BrickBob Studpants Posted Monday at 10:36 PM Posted Monday at 10:36 PM The rumours about who Sadie Sink is playing are pretty persistent, but I still think it’s Spoiler odd they’re introducing a new variant of Jean Grey before Doomsday and Secret Wars. This version will be carried over into the post-Secret Wars universe I assume, but none of the other X-Men characters are getting a new MCU version before that, as far as I’m aware. And putting her in random civilian clothes seem a tad strange too Quote

And putting her in random civilian clothes seem a tad strange too Sadie Sink's character Spoiler of Jean is supposed to be the new face of the X-Men. They're treating her like they did Black Panther, when they introduced him in Civil War to set up interest in his solo movie, while simultaneously setting him up to be the new face of Phase 4-6 alongside Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel. That's why they're pushing her before any other X-Men character since it's all set up around her. Marvel seems to be synergizing their MCU with their portrayal of Jean in other media. In the comics, they recently gave a bunch of X-Men character solo titles and Jean's Phoenix title was the longest running one after Wolverine and I think had the best sales figures as well. In the Wolverine Insomniac game, Jean is the co-protagonist alongside Wolverine. Her backstory is very similar to what we seem to be getting in the MCU with Jean being a runaway in street clothes. In the game she's actually a Morlock living in the tunnels after running away from her parents, before she meets Wolverine. At the end of the game, Jean and Wolverine separate (both romantically and professionally) and Jean will found the X-Men upon meeting Xavier. I think Cyclops and Kitty are the first two recruits, alongside Forge who Jean and Wolverine encounter in the game as a captive of Sinister working for him. That game will likely have a similar storyline to the MCU where Jean will found the X-Men since she was always Xavier's first student in the comics. The civilian clothes make more sense since there won't be an X-Men yet. So she wouldn't have a uniform. Wondering if they might put her in a green miniskirt like her Marvel Girl outfit at some point although I don't think that fits Sadie Sink's style. Quote

They had to keep his minifig in the back of the store. It sounds like he was barely allowed to be grandfathered into the Daily Bugle set and we probably shouldn't expect a repeat of that anytime soon. Quote
hvader Posted Tuesday at 02:48 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:48 AM Spoiler People are saying that Jackal is the main villain, played by Keith David. That would be a sick minifig to get Potential spoilers for the movie ^ Quote

Yeah, Punisher and Blade (so why not Daredevil- this was like a year before he showed up in She-Hulk, too?) It seems like Lego has mixed signals with these- on the one hand, comic versions have shown up, and we even get a designer statement that Deadpool was considered, but rejected because the Fox deal hadn't gone through yet. But on the other end, they essentially shadowbanned the characters from store displays, and are now ignoring Punisher in what's probably the single best chance to get a figure of him. 2 hours ago, hvader said: Reveal hidden contents People are saying that Jackal is the main villain, played by Keith David. BrickBob Studpants Posted Tuesday at 11:50 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:50 AM Considering how little they’ve officially confirmed so far (like Hulk’s new Spoiler colour ), I’ve adjusted my expectations for these sets I was kinda hoping they’d reveal something this week, like promos or other toys, but since that’s not the case, I doubt LEGO will be the frontrunner here. Oh well With all the leaks, I’m not even sure if Boomerang’s design for instance has been made official yet! Quote
PRbrickbuilder Posted Tuesday at 12:08 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:08 PM They released official posters for the movie, and in a few hours there will be a Marvel Legends stream. I think the sets are really are really around the corner. 17 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: I’ve adjusted my expectations for these sets I was kinda hoping they’d reveal something this week, like promos or other toys, but since that’s not the case, I doubt LEGO will be the frontrunner here. Maybe we’ll be lucky and they reveal Tombstone’s movie design tomorrow as well? Them having access to concept art isn’t the issue, more that having his look “spoiled” through a LEGO set would be kinda weird. That’s Funko’s job!! Your suggestions sound pretty awesome apart from Tombstone missing ^^ Quote
hvader Posted Tuesday at 09:30 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:30 PM Lego Tombstone is incredibly exciting as disappointing as no Punisher is. They’re gotta use the Spider-Man 2 JJJ hairpiece in white right? Quote

Nah, that’s a different category Movie designs accidentally leaking through LEGO sets has a long tradition (going back to Grievous), keyword being “leak” though. This would be an official “spoiler”! Can’t recall too many of those Quote
