He’s a lock — he seems to be the advertised main villain at this stage

My guesses are Spidey, Boomerang, and a Hand ninja in the smaller set plus Spidey, Hulk, Scorpion, MJ, and Sadie Sink in the larger set

remember, Tombstone is also in one of these sets. That's what carter bricks said. Unless he was lying or misinformed which is absolutely possible

That was part of his April Fool’s post, which is a mix of obviously fake, real, likely fake, and possibly real information  I’d put it in the “possibly real” category, but we’ll see in a few hours I hope!

Torn between whether they'd just lump a majority of the villains in the cheaper set because of the notion of it being a 'Prison Transport':

Spider-man, Scorpion, Boomerang, Tarantula

Spider-man, Hulk, Tombstone, Sadie Sink, MJ, Hand Ninja x 2

I think Scorpion needs to be in the smaller set while Hulk is probably the main appeal of the larger set.

I think y’all are expecting too much from these sets. I doubt we get anyone beyond Spidey, Scorpion, Hulk, Boomerang, Tarantula, and Sadie Sink. Honestly, I’d be surprised if we even get Boomerang and Tarantula.

I'd had a crackpot theory that the "office" set was the prison and would get hand ninjas, but unfortunately not seems like.

I guess the good news is aside from Tombstone's head print you can get every desirable figure in the $90 set.

The prison transport is blue (presumably because they decided tan would be too realistic, given that that transport has been so ubiquitous and well-covered that people used to joke the movie was just a 90 minute chase scene), so yeah, definitely no way we were going to get Frank in these sets if the transport being even vaguely close to military colors was too much for them.

The designs are both solid, and the designers did a great job under their constraints. But I won't be getting either of these- tombstone's head print is the only desirable part of that transport set for me- why would I want a transport that's not even the same general range of color as the movie one? and the office building set, while solid, just isn't my thing and doesn't have any characters I want enough to spend $90 on the set for.

Smaller set has the better build but seems skippable other than Tombstone.

High-def pics of the Prison Transport are out there as well!  Tombstone looks great! And the driver is actually a DODC guard ^^

Minifigures look great. Hopefully they go the Mysterio route and we get comic versions of these characters in the near future (Boomerang’s head could easily be recycled).

Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but is that a new neck bracket piece for Scorpion?

The prisoner transport looks good, and the figs are nice. I like the sticker reference to TAS issue #134.

The Hulk set has a great lineup of figures, I especially like how Scorpion turned out. The building looks a bit too plain to me, hopefully the interior has something interesting going on.

Sadie Sink's character not being included is disappointing, but makes total sense. I imagine we'll see her in a spoiler set later on.

I'm sad that MJ wasn't included and instead they opted for a random civilian. I don't really get that design choice as MJ being in the movie has never been a spoiler in any of these movies and I would think having one more named character would have been a benefit. Too, the bench and lamppost almost look like a spot where MJ and Peter could share a moment together.

Overall I like the sets, but I'll probably wait for some type of sale or discount as the pricing is just a little too steep for me.

I wonder if the prisoner transport also has TAS-134 in the movie or if that’s just in the set. Either way, it’s a fun little reference.

The 2016 wave had our first appearances for Vulture, Kraven, Scorpion, and Hobgoblin.

Yeah, it’s not surprising. The only way they could’ve included her is by giving her some sort of codename and put her in civilian clothes. Kinda would’ve defeated the point of featuring her in the first place 

A spoiler set could work, but since the character will certainly appear again, I don’t see it as a necessity. This isn’t a Spidey cross-over situation à la NWH, after all!

…right!! I forgot about Vulture being in a comic-inspired set first and Kraven being part of the Bridge Battle set
