Governor Mister Phes Posted January 8 Governor Posted January 8 Pre-orders for Privateer Frigate Fortuna commence upon 16 February, 2026 at 8AM Pacific time Price: US$349.99 / £319.99 / €349.99 / AU$549.99. Embark on an epic voyage with the Privateer Frigate Fortuna — a swift and graceful 18th-century warship crafted for daring expeditions and high-seas adventure. This stunning 4,000-piece model is perhaps the closest a LEGO® creation has ever come to a historically accurate sailing frigate from the final years of the Golden Age of Piracy. Pre-orders start on February 16th, 2026! Quote
SpacePolice89 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I am so happy that this beautiful ship became Bricklink set but I believe it should also be available more permanently from Lego because it looks better than 99% of all 18+ sets currently sold by Lego. If it was available on store shelves many people would buy it. It got even better with the updated minifigs which shows how much BDP relies on what other sets are available at the moment. Quote

Let's see how well quickly it sells during Crowdfunding... A common complaint is the price, so even if it were on shelves, and people wanted it, how many would actually make a purchase? Quote

Fortuna's set number is 910059 by the way, would be nice to have this added to the title! With the piece count limit in place and people constantly complaining about prices & value it was extremely challenging to keep the entire model within range of 4000 pieces without losing detail. My insistence on increasing the Minifigure count and giving them more weapons, utensils and stowage for that made it even harder. I am incredibly happy with the result; you're definitely getting as much as I possibly could squeeze into the model. 23 hours ago, SpacePolice89 said: I am so happy that this beautiful ship became Bricklink set but I believe it should also be available more permanently from Lego because it looks better than 99% of all 18+ sets currently sold by Lego. There's only space for one large pirate-themed ship in the LEGO portfolio and it's already taken by the new Black Pearl. I am incredibly grateful that Fortuna could still get made through BDP! The 10365 Black Pearl (Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship) has 1225 less pieces / 8 fewer Minifigures and costs the same as Fortuna; in the US it's actually $30 more. Nevertheless, the Black Pearl sold out in multiple countries repeatedly, and is currently still out of stock here in Australia. Of course, it's a licensed set which drives up both the price and demand. But it's also hardly a perfect set, the shape of the cloth sails and the masts were widely criticised. I used that opportunity to design improved versions for both (still need to finish, post & promote instructions; I have too much to do right now). Edited January 9 by BrickPerfection Quote
Franco Clarke Posted January 9 Posted January 9 The price is lower than I expected, being comparable to the Pearl, but a much more attractive model. Eager to build this and add it to the fleet. Quote
Shiva Posted January 9 Posted January 9 16GMT/WET, 17CET, 18EET in Europe. SEK 4,399.90, here in Sweden. RIP my bankaccount, but bankaccount has to live with that. I did count that the price would be somewhere around there. 10365 Black Pearl, is the same price in Sweden. I wonder, what would be needed, if doing the bottom part of the ship + stand, as in, what is below waterline? Similar to what Black Pearl has. I hope you all understand what I mean, when my brain is too tired to put it into words properly. Waterline / Full Hull+Stand. Quote
Elephant Knight Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Price here in Canada is $489.99. Its more expensive than the Pearl, but more parts and minifigs, so I accept the price. Absolutely no way I am going to miss out on this ship. If I had the cash, I would get 2, one for the red ciats, one for the blue coats. I like how there is three different flag options, and two different name options. Great job, can't wait til August when it is likely to arrive. Quote

I agree, and I did look for that, but nowhere on the official BrickLink Designer webpage is that number mentioned. Quote

There are 24 stickers, 6 for each of the flags (6 redcoat, 6 bluecoat, 6 pirate), 2 for the bow pieces, 2 for the ship's name: 1 Fortuna, 1 Minerva. I don't see where the last 2 are Quote

They're not super visible, but I felt they some people might appreciate the extra detail. Quote
