker reference to TAS issue #134. The Hulk set has a great lineup of figures, I especially like how Scorpion turned out. The building looks a bit too plain to me, hopefully the interior has something interesting going on. Sadie Sink's character not being included is disappointing, but makes total sense. I imagine we'll see her in a spoiler set later on. I'm sad that MJ wasn't included and instead they opted for a random civilian. I don't really get that design choice as MJ being in the movie has never been a spoiler in any of these movies and I would think having one more named character would have been a benefit. Too, the bench and lamppost almost look like a spot where MJ and Peter could share a moment together. Overall I like the sets, but I'll probably wait for some type of sale or discount as the pricing is just a little too steep for me. Edited yesterday at 04:07 PM by strangely Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted yesterday at 04:08 PM Posted yesterday at 04:08 PM Three entirely new Spidey villains in the same wave has to set a new record, right? Usually, it’s one at most Quote
psqidexslizer Posted yesterday at 04:12 PM Posted yesterday at 04:12 PM I wonder if the prisoner transport also has TAS-134 in the movie or if that’s just in the set. Either way, it’s a fun little reference. 3 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Three entirely new Spidey villains in the same wave has to set a new record, right? I imagine we'll see her in a spoiler set later on. Yeah, it’s not surprising. The only way they could’ve included her is by giving her some sort of codename and put her in civilian clothes. Kinda would’ve defeated the point of featuring her in the first place A spoiler set could work, but since the character will certainly appear again, I don’t see it as a necessity. This isn’t a Spidey cross-over situation à la NWH, after all! 3 minutes ago, psqidexslizer said: The 2016 wave had our first appearances for Vulture, Kraven, Scorpion, and Hobgoblin. …right!! I forgot about Vulture being in a comic-inspired set first and Kraven being part of the Bridge Battle set Quote
